Respectfully bolded by me. No, I'm actually not sure that's a fact. I believe he used to be on staff at Beebe, but left to go with a private group practice or to start his own private practice. I believe he used to be on staff with Lewes Pediatrics, but he started Baybees a long time ago. I have friends that have used an office that had Bradley on staff but saw a different doctor. I have other friends that use Baybees but have seen somebody other than Bradley. Sometimes people consider the nurse practioner the same as a doctor, it's a common mistake. I went to school in the medical field & know the difference and importance of the titles. I seriously thought Bradley was part of a bigger practice involving other doctors, which is being told to me by my sons' godfather's brother & sil that live in Lewes. Something that was told to me tonight is that this didn't just start 11 years ago. Several people believe this has been ongoing most of his life. What sparked him to become so brazen as of late? How could somebody in the medical field go undetected for so long when involved in child 🤬🤬🤬🤬, rape, & molestation? Surely he has a secretary...or nurse, or doctor's associate. There are other Baybees facilities, so I'm wondering if they back one another up. I have no idea. There's alot of mixed up feelings toward the whole medical establishment and police down there right now. The police & attorney general's office has stated that there may have been reports to initiate the investigation but they lacked the physical evidence needed to secure a conviction once Bradley would have been charged. That's why they hesitated until they had something more concrete. I tend to agree with the residents of the Lewes community. I believe the police should have erred on the side of caution and investigated him while suspending him from practicing. I believe the Board of medical Practioners should have been made aware from the very beginning. They weren't. People in the community were made to think that if he would have been arrested prematurely, then he could have destroyed evidence. I just don't see it. More people have been victimized b/c of this hesitation and now those people in the "know" have to live with that knowledge. I pretty much believe that there will be a huge fallout all the way around. Lewes is an incredibly small community... one that's completely full of very old history. This is one seriously heinous crime that is sure to have many arms of victimization. I feel sorry for those that have to live with this. May peace be with you all.

A big thank you from me as well for all your work, JG.

He did his residency at Jefferson Pediatrics. So now people have to worry it goes this far back. I was thinking Jeff doesn't even have Ped's anymore, but they do. Pretty sure.

How unfathomable? This thing and his big ugly a*sed knight in shining armor.

Two more articles:

http://www.capegazette.com/storiescurrent/201001/bradley-victims01.html

"Anger, confusion, shock and unanswered questions poured out Tuesday, Dec. 29, at a public meeting about the alleged crimes of Dr. Earl Bradley.
Dozens of parents of potential victims packed the meeting sponsored by Beebe Medical Center at its Route 24 campus."

http://www.capegazette.com/storiescurrent/201001/bradley-biden05.html

"Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden and Col. Robert Coupe, superintendent of the Delaware State Police, are teaming up their respective offices to sponsor a community outreach forum, 6-8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8, at the Cape Henlopen High School theater, for families affected by the ongoing investigation of Lewes pediatrician Dr. Earl Bradley."

It's extremely good to see the community outreach. I think the state is getting it right. I'm anxious to know when new info will be coming out. Has anyone seen anything new?

"There is a mini epidemic of pediatricians and child psychiatrists molesting children...."

I didn't recognize every one of those names. We can add Wayne Bleyle, the respiratory therapist in San Diego and Arthur Silverman, the counselor in my own town who was just extradited from Israel after fleeing before sentencing. He also disclosed his pedophilia to a psychiatrist but went on to see special needs and sexually abused young boys in his practice. He pleaded guilty to two rapes but undoubtedly claimed many other victims. Bleyle is the monster who made that unforgettable statement. When asked how many victims he had, he replied, "How many snowflakes are there out there?"

I know this is an outrageous idea and would never be approved because of our civil liberties protections. However, would it be such a horrible idea to have every person who works closely with vulnerable children undergo a penile plethysmograph exam or the female equivalent?

We sure give our astronauts a close going over concerning claustrophobia, balance issues, etc. We run all sorts of invasive background checks on FBI and CIA recruits. How precious are our children, our disabled, and our elders? I have a strong feeling that many prospective doctors, therapists, or teachers would have no trouble at all with these tests.

My husband and I have been certified to adopt or foster at least 15 times. I just asked him and we both agree that we'd be glad to go do the test. He thought all parents should take it before they're allowed to take their baby home. His only caveat was that it wouldn't be fair to show men photos of almost 18 year old naked girls who look 23. I appreciate his honesty but had to laugh.

So, how about it?

kbl--I can't defend what the father did as I wasn't there and don't know the context of the conversation. My guess is that he probably minimized her comments thinking that the doctor had done something "appropriate" that was uncomfortable.

