Wonder if something was planned for Memorial Day Weekend that propelled this? Maybe a disagreement about the visitation.

He may have hired someone to kill her, but narcissists feel entitled, i.e. OJ and Scott Peterson they feel entitled, the rules dont apply to them... and they really believe they are smarter than every one , so it's more probable he did it himself and thinks hes outsmarted the police. Keep in mind, those with narcissist personality disorders have an emotional and intellectual IQ of a 14 yr old (when they became a narcissist) and they have no boundaries or a conscience.

Maybe, but they've been fighting about visitation/custody, etc. for the past two years. I think this all escalated because of financials. My hunch is this is about shady financials, a threat to business reputation if his financials were reveled. Add to that a vindictive man.

As sorry as I am to hear about the blood and clean-up in the home, I am grateful for a CLUE. She didn't just disappear without a trace - there is a clue.

Wait what? He wanted his wife and mistress under the same roof? No doubt LE is also taking a look at this woman whomever she is.

So... foul play is suspected ?
Sorry I was gone for a bit. Catching up.
Besides the visitation issues, it sounds like the husband owed his mother-in-law close to 2.5 million ?
That also sounds like a motive. Imo.
What... did he think with his soon to be ex wife gone, that the loan was erased ? Seriously ? And that everyone would just think she left without her children ?

I wonder if they've searched the area between Lapham rd and the train tracks. There is a decent chunk of woods between the rd and the tracks. I think theres like a frisbee golf course and a compost dump area. I'm sure they have but I didn't see them over there yesterday, just in the park. Maybe I'll take a walk down there tomorrow if they aren't there looking already.

Oh yeah. Its about financials but not how you think. It bothers him to no end that he has to pay her alimony, and as far as the kids, he could give a rat's 🤬🤬🤬 about whats best for them, it's about winning. These kids are his property, hes entitled in his mind to have access when he wants to them, his motives are not pure, its all about his image.

It’s funny. These guys are living the high life up until the divorce proceedings start, and then they are suddenly “broke.”

It’s quite remarkable.

BBM:

I completely agree with you that The Almighty Dollar is the primary motive in this case.
If Occam were here right now, he'd tell you all he can see are $$$$$$$.

The blood is definitely a huge clue. It certainly helped LE to identify the home as a potential crime scene, and it sounds like they were able to do so fairly quickly.

This case reminds me a little bit of another case I'm following here on WS.
In that other case, the (brilliant!) bf purportedly attempted to clean up the blood in the home by using Wet Wipes.

Has LE said anything about whether her cell found was found or if it's missing?

JMO.

Sounds like a crime of passion, not preplanned at all. A hitman wouldn't clean up after the crime would they? LE knows his movements, probably have neighbors camera film and are gathering cell phone records too. Question is where is she? Is the location of her SUV close to her home?

During the search of the park on Wednesday, police were assisted by a drone from the Norwalk Police Dept. and an aviation unit from New York State Police.

As crews search, police said a criminal investigation is being conducted concurrently to determine if she was the victim of foul play or intentional harm.

New Canaan police said a search of a home occurred in Pound Ridge, New York on Thursday with New York State Police.

No additional details of the search in New York have been provided.

Before living in New Canaan, Jennifer Dulos and her family lived in Farmington.

She had recently moved to Fairfield County while going through a divorce, which had been going on for about two years.

According to documents available at the Court's Law Library in New Britain, there was supposed to be a hearing on Wednesday, but that was postponed.

There are almost 500 court filings of their divorce.

I'm thinking a presser is not too far off now. Hope we at least get a POI out of it.

It’s probably a bit premature to determine the level of planning that went into this.

It’s entirely possible that this was a crime of passion, but it could have also been premeditated (and sloppy).

Hitmen don’t typically clean crime scenes, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t have help though.

If this wasn’t premeditated, then there should be a evidence that puts the killer at that location.

He probably had his phone turned on, or may have contacted someone in a panic.
