Browsing through the SWs, here are the tower dump times... Assuming KM was actually at 4JC that morning, they might have his location for the entire day if the Avon and Bristol dumps are related to him, although those two locations are almost half an hour apart, and Avon was the Pond/storage units (not KM's purview I assume).

193 Birch Street, Bristol, doesn't seem to exist. It jumps from 191 to 197. It's a residential neighborhood as well. Anyone know if we ever got info on why Bristol?

I move to take a sample of illegally dumped garage in Hartford, and see if it is common to have such a marked ABSENCE of identifying DNA and or fingerprints on it.

But what really amazes me is the panty liner. How can such an item that is worn right up against skin and pubies, touching three holes that are sources of biological material, worn where one is generally warm and perspires, and had a sticky side to attract cells and hairs NOT have a usable profile? I don't get it.

MOO
Love it!

Short, sweet and to the point AS ALWAYs!

Gloves worn in multi layers are the obvious answer but I also wonder if they drenched everything in bleach spray or even possibly UV light or some other DNA disrupters. I leave it to the science folks to speculate as this is above my pay grade!

This was speculated about endlessly long ago with no consensus reached. We even drew circles around the area to figure out what might be covered.

NO need to bother with facts and data.

Nope, not at all….

Instead we get hours and hours of “testimony cross” with statements beginning with, “Won’t you agree”…..”Will you agree with me”, “am I correct in saying”…..

Blah, blah and more blah…..

MOO
I think he watched too much Harpootlian in the Murdaugh trial

Yea, I was surprised about that.

@Alkali13 - you actually made a map of these pings - see thread 47 post #224 - or just search for Birch St in the forum -seems we had lots of different ideas but nothing concrete !
(I do not know how to move the post here )

I remember, I just wasn't sure if I missed anything in the interim. That Bristol address has always bothered me. I remember the only thing of note in that area was Pine Lake Park, but I feel like there is no way it hasn't been combed if it was deemed remotely relevant (and the media has always been all over any LE activity with this case).

I think you can quote it back here.

Look at me, yes I did! Surreal to realize that was thread 47 and four years ago when we're only on thread 61 now.

If you want to check it out then suggest seeing if there is a map of cell towers in the area. My guess is that there might not be many and they pulled tower closest to what they were looking to find based on info they had. Urban and suburban areas can be tricky with cell towers. I think we did this ages ago but I don’t recall what we found out.

So there IS a Birch Street tower, I just don't see where yet or know exactly what "in-building IP access" means.

Long shot but the Southington ( rt 10) retail corridor is just south of Birch St with a Home Depot( 1149 Bristol Ave )and lots of dumpsters behind the retail. That may be FD/MT closest HDepot. And do I remember there is a Home Depot person on the witness list? JMO

It's a ten minute drive from Birch Street to the Home Depot, BUT it's a tie between that location and Bloomfield for proximity it would seem. Bloomfield is closer to where they dumped everything, but that doesn't necessarilly mean anything since it was hours apart.

What time do we have solid proof of FD being back in Farmington? This time pull for Bristol is 230-3pm.

Replying to my own for emphasis-

We know FD did the murder yet he had only ONE dna event captured on a bag.
MT had TWO dna events on bags.

They were glove wearing, and dna aware.

Fact she only had “3 skin cells” on 2 bags, makes her look TWICE as guilty of disposing evidence when compared to FD who had “3 skin cells” on one bag. 3rd grade math.
Stepping back, I do think this is part of the prosecution strategy- it's glaringly obvious that FD killed JFD brutally and bloodily, yet they were able to detect such little of his DNA amongst the evidence. Thus, we wouldn't expect to see tons of MT DNA here either.
JS would like to have you believe that is because the science of DNA testing is faulty in some way.

But no, that is because blood in the volume that we see it here is an excellent source of DNA that flows onto and will stay immobilized on the clothes and surfaces, while just physical contact is much less likely to leave as much DNA on a surface than a severe bloodletting like we see here. That's why there's so many matches to JFD.

There are also substantial pieces of evidence missing that were likely lost to trash pickup- primarily JFDs lower clothing- and additional gloves (such as latex gloves worn inside the Husky gloves by FD/MT) could have been lost with that. The single panty liner in a bag, and the bra and shirt without the lower garments of JFD, shows that they were clearly sorting and separating out evidence in highly detailed ways.

Here is an interesting article in the meantime for those wanting a little more insight into the forensic science of touch DNA extracted from clothing, many of these surfaces they are testing (like plastic bags) would be less likely to have skin cells rub off and stick to them than the friction from woven cloth:

Maybe it wasn’t used.

JS really wants to distance MT from her DNA on the tape and bag.

First she could have touched him in the Raptor. Secondary transfer.

Then she could have inadvertently touched the next bag while removing a bag while inside cleanity cleaning.

Then because he understands mitochondrial DNA like a 5th grader, maybe the daughter or mother touched the bag when they were cleaning so it's not MT at all....

And that's why there's such a teeny tiny bit of nanopicomichi.

Yes, but what's more probable?

MOO
You've got a way with words.
