On June 12, 1976, at about 6:30 pm, while in the area of 1800 block of Vernon Street, NW, Georgetown University professor Dr. Gawaina J. Luster was found to be the victim of a homicide-strangulation.
Must have been a high profile murder since she was a professor, Wonder if it was random or something personal towards her?
No photo of her here but I found one in a newspaper and she's caucasian.