I think we determined that this little one had a congenital issue with her labia. Any touching or treatment would be unpleasant for a two year old. My guess is that the father comforted her but never suspected the real truth.

I wrote about this in detail in reference to one of my very disabled children coming to me and telling me that her rapist had hurt her head. I chewed him out (thinking he'd played too roughly) and sent her back out to play. I found out later that her head was hurt as it was banged against a wood pile during a rape.

Trust me, the father is suffering horribly for his failure to fully understand what his baby girl tried to tell him. Often, it's not until two or more people compare notes, that something comes to light. I just thank God that this Dad called the Mom and they discussed the issue. Had they not, Dr. Bradley would still be at it. Lord, let's not go there.

I am guessing his behavior might have been escalating (from what I have read, there might be an addictive quality to pedophilia, and as such, the behavior might escalate). Especially if he thought he had gotten away with those acts previously.

Let's face it. We always trust doctors with our kids. I don't mean we trust what they say or prescribe all the time but who in the world would ever think a doctor would be this twisted and vile.

Yes, the warning signs of wanting to be alone with a child is a huge red flag but if the parents are young or uneducated or just plain trusted the doctor then you can see how easily a doctor could get away with this.

Death penalty for this creep. Sorry. We as a society need to be protected from him. The only way to insure that is the death penalty. IMO.

I think that's just wrong. Our laws are build on presumption of innocence, not the other way around. And in the link you provided, clearly it's nowhere near a 100 % accurate.

Notice, I never said it would work as it's too outrageous but we've got to come up with some checks and balances to stop the carnage. Any other ideas? We, as a society are not going to be able to absorb the pain of the vast numbers of abused children coming down the pike!! Does everyone realize that there are between 200,000-500,000 children in our foster care system who most likely will not be going home due to abuse or neglect. We can't adopt our way out of this mess. And these are just the children abused in their homes. This doesn't take into account those abused by doctors, teachers, coaches, neighbors. It's become a critical mass.

No kidding! my kids never go into an exam room alone!

Same here. Now that my son is 12, it's not cool for mom to be in the room - but dad goes. What's funny is his pediatrician is a lovely woman. Go figure, she's cool, I'm not.

And the treat box is at the nurses station as we exit the examining area.

I was really afraid that reports like this one would start coming out:

Earlier Bradley probe shut down

"Nearly five years ago, Milford detectives wanted to charge pediatrician Earl Bradley for inappropriately kissing a 3-year-old patient, but the Attorney General's Office decided "they could not win the case," Milford police said Tuesday.

Instead, it would take authorities until last month -- after a second abuse investigation about a year ago also didn't produce charges -- for the doctor to be arrested and charged with raping numerous patients."

Court Documents: Doctors knew about Dr. Bradley's alleged crimes for years

Thursday, 07 January 2010

New developing stories surrounding the case of Lewes Pediatrician Dr. Earl Bradley who is in jail for raping children: According to published reports, court documents show that doctors in this area and a nurse knew something was going on—saying he conducted long or inappropriate exams on young girls—one pediatrician indicated he referred to Dr. Bradley as a pedophile when talking to colleagues. One doctor told police that he saw Dr. Bradley carrying children around if they cried and watched him hold and kiss children on the cheek.

Sex abuse allegations piled up against pediatrician for years, investigators say
Mother of alleged Bradley victim calls system a 'disgrace'

....

The documents also contain police accounts of six unidentified witnesses who worked with him, including three doctors and a nurse. They described an eccentric pediatrician who conducted long or inappropriate vaginal exams on young girls, often took them alone to get "prizes" and installed video cameras in his offices.

One fellow pediatrician "indicated he referred to Dr. Bradley as a pedophile when talking to colleagues," state police Detective Thomas Elliott wrote in a probable-cause affidavit used to search Bradley's BayBees Pediatrics office near Lewes Dec. 16 -- the day of his arrest.

This 🤬🤬🤬 was harming the kids w/ the parents in the room w/ him! He was outta control!!

Dr Earl Bradley, expert at manipulation and deceit

<snipped>

BradleyÂ’s violent assaults on very young patients have led many to ask how parents could have allowed Bradley to be alone with their children.

But in some cases, he was not. One mother from Lewes, who says she reported BradleyÂ’s behavior to police before 2005, said the doctor digitally penetrated her daughter while the mother was in the room.

The mother said the child was lying on a table behind Bradley, and he turned his back to the mother as he examined the school-aged child. The mother stepped around Bradley to observe and was shocked at what she saw.

