Heaven forbid, DB get herself on TV and beg for her baby to be returned. Instead of talking about herself....perhaps SHE and JI could spend time reminding everyone that Lisa is still missing. Why is it up to LE to do this??

Or why it is up to the defense lawyer that no longer represents the parents?

I don't know. I'm just hoping & praying for a break through. When they told people they would be prosecuted for searching on their own I believe that a lot of people who would have otherwise looked stopped. I am hoping she can rally up new ideas and searches that result in finding baby Lisa and finding the guilty party because baby Lisa didn't walk out of her house.

Whoa did I miss something?

Who is "they" that said that?

I don't believe LE said people would be prosecuted for searching on their own. It's a free country. Unless these people are trespassing what will they be prosecuted for?

That's exactly why this presser seems so strange. Her clients have no need for her services any more so it gives the impression that the presser is for her, not her clients. Is it usual professional behavior to continue making statements about the case after you've been fired?

Maybe I will be surprised tomorrow.

Wondering by some strange chance if this presser is being done to put pressure on the mother?

Remember in the Brad Cooper case when the attorney for NC's parents did the custody depo? IMO that is what convicted Brad Cooper.

Strange turn of events by this Officer of the Court and it seems to be there is something behind her making a public comment. :twocents:

Not familiar with the Cooper case.

But are you saying that CS may have realized that DB or JI are guilty or at least have knowledge of what happened to Lisa, or at least know more than they've said? That is something that I've thought, and she may have excused herself (or let her employer, whomever it is, know that she wanted off the case).

Did CS have a "come to Jesus" moment? ;)

And are you saying that CS may be working with LE/FBI on this latest turn of events?

Maybe it's "just" that she realized that the family's/alpha attorney's/PI's focus was going everywhere but trying to find Lisa.

All the above have crossed my mind. Don't believe for a minute that CS will cross any lines per the code of conduct for a lawyer but her presser, if it actually happens has made me think she may have had a "come to Jesus" moment.

Thank you so much! Proof that I'm not going crazy  ....errr, well maybe not on these points...errrr...maybe that ship already sailed for other reasons. ;)

If the rich benefactor was smart she would dump Bill Stanton and his team and go with CS if she is really interested in finding the baby.

I seem to remember the female lawyer in Zahra Baker's case had actually gone out and gotten a real piece of evidence when her client told her where to look or took her there. I just wanted to state that even though it has nothing to do with this case.

Ms. Short may be a really great lawyer - IDK - but it is just my own personal feeling that she needs to just go on about her practice now rather than hold pressers. She was in the case, now she's out. I really do not care to listen to her.

If Ms. Short wants to help find Baby Lisa, I would respect her more if she were just to do it quietly and with no fanfare. That would be more impressive to me.

I feel she should dump JT AND Stanton, LOL!

Since she can not reveal privileged information how could you possibly know whether it can or can not bring results?

Well, there's no arrest, there's no live baby or remains. Surely LE isn't keeping THAT a secret too.

I completely agree. She is doing more, has more ideas, gets things more right than JT. What is he doing, except occasionally appearing as a talking head and getting the details wrong? But I don't really agree about BS though. Someone has their ear to the ground and is finding these witnesses and "players" (Hate that word, this isn't a game) for the media to interview, maybe it's him.

I remember that in (sweet, dear, little) Zahra's case! But I don't recall whether that evidence was allowed in. My layperson knowledge of trial law raised a flag. But I don't want to derail this thread. Zahra :rose:

Tomorrow will be interesting...CS' press conference (if it happens)...school is back on for the boys (but where are they?)...JT said the boys' LE interviews would happen this coming week (and what about the swabs? recent reports said those would happen...when?)...DB & JI are in hiding gosh knows where...BS is "laying low"...we want to hear more from/about pink-haired lady and who her ex is...we want to know more about the phone call to her phone...

Yet, most importantly, where is Lisa? :blowkiss:

So its your opinion that Cyndy Short should do a quiet behind the scene investigation, rather than enlist the public and form a large and widespread search?

I don't trust this little so called "news conference." Why does an attorney, who is no longer on the case, need to do a news conference to say she is going to continue to search for Baby Lisa?

RIDICULOUS! MOO

To me, that's a waste of resources. When you've got someone who knows how to be a spokesperson, knows how to arrange press conferences and walk throughs for the media of some of the evidence, why restrict them to hanging flyers? It's kind of like having the company CEO spend his time emptying garbage cans. It's a waste of resources - someone with less talent can do that, more cheaply. Volunteers with no skills at all can hang flyers.

Yea well apparently the parents decided her services are no longer needed, or she quit. So I really don't understand why she would want to continue on with searching, unless she knows something.

jjenny, I don't think that's how it went. First thing this morning on this board I read something about the Irwins not being aware that she was leaving.

This seems most certainly to be JT's doing.

Regarding a widespread search for Baby Lisa, we are talking four weeks down the line. This should have been done immediately with the parents leading the search. MOO.

Now, four weeks later CS wants to organize a search. Really???? MOO

These people have been resting on their laurels, for four weeks. That doesn't make me have a lot of sympathy for them. The most they have done is make sure they have a good defense lawyer. This is a circus, and there are too many "acts" to keep up.
