What a huge sad mess...

It's sickening enough that SY is complicit in this, but the "Grandma" too?! Would this be SY's mom, or the "stepdad's" mom? Or is the "grandma" even related to Relisha at all?

Ugh, this poor baby girl! Case after case I see here, I think my God, I have seen it all. And then another one is posted.....this poor child. It's like nobody gave a hoot that she has been gone. I just can't wrap my head around this. If my child was just gone I would need to be sedated and probably hospitalized. It makes my heart just ache for these children nobody seems to care about. I keep this little sweetheart close in prayer and I hope to God not a hair on this child's head has been harmed.

How traumatizing would that be to her if she saw this sob murder his wife? Poor baby. :(

My apologies for the resolution, but that's the best I could manage on a chromebook screen without blowing the margins :blushing:

This may be better than a nationwide Amber Alert. It is a sign that the FBI is taking Relisha's well-being as seriously as we are. Therefore, this is the best news I've heard.... :moo:

May all LE be guided in finding her quickly - may she be alive when they do :please:

:praying: with all I have for Relisha to be found, to have a chance to FINALLY have the life she and her siblings deserve - TOGETHER!

I updated my map with some key points.

There was a live broadcast on NBC Washington just a little bit ago that had information that I had not heard, but admittedly, I have not been able to watch much news lately.

These points can be added to the timeline, if not already on there.

3/19 - Kahlil left work abruptly and drove to Richmond and back, though they do not know why
3/19 - Social Worker arrives at DC General inquiring for Dr Tatum and paperwork explaining Relisha's absences
3/19 - Khalil and Andrea Tatum check into the Red Roof Inn, Rm 132
3/20 - Kahlil calls friend and asks him to pick him up at the Red Roof Inn and drop him off at the Southern Avenue Metro
3/20 - Shortly after Kahlil is picked up, Andrea Tatum is found dead in the hotel room.

I speculate now that the white truck actually belongs to the friend and may have actually been parked at the friend's residence in the 1600 block of N Street when it was found. I have not been able to find a link to any residents on that street to Tatum's FB yet, though I speculate that many of his "friends" are not actually on his FB.

Let me know if there is anything additional to add to my map.

Sounds like LE just missed him.

The dichotomy of this case is SO striking, it almost takes your breath away.

Revelations regarding Relisha's family situation continues to boggle the collective mind. A bright 8-year old girl, who was kept at home for an extended period of time, while her mother (by definition, it seems) enlisted the help of kt to facilitate that absence.

The obvious question is, Why? What possible explanation could there be for a parent of several young children to keep the eldest home from school, and deceive the school with the help of her now-kidnapper to do so?

Even worse, why in the world would you refuse to proceed with the necessary arrangements to facilitate an Amber Alert? There is no reasonable explanation I can think of for DCFS to have to intervene, in order to take custody away, to save one child, while the clock is ticking. Statistically, we here at WS know that those first few hours are crucial. By the time the proper authorities became aware, Relisha was far past that critical point, yet SY continued to stonewall. Then, she complained when she lost custody of all of her children. It is literally mind-blowing.

On the flipside, we see Social Services/ DCFS, and the FBI responding with the level of concern I think any parent would appreciate. Granted, not all agencies' responses have been perfect (the inter-agency snafu with the AA between PG County and the nearby states, being one), however, the FBI's decision to place kt on the Most Wanted List has bypassed all of that now.

This is an example of the proper response to a missing child, despite a fair amount of time passing since she was last seen, despite the fact that all of the facts surrounding the exact time of her disappearance not being concrete, despite the fact that her mother has not made the best decisions leading up to her being allowed to leave with her kidnapper (and now a known murderer) - my point is that Relisha's case has united us - regardless of socioeconomic level, culture, or belief system.

We are united in our quest to find a precious child, and fight for her (and her siblings) to grow up, healthy and happy. They may have spent the first part of their formative years in the shadows, their cries unheard, but those days are OVER.

:praying: for the happy news that Relisha is found safe, and dreaming of her hugging her siblings. I need something to hold onto, right now.

:twocents:

Sorry for the long post.... :blushing:

Sounds like LE just missed him.

That's what the news made it sound like. I'll bet he saw the news, as the story broke very early on the morning of the 20th (I started the thread at 6am), killed his wife, so she wouldn't talk and had his friend pick him up. Maybe a hotel employee saw the vehicle descriptions and contacted LE.

Check out Shamika Young's FB. Post March 21, and the comments underneath her post. SY wants Relisha brought back, BUT she doesn't want the Police or CPS involved. She just wants Relisha brought back to her and no one else! And some who replied are calling SY out on all her B.S.

I could barely read the comments. What language are they using?

School officials say Relisha's grandmother presented the school with a paper and the number of a "Dr. Tatum." The school called the number and a man answered, whom police now assume was Khalil Tatum, a janitor at the shelter, pretending to be a doctor.
When the school insisted on a written confirmation and Tatum reportedly told them to drop the form at the D.C. General shelter, school officials learned there was no Dr. Tatum. That's when they called police.
Sources tell ABC7 that when Relisha disappeared, they tried to get the girl's mother to approve an Amber Alert, but she refused

I am glad that people she knows are calling her out on her bs. None of this makes any sense, unless she wanted that little girl gone and then was being questioned too much and had to make up this stupid story. Just makes me wanna puke! MOO.

I wonder if he took Relisha there and left her with someone.

Maybe it was related to the inquiry about who Dr. Tatum is/Mom asking for Relisha back that day? It seems like a lot of things happened on the 19th to bring this situation to a head.
