3:30pm Marissa Calligeros: (Live from the Baden-Clay hearing) We're learning an awful lot abut caterpillars and moths this afternoon, especially which species typically reside in Brookfield, the western suburb the Baden-Clays called home.

Gerard Baden-Clay claims that abrasions on his neck and chest came about after a caterpillar fell on him, and he scratched it away. We in the court have come know this as "the caterpillar incident".

The whole caterpillar saga brings up that question - how much would a jury need to be convinced beyond reasonable doubt? Obviously Davis is going for gold trying to show reasonable doubt, but where would the line be drawn? Would the expert witness saying he couldn't find evidence of caterpillars in the area (via literature reviews and personal inspection) be enough?

Yes it really is child like behavior. Hiding behind a pillar with that child like thinking of I can't see you and therefore you can't see me and then poking her head out to take a peek at little brother who's in trouble. Then remaining in hiding so that she doesn't get into trouble too!

Flouncing around the court instead of sitting there like a grown up listening to it all. I find that extremely odd...

I do have a question about OW though, I'm sure that I read earlier that she home schools her kids. Does anyone else know about this? Maybe she has had to put them into school to be able to spend a lot of time in Brissy this year?
I wonder if she will support GBC 'at all costs'? Whatever that may be? Surely this has to be impacting on her marriage and family life?

I think OW will stand by him till she has sold everything they have to support him.

Dr Guymer says all plant species found on Allison's body were found in the area of her rear car port. #badenclay

THANK YOU DR. GUYMER! The forensic experts are slowly painting a picture of what really happened that night. :rocker:

can anyone see a pattern forming here?
Allison was on medication for depression.
Toni appeared to be medicated yesterday.

Wondering if the other women needed medicating after being associated.
OW obviously just not thinking straight
Any others having breakdowns?
All caterpillars died in vicinity of GBC
Scraps is now medicated but it's business as usual for a little doggie dog.

Back when he was working in homocide and was involved in ABC case - Davis - you have no conversations with GBC did you ? Did you have any dealings with TM or was that left to other police too?

Asking if he is familiar with Kerrianne walker and her other friend ( sorry forgot name)

Davis - you will accept that abcs mental health was of concern or issue

Is asked about how they looked into this and he mentions a psychiatrist was contacted and enquirers were made

to the court attendees.. * my heros* .... is Davis ... let me put it this way.. is Gerard getting his moneys worth out of Davis?? has he managed to punch holes in any testimony so far?? do any of his alternative scenario's , if he put up any, been plausible and compelling?? Anything that makes you think , hang on.. maybe there is a whole other explanation here... Does Gerard appear comfy with the whole panoply so far..

do any of the people who have so far been testifying appear to be shifty, or dodgy or just plain looney * I excuse Toni from this category* ..??

lots of questions.. I do so appreciate what you do.

Sorry first sentence of my last post - if the detective was familiar with the two ladies statemtns

Davis is asking about a nsw blood expert and his involvement witness silent - Davis says lets start with this, do you remember who he was - Davis did this person do an examination of the captiva detective doesn't know without referring to his notes

And it just keeps on reminding me of the quote I posted the other night...

"Forensics helps develop the facts of the case. But interviews and witnesses give you the conclusions of who did the crime." ~ Gary Hompland

4:02pm Marissa Calligeros: (Live from the Baden-Clay hearing) Dr Gordon Guymer said he found traces of six different plant species in samples taken from Mrs Baden-Clay's hair and arms.

He found the same combination of six plant species at the Baden-Clay's Brookfield home.

"There is no other location in the Brookfield area that has a combination of those six species," he said.

Included in the species Dr Guymer identified in Mrs Baden-Clay's hair were Cat's claw Creeper and Crepe Myrtle, and he said he found those two plants growing wild around the Baden-Clay's car port.

I wonder if Davis is testing the 'blinkers' suggestion - were the prosecution too focused on proving GBC guilty and not considering other scenarios?

Former homicide detective says they initially looked into whether Allison's mental health had anything to do with disappearance.

Another theory, maybe the jumper was pulled over her head because he couldn't look at her face whilst disposing of her body?

I believe he may have dragged her by that jumper and that's why it ended up where it did.

i wonder where all the money went, especially in 2010-2011 when they had a good year?
did they take overseas trips?
did gbc have another secret life apart from his affairs?was he being blackmailed?
all the evidence points to him being very secretive, so what else was he hiding and did allison find out about it and threaten to expose him?
was he attracted to men as well and was this what the bruce overland email acc was set up for?
he seems so keen to prove his prowess with women to everyone!
so many secrets!?
sorry, just some rambling thoughts
