Does anyone recall what was reported as the last clothing Hailey was wearing?

I know there was confusion about flip flops and sneakers.

But was she wearing street clothes or pj's?

At the time of her disappearance, Hailey Dunn was last seen wearing blue sweat pants, a short-sleeved shirt, and pink and white tennis shoes. Hailey has a scar on her face, and she was wearing her hair down.

The tennis shoes were later found in the home, not sure why the FBI flyer still says that? She was said to be wearing flip flops.

Shawn comes off very credible in recent interviews. He talks a lot about his lawyer's advice etc. and has seemed to be taking such.

I still have questions about sex offenders nearby. My biggest problem with this whole case is how unguarded/protected Hailey was by those closest to her. I am of the school of victims being the opportunity in their comings and goings. Meaning she could take off and those closest to her took for granted she would be safe. In the meantime-opportunists/predators were constantly watching.

I wonder what the demographics of S/O's in the area show now-who has moved-etc.

I don't see any evidence that leads me to believe that she took off that day. It seems counter intuitive to me. She would not go to a 'sleepover' without taking some of the things she left behind, imo. And she would not go and walk all of that way without receiving a reply from her friend whose house she was supposed to go to, imo. And it makes no sense to me that she would be home all day alone, on school vacation with a cell phone, and make NO CALLS and send ONLY ONE TEXT. Do you know any 13 yr old girls who stay home all vacation day with a cell, and only send ONE TEXT? JMO

That is one of the things I look forward to learning the truth about, that text message. We know quite a bit about Shawn's cell phone records, but nothing about Billie's phone records. It has been said the text originated from a CCity tower, but that did not come from LE, I think it was Billie who made that statement. The time it was sent was disclosed by MBG's Mom. All LE ever said, was that they took MBG's phone to investigate the message.

How do we know what her cell phone reveals? Is that public knowledge and established information? Mind you-I am playing devils advocate here........that's all. And what do you mean by a vacation day? Thanks.

As for me-I as a parent, would never trust any male in the house where my daughter would spend the night as a teenager. I am just that way. Color me prejudiced. Nor the path she walked to get there or the ride.
That's not an easy existence for me but that is how I live. I have a family member who benefits from my hysteria/paranoid state lol. Cause that person is well and accounted for.

Not sure if this will be helpful or not, but I fired up Google Earth and took a couple of screenshots. This is the lake near where the remains were found, in October of 2008 and then again in November of 2012. It shows water levels at those two points in time. Unfortunately I cannot find an overhead in google earth of 2010 to show water level then, but surely we can extrapolate given the drought, that the level would be about halfway in between the first and second levels? I am posting them as links because the actual pictures are quite large.

If I can expound on this for a minute....I found a S/O in my neighborhood who had moved in from out of state. 2 months later there was an attack on a 10 year old girl nearby. I called local Sheriff's office and they were not in knowledge of the perp. Less than 2 months later-much less ha ha-he was arrested and sent back to home state for violating terms of parole. His original sentence indicated he had aggravated sexual assault against a very young female and has a 30 year sentence.
Someone rented him a room.

Recidivism...........true and correct.

You young mothers out there-keep an eye out for your children and keep up with the news and the sex offender database.

I have always thought that something of value was found in that dump where the dogs hit. I really want to think that LE has been collecting evidence and taking their time building a case and hoping the remains would be discovered.

It was a 'vacation day' because school was out for Christmas Vacation. So all of her friends were out of school that day too. So it surprises me that she did not make any other calls or texts. And yes, the only phone activity that LE revealed was that one lone text to MB. Reportedly there were no other calls or texts. That sounds very hinky to me for a 13 yr old to only make one lone, unanswered text.

I understand completely. My 20 yr old DD recently thanked me for my overprotectiveness. Which is funny because she hated me for it when she was a teen.

I understand what you are saying about the potential harm that might have come if Hailey was walking alone to MB's or sleeping at her home that night. But I think that the real harmful influence was invited into the home by her mother. JMO

Source close to the investigation say the human remains found in Scurry County on March 16th have been identified as missing Colorado City teenager Hailey Dunn.

My Heart just ACHES but when I realized that this revelation occurred during National Crime Victims Rights Week...it gives me hope if I want to take that as a Sign from Above that Something Magical is yet to come...and I do.

Shawn comes off to me as a very violent person who is into violence. Maybe he was like that towards Billie. I did forget about her failing the Poly but didn't she take an ativan beforehand or something which you are not supposed to do before taking one?

There are YouTube videos that show Shawn is into violence and horror movies so I believe he's into it. JMO
