Just incase anyone missed it at the end of the last page....

Dr Hoskins excused and free to go. Morning break #BadenClay

Yay! That's what Dr. Milne said on Monday too.

And you may also recall that it was discussed here at great length a few weeks ago :blushing:

All that stuff about first-pass principle through the liver, samples being taken from the liver, post-mortem redistribution, etc etc.. All sounds somewhat familiar?

11.31am: Dr Hoskins said he believed the level of anti-depression medication recorded in Allison Baden-Clay's blood was not enough to have killed her.

"Given the level found in the blood, it would be exceptional (if she'd died from it)," he said.

"It's never happened before at that level.

"So the level is too low?" prosecutor Danny Boyle asked.

"Yes," the doctor replied.

"Everything that is found in these samples would be explicable with a normal therapeutic level

He must be just squirming in his seat.

Slightly OT but I once had a dog that did that. Whenever you told him off, he would go and sit facing into the corner and completely ignore everything going on around him, it was as if we were not really there.

It seems like a strange approach, wonder why defence hasn't told him to sit up straight, face the court like a Man?

Doctor just told us it would be "exceptional" if Allison had died of overdose. Levels too low, he said. #badenclay

they will still manage to twist that to being ... but still possible

If were up to me he would be facing the gallery with a spotlight on him and a camera aimed right at him.... uncomfy much haha.

Brisbane Magistrates Court heard Mr Robertson swore an affidavit during a bail application that Baden-Clay made a FaceTime call at 2.30am on April 20, a few hours before he reported Allison missing.

"But Mr Robertson, who has worked within the Queensland Police Service computer investigation section for about 4.5 years, later realised the 3GS was an older model iPhone without the capacity to use FaceTime technology.

"An iPhone 3GS is not capable of making FaceTime calls, so the whole thing is just wrong?" Mr Davis asked.

Mr Robertson said he checked with the data extracting software manufacturer who admitted there was a glitch with the program and cross-checked the data with two other programs."

This explains for me the reason further tests were done on the phone which I had been wondering about. It was because Neil Robertson realised later about it being a 3G phone. This is good work by Mr Robertson.

Mr Davis went on to question Dr Hoskins about what happens to the anti-anxiety medication Sertraline after death.

The court heard Allison had Sertraline in her system when she died.

"The amount of Sertraline cannot increase after death," Dr Hoskins said.

"The concentrations in certain parts of the body may alter after death - some may increase, some may decrease."

Dr Hoskins said the medication would be more concentrated in fatty tissues.

"Are we looking at this drug accumulating in the blood of the liver or the tissue of the liver?" Mr Davis asked.

"It will accumulate in the tissue of the liver," the doctor said.

Mr Davis said samples taken from the liver tissue would show an inaccurately high level of the drug and the blood less so.

He asked why the blood sample would have had a high reading.

Dr Hoskins said the blood sample would have been contaminated by the drug being released from the liver tissue as the cells broke down.

He said the tests could not reveal "with any accuracy" how much Sertraline was in Allison's system.

I'll say it. You were sooo right Doc. Well done.

Having the antid's is a good thing by the way I see it as it shows she was taking her meds. Things can go terribly bad when you dont take them or stop taking them suddenly.

I find it all very odd.
Would he not think that acting like he is would cause people to talk about him more?
It is not the actions of a person wanting to stand there and fight these alligations in my opinion.

If someone killed my other half I would not be able to contain my emotion,I would be begging people to find out who did this to them. I would be asking friends and family to proclaim my innocence to whoever would listen.
All he had to do or all one of his friends or family had to do, was simply say "Gerard did not do this, he did not kill his wife".
I can picture G standing there with his tail between his legs too.

That's dog snobbing! One of my little dogs does that with our much larger dog, she ignores him but never does it with the other little dog. It's her way of saying "I'm not interested in you at all, and i'm no threat".

Injury near right armpit on front. Expert says he'd be surprised if a rubbing injury. He draws no conclusions #badenclay

Could this be from leaning against bridge railing whilst dumping a body ?

Very good point Bayside. Less likely to suicide if you are taking medication for depression, not more likely.

How high is that rail? If he leaned on it or over it, where would it come to on his body I wonder? There is a photo somewhere of a sleuther standing next to the rail. Must look for it.

I have an image in my mind of what happened that night. I can't get rid of it, I can't shake the feeling that's how it happened! The chipped tooth, the Zoloft, the bruises to her rib, the scratches on his face.

I dont think the idea of the suicide theory came to Gerard until later. If he had wanted to go that way he would have said straight up that he was worried about her mental state. At no time did he say that, he said she seemed fine and there were no fights etc.

I think he was trying to make out she was abducted at first then lawyered up and shut up.

I agree I would fit in with the injuries, especially with the chipped tooth. Is it possible?
