Why is it that there are people out there that can have children, only to abuse and murder them...then, you have men and women who desperately want a child to love, nurture, and protect..but can't conceive. I just don't get it!

Thank you for this. I got pregnant as a freshman in college, the father dumped me and married someone else, there was no way I could raise her well so I gave her up for adoption. The couple that adopted her were a mixed race couple and had been unsuccessful in adopting - but my doctor knew the family and arranged an introduction when I told him my plans. She's happily married with kids, a CEO for a law related firm and has great parents. I don't think it would have turned out as well had I tried to raise her on my own.

accessory after the fact. Was he the one who disposed of the body I wonder. It always astounds me when a parent takes the life of their own child. But when other adults who were part of that murder join in to assist it is just mind blowing to me every single time.

In an update Wednesday, Elena Russo, a MDSP spokesperson, said Randle, 31, and her boyfriend, Cedrick Antoine Britten, 44, both of North East, Maryland, were arrested and charged in connection to the investigation.

of course it was her boyfriend who was an accessory. SMDH

And Nola's daddy wanted her, had fought for custody. Fought to stop the move to Maryland, fought to get his visitation extended and honored. Just why? Was it about the child support? Because murdering your child and reporting her abducted doesn't help keep that money coming in.

Good for you for realizing you were in over your head and dealing with it responsibly. I was an unwanted kid and my childhood was....difficult. I'm middle aged now and even with decades of therapy and meds, my life has just not been great. If I'd had a stable, loving childhood I think I could have really done well in life. Thank you for giving your child a good life and setting her up for success and good self esteem.

I am curious about how long ago Nola died. Is this another instance where a child died some time ago but was only reported recently because mom was going to have to produce the child for a visitation? When was the last time Nola was seen by anyone other than the mother and her oh so helpful boyfriend?

Initial report said the father reported Nola abducted. Then later reports seemed to indicate the mother had done so. Was that a case of reporters thinking Darrian was a male name and therefore must have been Nola's father? Or was Britten the one who made that call to 911?

New article out locally in the Cecil Whig which I am unable to link and it is firewalled. She was found in a blue suitcase on Dune Drive, close to her boyfriends house. She was beaten with a belt 15 -20 times by her mother, until she was lifeless. Boyfriend attempted CPR to no avail. I'm waiting for the Philly or Baltimore news to pick up the story. ( we are midway between both cities)

She called boyfriend. They both drove around with body for a while. Took her home, put her in suitcase, left her sitting there at bottom of stairs overnight. Loaded suitcase into car and drove around, finally dumping her at the Perryville Community Park, in Perryville, Maryland, where she was ultimately found.

Thanks for finding that. There are a few differences in the articles, the Cecil Whig said he attempted CPR and she was found closer to home. Not sure which is right but we do know that a poor excuse for a mother beat her beautiful daughter to death by her own admission.

See the CBS News video in post #8. The reporter says that Nola was acting up during the drive, and the mom pulled over to the side of the road to calm her down. He says "they" got out of the car and a bald, white man approached "both of them" with gun. The video shows the street where the car was pulled over.

The following is a new video that just came out. The reporters in this one are also confused about whether the father was with them. They are trying to get clarification. They said that it was, for sure, the father who reported Nola missing. This new video shows areas where LE was searching.
