Exactly.. where did it go.

Those partners were fools to do business with him like that.

Con men have the ability to fool the smartest people on earth. Where's that forensic accountant indeed!

''You're here to sink the boot, aren't you?'' - defence barrister to Baden-Clay former business partner Phillip Broom.

the business had a couple of good years, WHERE did all the money go to?? partners not paid, staff not paid, commisions not paid, rental not paid..dodgy accounting sheets... Nige and Elaines payments kept secret from the partners, due to their 'privacy'...

where DID that money go to?

The unfortunate combination of an expensive move into big new premises with the Qld floods?

I heard on the news that the friends and relatives had reserved this area themselves. They most definitely can see him from over there. The exact seats and rows to sit in to see him were mentioned in an online news story either this morning or yesterday.

I will bet my house that the lady in white could see him. She made it glaringly obvious. Were you in court ? Could you see the lady that I am talking about ?
( please don't take the tone of this question as accusatory, because its not :blushing: )
I was sitting in the first public area when you go in the door. Third row back, behind the media people.

There was also a couple of times when the Forensic Dr's evidence didn't agree with what Mr Davis was trying to say and this lady smiled and glared even harder at GBC. More or less to say - stick that !

Perhaps she's the one named in this report??...

Three alleged affairs, including a relationship with a woman named for the first time as Jackie Crane, and their impact on his troubled marriage are also detailed

I would think that is a sure sign of both desperation and frustration by Davis.....

JF seemed to blame the downfall of the partnership on TM. Was she meaning that he was distracted, spending too much time and/or money on her? I would love to know what JF meant by that statement.

At some point Gerard was leaving his wife to be with Toni, at other points he was leaving Toni to be with his wife - Mr Broom. #badenclay

Breno, have to say I disagree on this one. I think this one had completely disengaged from the relationship and couldn't have given a fat rat's cl$&@er what she did - unless of course it inconvenienced him. He would have been quite happy if she had disappeared off the face of the earth....oh....
Haha... oh wait... she did. Shock horror!!

If ever two opinons could have collided so perfectly :floorlaugh:

Baden-Clay told business partner he needed a bigger car with room enough for his children and his lover's children. #badenclay

:thud: :puke:

I'm still trying to keep an open mind through all this. But THIS makes me sick. Unbelievable. There are NO WORDS. None.

Wasn't it mentioned in the last few days that all the evidence (written statements, etc) form part of the hearing? So the prosecution may not need to question witnesses much because they would have already submitted their case in the written reports? The magistrate can then use all information to make a decision. Ali might be able to shed light on this.

Correct Strangeworld, that is why we are not hearing much from the prosecution. It is mainly left to the defence to cross examine these agreed witnesses on their statements. The prosecution is sometimes re examining to clarify something raised in cross examination.

Marlywings - she was an older lady there with a man I suspect to be her husband. She reminded me of a nice kind aunty. I guess she is around 45-55 years old. The gentleman sitting next to who I think was this woman's husband, was taking notes and I estimate his age to be 65-70

Agreed and there is only guilty or not guilty - and trying to give both sides. Poor Mr. Davis needs to man up!

Which is typical as they tell the wife one thing and the affair partner the other.

Yeah, that bugged me a little. What right do business partners have to give, what appears to be an ultimatum regarding the personal life of a business partner? It was affecting the business somehow, clearly but in what way?

Yes, sort of something you'd say when you've got nothing left to say. May as well have said "Oh just go away and leave us alone! Can't you see we're already stuffed??!!"

well, its rather odd that Mr Davies would say that, he chooses whom he is going to question, why call someone to the committal who you think will 'sink the boot'?? the prosecutor merely makes sure these people currently being questioned turn up with a working knowledge of their statements they made to the police. He doesnt choose them.

a sort of pitiful complaint, really. hardly logical.
