They were searching for any prior domestic/child abuse in the family while the Anthonys lived in Ohio. Looks like they found none.

Strange that they put that they don't know the town the A's lived in in Ohio. They can't ask them? Why investigate KC in Ohio? She wasn't a mom there. Lame!

This is old - it's a routine investigation back when the neglect charges were implemented. *Happens to anyone with a neglect charge.*

It's also a good idea to check dates. This was under the heading Documents Released Nov. 6, 2008. Then you can search the forum. You would find it.

To the PP it didn't say Ohio doesn't know who the A's are. It says no record of abuse etc. in the central database. Also title change this palease..I about hurt my hand clicking my mouse to open this thread LOL.

TANF benefits are paid to those who do relative care.....grandparents/brothers/sisters/aunts/uncles/cousins/or close family friends who could be considered family. Looks like Cindy & George were being investigated in Ohio because there were plans for them to take custody of Caylee. TANF would cover medical care and a small stipend for eligible child.

Was just reading thru some of the threads and can provide some info from here in Florida. Not sure what State you are in. Each State's rules in reference to Benefits can e from very little to huge.

TANF (temporary assistance needy families) is cash assistance (single Mom or Dad with 1 child receives cash benefit of $241 pm, 2 kids is $303, and 3 kids is $364, food stamps and medicaid and separate from that. There is a different Program for Relative Caregivers (Grandma Grandpa, Auntie Sister Uncle). The cash assistance for the Relative Caregiver program is totally different and the cash benefit is on a case by case basis. All of that here in Florida is privatized. With the backlog as it is right now, my guess is that KC filed online before July 13, 14 15 08 prior to her arrest (my guess is she was running out of money, the boys and the rest were all coming back and what better - lets fraud the Government and get some food stamps and maybe some cash.) It can take a week to 10 days before the Department even gets to the case and the paperwork that shows 2 in her household is filled out from the online application. If approved then the applicant is sent a letter with a date to call for the interview. And, I love this, she would have had to cooperate with Child Support (name Daddy :waitasec before she would be approved. If she wouldn't name Daddy, then she would be sanctioned. Well - actually - with all of the publicity here in Orlando, she would not have gotten away with saying No Daddy. When DCF was contacted with a "missing child report) an investigation was in process it was determined that the A's were from Ohio, therefore the, caseworker contacted their counterparts in Ohio. That is a "safety" net and a check to make sure there were issues known in the State that they originally were from. That's standard here. Hopefully that sheds some light on why the paperwork shows 7/17/08 and yes she was in jail, wasn't bonded out until July 22 I believe.

Yes, they will as routine - and they have lived out of state (like most of us) just to check to see if there is any background information. I hope the info provided helps.

I think 17 is actually a messy 12 (i.e., 7/12) so she filed just 3 days before this all broke.

7-17 is the date LE notified childrens services.

That paperwork went hand-in-hand with the In Home Safety Assessment forms/and interview filed by DCF. William Procknow filled those out IIRC. I believe it was in the last doc dump
