Didn't she get them from her mom?

What we know is that she made two withdrawals from the ATM. According to her in the affidavit she then bought drugs. We know that she went to her moms that night and that her mom has convictions for selling drugs ( she just finished a 1yr sentence). Strange thing is if Billie needed pain relief considering she worked in a hospital why not get it from there before she finished work? and why if her daughter had pain why not just give her one or two painkillers? why did she need money to buy some "drugs"?

ITA with everything but I'm referring to the antibiotics specifically. Why would her mom have those? I suppose she could have picked the antibiotics up at work if she had access. Did she complain at anytime about her teeth being sore while at work, I wonder. Sorry for the O/T and I'm not sure I believe that she got the drugs from her mom for the reason you described.

In April 2012, a badly decomposed body was found in Big Spring. Other than gender — male — the body has yet to be identified, said Big Spring Police Chief Lonnie Smith.

“It didn’t match any people that we had a record on,” Smith said.
There was speculation at the time that the body may have been that of Hailey Dunn, who was reported missing from her Colorado City home Dec. 28, 2010. She was 13 at the time.

The FBI also was called in on that case, Smith said, but left after determining the body was not that of the teenager.

Big Spring police attempted to analyze soil found on the body to determine where it may have come from, but had no luck.

Smith said the body may have come from a nearby cemetery or may even have been buried during the era when people buried their relatives on their own properties.

OT- I did not realize that LE thought the body from Big Spring, may have come from a nearby cemetery, or perhaps was a pioneer. Makes me feel a little better. But how would the body have relocated itself from a cemetery?

I would expect if any tests can EXCLUDE the bones as belonging to Hailey than the investigators would alert the parents and the media about this.

Here's something to think about.....More than likely the remains were sent to Dallas for testing. We have very few testing facilities that cover a HUGE portion of Texas. Dallas is over 3 hours away from Snyder. Also take into account the size of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and there has to be a HUGE backlog. Plus, Dallas is having to deal with the deaths of not one but 2 DA's very recently. As much as we would like, these bones are NOT priority right now.

BBM. Using this post as a spring board. Most of the country uses a lab in Texas for UID's. There are no arrests in Hailey's case, and cases awaiting trial will always take precedence over those which are not.

It would be really great, imo, if results were in prior to the end of the summer.

In Texas, you can still legally bury someone on rural property. There are restrictions and the Location must be filed with the deed. Before 1950, it wasn't uncommon for large ranches to have their own plots. Possibly the area by the airport was a ranch at one time. We have some mounds on our place that we suspect are old Indian graves. I'm not a superstitious person, but I'm sure not going to disturb them!

The only thing is if it was perhaps from the cemetery or a pioneer it would be skeletonized which makes it even worse some of the rumors being spread around last year about the remains that were found.

I don't usually watch the local news but I will tonight! I am pleasantly surprised to see them going after the story rather than waiting for the next press release.

He said he saw a skull with no lower jaw, a femur and a loose tooth. Per his experience remains had been there less than five years. That's about it. He wouldn't speculate who it was due to concern for the families

I think it makes perfect sense. Has Billie ever thanked the appropriate people, or rather just fought with them (searchers). In addition, the grammar is too good to have been written by her.

My thoughts exactly. A very self serving "thank you" if ya ask me.JMO.

Basically what they are saying is that the remains don't match any of the people they know to be missing and have adequate records available to match against (dental, DNA etc). That means they will have to do the identification in the old fashioned foot slogging way rather than through technology (at least until they find a potential candidate to match against).

So, it is probably a John/Jane Doe.

The linked article did not in any way, shape or form state what the above post attempts to infer. Jmo.

"I was just walking the lake bed or along the edge of the lake bed and noticed something that looked a little unusual as I walked over to it I recognized it to be human remains, specifically a skull... all of the upper skull was intact. There was, of course, no lower jaw," said Lloyd.

Lloyd said he was in the remote area hunting for fossils. When he stumbled upon the bones, he called the sheriff's office.

"I was just concerned. I wanted to get a hold of authorities as quick as possible get them out there and that way they could gather up what's there," Lloyd said.

Authorities have said they were unable to determine age or gender by what they saw at the crime scene. Lloyd said he couldn't tell much either.

"What they reported finding is all I saw, which was a skull, a femur and I believe a loose tooth," Lloyd said.

Lloyd said, according to his untrained eye, the remains looked like they had been there less than five years.
