Details Emerge: Casey/Cindy Fight - Part 1

This is what I've thought all along. And I, too, feel sorry for Cindy.

I felt sorry for Cindy... up until the time she started taking back her original statements about the car odor and making excuses for that "person" she calls her daughter. The horrible way she's treated the people trying to help is just the icing on the cake.

Ding Ding Ding! That's why I also think they rehearsed their statements. The Family (in my opinion) did not want LE knowing about the stealing, the fight, the kicking out, etc. Covering...

"I gave you 31 days." [The comment Cindy made to Casey on the 15th of July when she did not realize they were being recorded.]

I have thought this since the first week of this case, myself. Too many of them had the same date. If LE hadn't found the date on that tape and confronted them with it they would not have mentioned father's day. I believe that the fight they had that day got totally out of hand. So bad that neighbors heard it. They didn't want to bring up that day and they didn't want Cindy's dad interviewed at the assisted living facility. Remember what was said in the very first bond hearing. YM, the detective, stated that Cindy told him she would quit cooperating if he questioned her father. :waitasec:

She did not even graduate from high school . . . what kind of career could she have had: "Do you want fries with that?"

I didn't graduate from high school either. I left high school in my Junior year at the age of 16, to go to work to keep a roof over my head and my brother's as my mother tried to commit suicide.

I managed to get a great job, and my last poisition in life, I was the Executive Assistant to the President of a Chemical Company and then was Human Resource Manager later on within the company.

I got my FULL high school diploma when I was 45 and I will be 61. Just because someone doesn't have a high school diploma doesn't mean they can't go out and get a good job and earn good wages.

This part of the article really disgusts me for some reason:
"As soon as the brother and sister got through the path between reporters, they high-fived each other as if they were celebrating some sort of victory."

High fiving? Casey needs to go the F' up! She should not ever smile, be happy or "high-five" as long as her daughter is "missing". She should be miserable and sad. She doesn't even care one ounce about Caylee.

:clap::clap::clap::clap:
Here Here!!!!

I am so disappointed in Lee! I honestly didn't believe he was like the rest of the family but obviously he is!

Caylee didn't stand a chance in this family....

I agree with this. But Casey seems to me to be content to do nothing. I think she may have been in a PP depression. I would love to know if she was taking anti-depressants.

Casey might well be in PP depression, and hopefully the system has checked it out to see her mental status.

IMO, Basically, Casey was spoiled all her growing up years, and once Caylee came along, the attention went to Caylee. This was very difficult for Casey to handle.

I know most won't agree with me, but I feel so sorry for Cindy. She tried to do the right thing in attempting to throw Casey out and keep Caylee. I'm sure she feels quite a bit of guilt - if she hadn't confronted Casey none of this would have happened. I wonder if that's why she refuses to believe Casey harmed Caylee. If she accepts the truth, she has to accept that her actions (although they were right) started the whole string of events that led to Caylee's disappearance and likely her death.

I do, too. I think Cindy feels very guilty for putting the events in motion that led to Caylee's death and that explains her denial and behavior. I just hate Casey sooooooo much for ruining so many lives. She was jealous of her own little baby. Poor little Caylee. She would have been so happy to have Cindy & George raise her--but Casey couldn't make one sacrifice for her own child. She used her to punish her mother. I hope she enjoys her life in prison. Too bad that it probably won't faze her much--she has no soul.

That is a really good point and does explain a lot about why mentally Cindy can't go there.

PPD doesn't last 3 years. You are only considered post partum for a short period of time. And getting dressed up to go party all night is the opposite of depressed behavior. I've had major depression all my life, been on meds for 18 years--no way is Casey depressed at all.

That's why I said, hopefully she was checked out for this during her mental evaluation. Back in my day it was called the "baby blues". :)

I think Cindy feels a great amount of responsibility and cannot deal with it.
Also makes it even creepier that Casey was telling people she was going to have the house and was researching chloroform online.

I agree. I've heard the same type story many times. But times have changed. Yo use to be able to work your way up and the experience one learned doing so, was considered a good thing. Now days, if you and someone with College apply for the same job.. and YOU get the job.. the company might get sued by the person with college. His/her papers would be considered 'more qualifed."

I gota a friend that worked up the ladder like you did. Had a excellent job, with good pay. But long hours. The family decided she should 'cut back.' So she took a less prestigus job, salary, nicer hours. Things turned bad for the family an she can NOT get the same type job. Not without college papers.

So yes, you can work your way up. But if you didn't get an education on the way up, then if that job ends... That is just the way it is these days.

This has always bothered me about this case...

Caylee was at the age where she was able to talk remedially about what she did during the day, what she ate, who she played with, etc. Maybe she was starting to mutter the activities of the day to CA and GA and they figured out ZG did not exist or was questioning Casey's activities. Where was Casey going and what was she doing with Caylee??

Yep! Not to mention notallowing her to put the baby up for adoption in the first place!

That is what burns me, that Casey didn't even want the baby and wanted to give it up, but NOooooo, Cindy made her keep the baby. Caylee could have had a much better life and she would still be alive.

I would think that Casey's grandmother would have to file charges. I don't even know if the Casey's grandmother was even inteviewed by LE. I don't recall seeing anything in the documents.

Would that be because those were discovery in the Neglect/Obstruction/Filing a False Report charges only? Maybe they did interview her but they are in the second set of charges, the fraud, etc.

Cindy has no right to keep Caylee.

I understand where your coming from, but in order for Cindy to gain custody, Cindy would have to go through the court system to prove Casey to be an unfit mother. Cindy just can't kick out Casey without Caylee going with her.

If Cindy tried to keep Caylee, all Casey had to do was call the police and Caylee would have been turned over to Casey anyway.

I feel there was an argument in the home on June 8 or 9th FIRST and Casey left with Caylee. Remember Cindy said: "Casey left with Caylee on June 8 or 9th to bond with Caylee." I always found that such a odd statement considering Caylee was already 2 1/2 years old.

I feel there was another argument on June 15th about the money from Casey's grandparents.

IMO, If anything, Cindy should have done something regarding Casey actions long before Caylee was even born.

I think Cindy was prepared to start fighting for Caylee. Actually, she would have a legal basis for filing for custody--Casey had no income.

It seems that Cindy went to counseling a little late, but better late then never. I don't know ANY counselor, or psychologist, that would tell her that how she is handling this situation NOW is the correct way to handle it.

It is so interesting to me that Casey has never had a job, or wanted a career. I would wonder why she was content to do nothing with her life??
too bad Cynthia didn't get counseling for the POI YEARS ago! Her lying issues are not new... perhaps the POI was beyond help...as most sociopaths or other untreatable personality disorders but geez.....she has been covering this kind of behavior for years if we are to believe her "best friend" in the 400 page document.

Will Casey be held accountable for stealing $$ from her Grandfather's account ?

He is in his 80's and in a nursing home. She should be held accountable, and her Mother needs to press the charges. Don't protect !

IIRC, Cindy replaced the missing money from grandfather's account. So, probably no charges for that theft.
