JUST IN: On the day Chutkan plans to release a large cache of Jack Smith’s evidence, Trump asks her to delay until Nov. 14
Trump says he wants a chance to put his side of the story in the public domain — his would have come out today if he didn't ask for a 5-week delay.

IIUC Judge Chutkan has issued an order regarding the release of additional evidence in this case. ABC online October 17, 2024 article by Katherine Faulders, Alexander Mallin, and Peter Charalambous entitled ‘Judge in Trump's Jan. 6 case rules additional evidence will be unsealed Friday’:

Two quotes from the above cited article:

“The judge overseeing Donald Trump's federal election interference case, in an order late Thursday, denied the former president's last-minute request to block the release of additional evidence gathered by special counsel Jack Smith.”

“Chutkan faulted Trump's lawyers for peddling what she called political arguments rather than engaging with the relevant factors to justify sealing the evidence in the case.”

The BEST quote from the judge:

"If the court withheld information that the public otherwise had a right to access solely because of the potential political consequences of releasing it, that withholding could itself constitute -- or appear to be -- election interference."

Maybe this has been posted, but I haven't seen it. What would happen to these indictments if Trump wins? Do they get put on hold for his term?

He recently said he would fire Jack Smith within "2 seconds" if he wins.

I predict (JMOO) that he will lose, but on the off-chance, I just wonder if the indictments would be put on ice.

Trying to get the case dismissed on the premis that Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed (as they did with the Mar A Lago case).

Clarence Thomas' name is mentioned 19 times in the motion.
