It's almost 1:30. The storms so far have missed my town and looks like they are heading north of momma and babies too. Tomorrow is supposed to be the really icky day!
Prayers for all the people in western Iowa, I hope they wake up tomorrow with a sense of hope that things will be ok.

Thanks for the update peeples. I have been worried about you. Glad to hear your town was missed so far. Hoping tonight and tomorrow is okay and our eagles and Iowa friends are safe!

I watched a feeding and Mom has them tucked under, for now, I keep having to remind myself, this couple are not new to this, and the nest has survived for years through different storms. It is so hard not seeing them be able to have a place that keeps them dry. I hope the day is kind to the folks in the area, human, furry, and feathered.

Good morning fellow eaglette junkies! Thank you for the posting during the night - was thankful to see that all have made it through the storms last night.

Good morning from Canada! First thing I did (after making coffee and feeding the critters) was to log onto the eagle cam to check the family! Mom (I assume) just moved off the eaglets and is stretching her legs. The babies seem fine, albeit a bit sleepy. Our prayers were answered as they have weathered the storm!

Feeding time-- all three are up and moving. Mom (I believe) is facing the camera with the little ones in front so we have quite a good view. One eaglet is quite a bit larger than the others, so I assume that is Sassy, the first born. Sassy is stealing one of the other eaglet's food -- what a pig! Looks like Sassy just projectile-pooped or peed (something shot out of its butt!) Mom is feeding eaglet #2 an eaglet #3 is waiting for its turn! So cute!

Phew, finally she's trying to feed baby. I was anxious there for a bit but I shouldn't have doubted mama.

It's 8:56 am central time and mom(?) is doing some housekeeping while the eaglets are sleeping/resting in the center of the nest. It looks like the weather is okay -- maybe its clearing up where they are. I must sign off for the day... happy eagle watching to all!

Looks like it's a bit windy in the nest but not bad yet. If it gets bad I don't know if I can watch. I am such a wuss.

Just trying to get the house clean and trying to get the kids to pick up their rooms... it's sweltering out today 83 right now.. but i refuse to turn on the air conditioning in April LOL

Weather channel said they predict the storms to hit upper NE Iowa (away from me, but up by eagle family) , SE Minnesota and SW wisconsin.. kind of right where all 3 states come together.

There is other storms going across the US like in middle and northern MN i think the little eagle family is safe from those though....
