Two thuds? No splash sound?

Sorry I can't remember who posted that really great timeline last thread about sequence of events. I wonder if we should start updating with some of the witness accounts to see if there's a really definite sequence now?

If he was going to slam the boot shut and not care about the load thud noise it made , surely he would have slammed the car door closed as well making a third thud !!!

Baden-Clay lunchbreak. Back 2.30. Then hear evidence from a Dr who examined GBC and a forensic pathologist. @abcnews

Thank God for the lunch break.. I can get some work done lol.

This is where Mr Davis wanted to draw out and confirm the thuds IMO. It could be a useful strategy towards creating a suicide doubt i.e. Allison jumping off the bridge herself. The only sticking point is the sound of a car door closing IMO.

Champers, I'm planning on doing a summary of evidence, with times etc. at the end of today's court proceedings.

I know - someone gave her a lift to the bridge and then drove off after she leapt and then they disappeared

Bless you Makara.

I'm really starting to struggle with this. It just breaks my heart to hear the anatomy of someone's last few hours. It's just heartbreaking. I can't bear it. That poor woman. Her poor children. Her family, friends. I just don't know how they can cope with this. I guess they do because they have to. How can gbc stand around laughing and joking when his wife's demise is being analysed. Playing devils advocate, if he did not do it and is genuinely a grieving husband, would he really be joking around at this hearing? I'd be distraught if it were my husband.

I suppose I've lead a sheltered life and thankfully not encountered people like this. I don't understand it. What a terrible waste of a beautiful and precious life.

Champers, thank god there are thoroughly nice people left in this world like you. Please don't cry.

For those of us who have lost our innocence, unfortunately this disgusting behaviour and violence and selfishness is all too common. Good people like you and others on here are why the people involved in this sort of thing as an occupation are able to stick with it. They go home from work, shower the filth from their bodies and hopefully their souls, and keep on going to try and stop the next one and keep us all safe.

You have to believe we as a society are better than that.

That would be assisted suicide which is still a crime I think.

Beautifully said.

Each of these neighbour testimonies lacks certainty on its own; each can be batted away by the defence or at least have plenty of "but what if?" and "how can you be sure?" holes punched into them. Perhaps this is why there are so many being presented, to give that sense of cumulative weight (come on, people, if so many people heard noises that night, something went down). But it's still not sounding very strong or compelling (if you really and distinctly heard a woman scream, wouldn't you at least call the police or go outside and have a look?) and I wonder why the prosecution started with these particular witnesses? Maybe they were really hoping to start with the RA counsellor but that got shot down fairly quickly?

Good to be back, and seeing so many still following the case.
Thanks to those giving us live updates, this case makes me nervous when the prosecution admits it's a circumstantial case, and I hate to say it but this Davis guy looks good.
I wouldn't be worried about the police and guards laughing with GBC, it's when you see the Defence laughing and joking with the "press" I get worried.

The committal hearing will also hear from an expert botanist who examined the six species of plant found on Baden-Clay's body.

Only two of those are found at Kholo Creek, where her corpse was discovered. However, all six are present around the Baden-Clay's back patio and carport.

there seems to be a few times here that don't fit in...

neighbours hearing screams at 11.30pm, dogs howling 12.30am at Kholo Creek that all fits in to me that Allison was killed at 11.30pm and then placed/thrown at Kholo Ck at 12.30am...she was placed in that position not long after she was killed and they know that re the Lividity , and now a thud at 10.30pm at Kholo Creek????
I believe it would have been possible for some reason for the murderer to return to the scene and that could be why 2 vehicles were seen there at 4am.

all my opinion only

Agree with comment that is is beautifully said. Thank you. Very comforting. Hawkins was right. It is very hard to hear this.

Hey, Kiwi50, great to see you back with us. The thing is with the police and guards laughing with GBC, you can be sure that at the end of the day when GBC is returned to his cell, these same guys will be laughing AT GBC.

MOO.

Is it possible GBC went to the bridge twice? Once on his own to dump Alison and then a second time with a Helper so that they could move Alison to a more covered area? and clear evidence? These witnesses hearing barking and screams at different times and locations is confusing me.
