I suspected this initially when I heard all the lights were on. An intruder wouldn't leave all the lights on. When I was young and prior to being a parent, I only left lights on and a door unlocked if I had gotten totally trashed. I literally stumbled to my bed and passed out.
Some thinking off the wall- but as a Pediatrician I have seen parents think their child has just a cold and cough, but when they get up the next AM the children are dead. COD was sepsis and/or fulminate pneumonia. One of my parents couldn't bring herself to realize her child was dead and brought her to my office on a Sat. AM. Rigor mortis had already set in. Mom just couldn't comprehend her daughter was dead. She had fulminant Pneumococcal Pnemonia. We could have a cover up of something innocent or of something really abusive.

People are supposed to trust this admission as the truth. What if is isn't and is using this as an excuse to not know what happened? Why won't she let the police talk to her children. Her baby is missing. The police may be able to remember if she was drunk that night and may have made notes in their report about it. A drunk mother with a missing child..I hope it's in the report. I'm not sure about this yet, it seems too convenient and it's right before the GJ. I think her lawyer told her to make that statement. JMO

Drunk could mean less tolerance for a crying baby. Drunk could mean not hearing a crying baby who had a cold and could have been congested. Drunk could mean that a baby gets too much medicine. Drunk could mean that someone passed out and left the baby somewhere the baby shouldn't have been left. Yes, drunk could mean that she didn't hear the person in the house but if she wants Lisa back why is she not letting her kids talk to the police so that they might be able to say what they might have heard of seen? If this is an abduction those children might have seen something.

No one snatched this baby. Period. End of story.

MOO...IMO...JMO, etc, etc.

The exact word that came to my mind too. No kidding.

I don't have anything to say at this point. I have to think about this one for a bit. JMHO

Drunk could mean the baby woke up, you went to her drunk, and fell with the baby in your arms.

Quick question- when did LE first speak to her that night? When hubby got home? Is it possible she was still drunk? So maybe they knew right from then that something was wrong.

I hope they charge her with something........ would this not fall under child abuse?

Neglect maybe because there was a bad result, a bad impact to the child from the neglect (disappearance). We'd have to look at the statutes and maybe some other cases in that state.

I don't know if it could be considered abuse unless/until they have evidence that Lisa was injured or died.

This is deliberately put out there by DB. Not to show how honest she is, but to make it look like this is the worst of it. Drunk therefore irresponsible. But not the one responsible for her daughter’s disappearance or possible demise.

Also another convenient thing to add to the list of the supposedly luckiest abductor ever. Door unlocked, lights on, drunk adult unable to protect the baby.

I call it strategy. And I’m jumping off the fence. DB knows what happened to Lisa. I bet she even knows where she is. :(

All my opinion. :twocents:

Well...... IF there was an intruder, he is the luckiest one in the World, possibly in all of History.

1. Dad's first night to work the overnight shift
2. Mom left front door unlocked
3. Window was left open and screen was bent (?)
4. Black Lab outside in backyard and Dog did not bark.
5. Baby monitor is always on, yet mom did not hear anything
6. Little Lisa's bedroom door is closed
7. Various room doors are closed
8. various Lights are turned on
9. "Intruder" stumbles on 3 cell phones in the kitchen
10. "Intruder" takes Little Lisa and Mom does not wake up.
11. "Mother" gets drunk

Intruder, my 🤬🤬🤬

I wish Peter Alexander didn't tweet this information tonight and just surprise the world on Monday. Jeez!!! At least I wouldn't be so "ticked off" late in the night.

But how would a drunk woman pull off a cover up that stumped tracking dogs, FBI and LE? To me this would make everything SO much more believable. Hypothetically, she drank too much, left lights on, door unlocked, fell asleep, and someone who vaguely observed took advantage- maybe even someone who believed her to be unfit and not worthy of such a happy baby since she was making such choices.

It could also explain the failed polygraph, if she was trying to cover up her state of being or just felt intense guilt because she knows that had she been sober it probably wouldn't have happened. If she was drinking with someone or on her front porch, LE probably already knows and it's just news to us.

ETA- This is all just speculation and thoughts. Obviously there is an alternative that she called someone for help and didn't cover up alone. I realize there are many possibilities. I just think we need more evidence, once the time is appropriate of course.

Excellent post Abby!

BBM

I've never been on the fence about Debbie, but I have been on the fence about Jeremy. I'm hopping off that fence right now. He knows too, imo.

Drunk could mean the baby woke up, you went to her drunk, and fell with the baby in your arms.

Sounds plausible. So what could she have done at that point, being drunk and having a dead baby to hide.
The only thing I can think of is calling someone close, like a big brother, and pleading for help.

I agree. She didn't have to admit it to the public but she did so I think it may make her story more believable? The problem is if poor Lisa died because of accident due to mom's carlessness or was there really an intruder?

What if mom picked her up in her drunkeness and dropped her?

Either are equally possible i guess. I find the drunk issue explains things like not locking doors, turning off lights etc. Giving easy access to an intruder. Heck it could have been the person there earlier who came back knowing she was drunk.

An accident works too..but i jsut can't see why she wouldn't call 911 drunk or sober.

No, your eyes are not deceiving you! I set my ray gun to "beam" and beamed over some posts from another thread. :kimsterwink:

Interesting development! I feel like a terrible sleuth by not putting the boxed wine purchase together with the probably she got drunk.

LE had to have noticed that DB was still drunk when they came to the house and perhaps even smelled the wine coming off her body. I guess the wine carton was at the house unless the neighbor took it home.

These tidbits of information coming out 2 weeks after Baby Lisa's disappearance are mind boggling. They were interviewed numerous times and nothing ever came out.

O/T It makes sense now when DB stated she was getting prepared to be arrested.
