In a way it might be a turn on for him. This whole case just gives me the willies. How could anyone do that to a kid?!

Earl Bradley's PA license suspended
"Pennsylvania's Board of Medicine has indefinitely suspended the medical license of former Lewes pediatrician Earl Bradley.
Bradley, who is facing 471 counts including rape and exploitation of children, among other charges, has already had his license to practice in Delaware permanently revoked.
Bradley's Pennsylvania license has been inactive since Dec. 31, 2002, but could have been renewed at anytime by filing the appropriate documentation and paying required fees. The Pennsylvania Board of Medicine had investigated a complaint against Bradley in 1994, but no charges were filed....."

Last week's announcement that Delaware pediatrician Dr. Earl Bradley was charged with 471 separate counts of child molestation shocked the public. It seemed to throw even Delaware's Attorney General Beau Biden for a loop. He told reporters this might be the worst case of abuse the state had ever seen. So far, Biden's office has identified more than 100 victims from 13 hours of videotape Bradley allegedly shot -- victims ranging in age from 14 years down to 18 months. Eighteen-month-old babies.
Biden knows he's got to be careful not to say more than he can. But this father of two young children was pretty clear. "The reality is that as a prosecutor, the rules prohibit me from telling you exactly how I feel -- and I'm feeling a great deal today."
Almost two dozen prosecutors and other staffers are being tapped to track this case, as well as resources borrowed from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, working together in the seaside town of Lewes, as well as Wilmington, and a crime lab in Dover. Delaware State Police detectives are going door-to-door in Lewes, asking parents of Bradley's patients the painful questions that might determine whether their children are yet more victims to add to the long list.

we've been discussing this for months here, how the heck is anyone shocked, least of all people in the legal system? maybe at the amount of counts yes........but if we knew the investigation was going on, where these people on thee moon?

Not only who would ever dare challenge a doctor -- but WTH happens when ya do? A creepy doctor can/will make elaborate medical excuses for what he's doing -- and then if ya go to a state medical board or LE-- *then* what happens???? I think we're see either nothing or not nearly enough.
Something needs to change here so that parents *can* challenge a doctor -- and have authorities take them seriously.
TM--ITA, and remember there was one mom who did challenge him. He made her stay in the office while he called CPS on her...all because she reported to him that her young daughter had started touching herself in the bath. Imagine the horror that woman went through. She not only had to examine her memories of everyone who'd come into contact with her little one, including family members, all the while the doctor was the reason the girl was probably sexualized or had an irritation. Doubly hellish, if you ask me.

To my mind, this attitude is like telling the doctor, don't tell me if the test comes back showing cancer. I couldn't handle that.
When you sign on for parenting, you sign on for both the fun stuff and the tragic. Nobody wants to have a head-on but as a parent, your child is looking to you to make the world right again after the head-on.
My hope is that this Mom will get over her initial shock and do the right thing. I think her reaction is the same knee jerk many of us would have and I don't judge her. I've been in her shoes and it feels like you are being sucked into a black pit. She needs to consider the consequences of not knowing what her child knows.

I agree. Not facing her fears may only unconsiously tell her child it is best to keep abuse secret. If she confronts this, perhaps she will be lucky to find her child was not abused by this

Jeez Louise...if it's take this long just to get the monster arraigned, how long do we think it'll take to get him before a judge and/or jury?

Just wondering out loud here. We know that drug users go through terrible withdrawal symptoms when locked up and deprived of their chosen drug. You really wonder what a guy like Bradley does? He's been on such a bender of depravity for the last few years, I can't imagine how he even functions. Maybe his memories "serve him". Yuck!!
I also wonder if he'll be treated with some of the bipolar meds he was known to steal from the clinic. I've heard both stories--inmates being medicated successfully for the first time in their life and inmates deprived of all meds.
TM, I think he'd implode before he'd make it through 4-5 years.

BECAUSE it is always about the comfort and saftey of the prisoner I suggest the following care and treatment.
Maybe his medications will make him feel "cold" when he states that he is feeling chills
I say go ahead and give him some extra sheets.
If he says that he is feeling like he has cotton mouth.
I say go ahead and give him jaw breakers candies to ease his discomfort.
If he states that he is bored or lacks abilty to consentrate.
I say teach him how to make a knot in the extra sheets you gave him while he sucks on his jaw breaker.
If he is stating that he feels lonely and all alone.
I say lets all watch him so when he feels paranoid..
by the tightness of the sheets he made a loop in,
he may want to jump.
I say go ahead and support his decisions.
He may choose to jump..
