That is what burns me, that Casey didn't even want the baby and wanted to give it up, but NOooooo, Cindy made her keep the baby. Caylee could have had a much better life and she would still be alive.

Casey was 19 when she had Caylee...Cindy did not "make" her have the baby...Casey was of age and obviously is quite resourceful when she needs to be!

Casey just needed to blame someone. But then Casey saw Caylee could be just the opportunity she had been looking for. She is a lazy, greedy woman who has a sense of entitlement.

She had Caylee and she would always be her "get out of jail free" card with her parents. With Caylee, she would always have a roof over her head, regardless of her bad behavior, would always have money, would always have an excuse to be a lifelong mooch.

Caylee was nothing more than a photo op and a guarantee that she would always have what she wants without having to work for it. But then Casey found out being a parent is hard and her footloose ways needed to stop...this was not part of her master plan...

OT- As a loyal OSU Buckeye fan it makes me ill to see Lee wearing a Buckeye hat. The pictures of Casey in OSU garb makes me want to throw up. What's wrong with the Gators? UF...take this family please? Buckeye fans don't want to be associated with them.

Neither does Florida, thankyouverymuch!

I think Cindy was prepared to start fighting for Caylee. Actually, she would have a legal basis for filing for custody--Casey had no income.
and....she had an afadavit from her bank account....! Which she stated in the first 911 call when she wanted her arrested for car theft and theft of money. Why did she have an afadavit that day........what you said makes sense....she was getting all prepared to take her to court over custody of Caylee.

Even if Casey told Amy she didn't want the baby, why believe it's the one time in her life that she told the truth??

She was always changing her story to meet her needs at the time, probably said this to make her friend sorry for her.

I don't really think we can believe ANYTHING that comes out of her mouth.

I didn't graduate from high school either. I left high school in my Junior year at the age of 16, to go to work to keep a roof over my head and my brother's as my mother tried to commit suicide.

I managed to get a great job, and my last poisition in life, I was the Executive Assistant to the President of a Chemical Company and then was Human Resource Manager later on within the company.

I got my FULL high school diploma when I was 45 and I will be 61. Just because someone doesn't have a high school diploma doesn't mean they can't go out and get a good job and earn good wages.

And just because someone has a college degree doesn't mean they are intelligent. Some of the brightest people I ever met had little education and some of the stupidest were well educated.

I have not noticed the OSU items on either, but you are 100% correct. We in Buckeye Country do not want our precious scarlet and gray on people that treat people the way this family has. I am more than disappointed in Lee for the high five after getting through the crowd. We expect this kind of behavior out of KC, this seems like a game to her, but it is scary to see the Uncle of a missing little girl stoop to this low.
There is absolutely NOTHING to smile or laugh or high five about as long as there is a missing child. JMHO

Go Bucks
:woohoo:

Isn't this exactly what Rick, Cindy's brother, stated over a month ago?

I have not seen Uncle Rick at all...... Anyone have a picture, or article????

If Casey told Cindy she didn't want the baby I'm sure Cindy would have offered to adopt her.

I'm sure she told that story to Kio Marie (not Amy, IIRC) to get sympathy, same as she told the "I won't give my baby up" story to her other friend (Ryan?) to make herself look noble. Any lie works, so long as she's the victim or the hero.

The posters who feel sorry for CinA, WHY? I don't get it.
Since the very first time I saw this woman on tv it seemed fishy.
What's the deal here?
"it smells like a dead body in the damn car."
it smells like old pizza and maggots because it was in the heat for a while
She "is a nurse of decomposition"
She herself told her daughter's friend her daughter was a "sociopath and a liar."
Add thief
"Being a liar doesnt make you a murderer"
She washed pants that "smelled like the car."
She hadn't seen or talked to her daughter for a month--she talked to her or texted her every day
She enjoys the spotlight far too much and continues making ridiculous statements.
She never met or spoke to a "nanny" her daughter had for a year and a half. Why, because there wasn't one.
She says "LE is not doing their job."
She demands an apology from the Sheriff.
She would not cooperate with TM and EquuSearch
Their spokesman is a ninny
She called the caring public and media, "maggots, leeches and parasites."
She is perpetuating the nonsense.
Her granddaughter has been missing for almost 3 months and she thinks everyone else should get off their keesters and find her!

I agree. I've heard the same type story many times. But times have changed. Yo use to be able to work your way up and the experience one learned doing so, was considered a good thing. Now days, if you and someone with College apply for the same job.. and YOU get the job.. the company might get sued by the person with college. His/her papers would be considered 'more qualifed."

