Police are looking for a missing East Haven mom who has been missing for almost two weeks.

They said they are treating the disappearance as suspicious and believe foul play might be a factor.

...

Her father, sister and husband reported her missing on July 3 and said she had been missing since the night of June 30, or the early morning hours of July 1.

Her husband told investigators that their 7-year-old daughter called him while he was at work and said her mother was not home when she woke up.

After getting the call, Popoco’s husband went home, found his daughter at home alone.

He said Lizzbeth was not there and most of her personal belongings were left behind

3 agencies involved already. And the name of a Major Crime Unit (plus the FBI) is usually not good news.

Another young child who's mother disappeared overnight.

This article has a lot more info from her sister and her father

'She Would Never Leave' Her Child, Sister Of Missing Mom Says

Info is mostly about the family dynamics. A couple particular things stood out. The sister hasn't spoken much with the husband. When asked about him she said:"I have a lot of things going on in my head. It's not healthy for me to talk to him."

They might not be on speaking terms but somebody is missing, so this must be quite the disagreement.

No real information about how she possibly left: on foot, in a car. Does she has her phone?

It seems she left sometime between when her daughter went to bed and when she woke up. Wonder if there is any cctv cameras in the area for that night.

hmmm, so her sister said on June 29th she was looking at an apartment in New Haven and then disappears the next day? I wonder where her husband works, since it seems he works nights. Timing doesn't sound good.

Doesn't appear she and husband lived together.

I wonder what time husband works. Did he leave before or after baby was put to bed? Why do police believe it is suspicious? Was there something found at the apartment for them to think she has been harmed? Her poor daughter and family. Really hope they find answers soon.

The article has said she was planning on moving out of the apartment they shared together. Sounds like they were having some problems and she was looking to leave with baby. Maybe he didn’t want her to

That is what is seems to be, he didn't want her leaving.

saw that on the news, wasn’t thinking it could be related to Lizzbeth

I didn’t either until our local Patch posted it with pictures...There appears to be woods behind the place but taping is limited to the areas listed above...Wonder what the correlation is...Was husband security there?Does he know someone who does? Was he ever employed there?

Confirmed by MSM to be related to LAP, major crimes on site. NBC seems to think they are concentrated behind a dumpster?

@ShaynahFerreira
Branford Police confirm this scene in the parking lot of LoMonaco’s Ristorante is connected to the search investigation of missing EastHaven missing mother Lizzbeth Alemán-Popoca. This investigation seems to be centered behind this dumpster. Branford & East Haven PD are assisting along with CSP’s Major Crimes Division

Police confirm a body was found behind the dumpster of LaMonaco’s Restaurant in #Branford. The Chief medical examiner has arrived. While Police can NOT confirm if the body found is that of Lizzbeth Alemán-Popoca, authorities say her family has been notified

Oh no! If it is her, why do these men do these horrible things? That’s assuming her husband is involved. Like Kori17 was asking, does he have some connection to the restaurant? Seems like a random place to put her.

That's such an odd spot to dump a body... LoMonaco's isn't exactly secluded, and is right on a fairly busy street with a bank literally across from it...