She immediately asked what he was doing. Showing no apparent concern, he replied it was his practice with new patients to “see if the hymen is intact.”

...

Turns tables on parent

Another parent’s story illustrates how Bradley was able to deflect parents’ suspicions. A mother told the Cape Gazette that she noticed her 18-month-old child “began doing things in the bathtub that were not normal.”

She found it disturbing enough that on one of frequent visits to BradleyÂ’s office for ear infections, she asked him about it. Bradley examined the childÂ’s genital area with the mother in the room.

Bradley then left the room, and when he came back told the mother he had contacted the ChildrenÂ’s Advocacy Center of Delaware and that he could not let the mother leave his office until she spoke with the center, because someone could be sexually harming her daughter.

The anxious mother tried to pick up her child, but she says Bradley very aggressively told her that nurses would watch the toddler while the mother was on the phone. She again tried to pick up her child, but Bradley insisted to the point that the mother says she was terrified he would call police to report her.

The mother was on the phone for an hour, separated from her child the entire time. The mother now bitterly recalls her tearful childÂ’s look of relief when the toddler was finally reunited with her mother.

The mother says her daughter was later interviewed at ChildrenÂ’s Advocacy Center, but the child became distraught during questioning and tried to get out of the room. Although the mother reports the child was clearly scared, she was unable to verbalize what had happened. The case was closed, leaving the childÂ’s fears unresolved and the mother in turmoil as to whether someone could be harming her child, yet even at this point she did not focus her fears on Bradley.

OMG I Hope this animal rots in h-e double hockey sticks.
if i was the mom i'd hunt him down
edit: im referring to the mom he tried to frame.
not the idiot who saw no problem with him checking to see if her daughter's 'hymen was intact'.
re-edit: why do i have the fear that if the police hadnt found the videos there still wouldnt be any charges against him? people have been reporting him for years and nothing was done.....other doctors at the hospital reffered to him as a 'pedophile" grrrrrrrrrrrr

U can bet he chose young inexperienced parents and maybe some that were a bit slow. If any Doc had asked to take my daughter anywhere alone he or she would not have been our Doc very long. When my daughter was little she was scared at the Doc and wouldn't let me out of her sight anyway. Why did the authorities wait and let countless children and families suffer this if they knew he was a perv. If this was my child or grandchild some heads would roll

Delaware crime: Earlier reports on Dr. Earl Bradley ignored

Attorney general orders investigation

By CRIS BARRISH • The News Journal • January 8, 2010

Attorney General Beau Biden ordered an investigation Thursday into whether any health or law enforcement professionals broke Delaware law after pediatrician Earl B. Bradley was investigated for excessive kissing of patients in 2005.

Bradley, who in December was charged with raping nine girls, ages 3 months to 13 years, was not charged with offensive touching in 2005 because prosecutors thought Milford police didn't have enough evidence.

Delaware law requires doctors, the Medical Society of Delaware trade association, health care providers, institutions and state agencies, including law enforcement, to report suspected misconduct to the state Board of Medical Practice. The report must be made in writing. Anyone who violates the law faces a fine of $250 to $5,000.
...

But the state Division of Professional Regulation, which oversees the medical board, never received a written or verbal complaint about Bradley about any investigation, division Director James L. Collins said.

"I have great concerns that there are potentially individuals or entities that in 2005 may have failed to fulfill their statutory obligation to report," Biden said. "That's why I asked the state solicitor to examine the details. We need to get to the bottom of this."

One of the parents is a teacher. Hopefully, since she is reponsible for educating our youth, she is NOT an inexperienced parent.

ITA Hippy Chick, except I don't know how "choosey" he was considering the wide range in the ages of his victims and he obviously had no problem displaying these disturbing behaviors in front of his colleagues and parents. IMO, he believed his status as "physician" made him omnipotent, regardless of the victim/parents experience.

I'm with you, what I can't understand is, how do so many people report so many incidents for so many years yet he's only arrested and charged now? WTH??? Shouldn't ONE complaint be enough? If not, at least the second should raise enough suspicion to have his license to practice suspended, no? A teacher made a complaint against him for inappropriately examining her daughter, A TEACHER! What is wrong with our judicial system that they don't AT LEAST act upon an educator's concerns? Aren't teachers required by law to report abuse against a child? This doesn't count if it's their own child? I mean, really!?! And another physician admitted that he referred to Bradley as a pedophile to others, did this physician also report their concerns to LE? Or did they just use their knowledge of this animal as fodder for social functions? What the hay is goin' on in Lewes?