I gota a friend that worked up the ladder like you did. Had a excellent job, with good pay. But long hours. The family decided she should 'cut back.' So she took a less prestigus job, salary, nicer hours. Things turned bad for the family an she can NOT get the same type job. Not without college papers.

So yes, you can work your way up. But if you didn't get an education on the way up, then if that job ends... That is just the way it is these days.

Totally agree! I employ hundreds of ppl (headhunter) and if you don't have a college degree, technical degree, or something comparable, your resume doesn't get to my desk.

We need to remember there were reasons that it was suggested Cindy throw Casey out of her home. I can completely understand how Cindy might feel responsible but we cannot say that what happened wasn't inevitable. Caylee was at the age that it would have been impossible for Casey to continue her charade of having a job and any host of other lies she routinely told to her family and friends. Something was going to have to give. Again, we will never know for sure what might have been different but we also cannot say Cindy's tough love is what lead to Caylee's death.

I don't see how Casey, at any age, kept up the charade of having a job for two years.

But, I agree with the poster who said Casey's goal was catching a man. I think Casey believed when she found her "prince" he'd fix everything. Kind of like her parents had been doing for years.

And people still wonder why Casey is the way she is! She had a great role model.

Absolutely agree! The only two people responsible for Caylee are her mother and her father. Casey choose on her own to have the baby..at 19 years old no matter what Cindy said she could have given it up for adoption. Casey choose to not have the father involved, even if he said he wanted no invovlment she could have gone after him for child support and won. Casey made all these decisions on her own..influenced yes..but in the end they were her decisions.

People do not keep at a behavior that doesn't reward them in some way. By not giving up the child, she knew she would have her families support.
But I think her flandering ways got the best of the situation and Cindy gave her the grow up speech..Caylee needs you..and all hell broke loose. Jessie was out of the picture as the finance father, new boyfriends were involved in their own life and new girlfriends had their own careers. Casey was left with a 2.5 year old she hardly knew, no job, no real friends and no real man in her life. She had to start over and the first part of the start was to get rid of Caylee. Sorry folks that is how I feel. She had never bonded, never been the mommie and wasn't about to start that routine now.

We were talking about careers, not intelligence. It is difficult to have a "career" (not a job, not $$$) without experience or higher education.

Oh, btw, I agree, some of the stoopidest people I know have PhDs.

This kills me...that poor baby deserved more.

And just because someone has a college degree doesn't mean they are intelligent. Some of the brightest people I ever met had little education and some of the stupidest were well educated.

I was advanced placement in school and managed decently through college, but let me share something with you. The "Advanced" kids/adults may understand and can explain energy equals mass times the speed of light squared, and how likely dark matter is to exist, but basic things like doing laundry, tying shoes(I really knew someone who wore velcro shoes because he hated to tie them), buying the right milk, cooking, nuking something, making popcorn, or remembering to zip their pants, escapes them. I will admit that if I was juggling a few things in my mind, before I was disabled, I had on occasion walked into the wrong bathroom.
There are three types of learning, book, logic(math, science, speed of answering a question, clarity in seeing a common bond), and common sense. All of these are important, but if you ask me, common sense always wins. What good is knowing how the universe works, if you can't understand why someone would help their neighbor, or even how to take care of the basic care of yourself. Learning life and surviving it through hard situations, is better than any other education.

This has always bothered me about this case...

Caylee was at the age where she was able to talk remedially about what she did during the day, what she ate, who she played with, etc. Maybe she was starting to mutter the activities of the day to CA and GA and they figured out ZG did not exist or was questioning Casey's activities. Where was Casey going and what was she doing with Caylee??

I go back to Caylee's video and listen to it over and over again. I personally feel her vocabulary was very limited.

If you stop and think about it killing Caylee was the ultimate revenge on Cindy in Casey's mind.
In the one phone call she says "All they care about is Caylee" When they had this argument IF Cindy threatened to take Caylee away, in Casey's mind it would have been "You will take care of Caylee but you won't take care of me"
She saw Caylee more like a little sister then her own child. She has some deep seated dislike of her mother and Caylee was the pawn in the game.
IMHO.
The truth of the matter is that regardless of her facade Casey is a very weak person with low self esteem that has been so "beaten" down that she finds it impossible to get the strength to take care of herself. She is always being "rescued". Someone mentioned she was looking for a man to rescue her also and I agree.
MOO
