Did Casey want Caylee to be found fast?

If she was trying to get LE and her parents to buy the kidnapping story, trying to get Lee to look locally, where they used to go, and if she had just bought a $15,000 life insurance policy on KLee, then, yes, she wanted her found fast. That's why she hung around for a month after she murdered Klee. "They haven't even found her clothes yet." KC

How did I miss a life insurance policy...and if that is true, they why is anyone even wondering what the motive might be?

I think at first she did. This was premeditated murder.

It took her a few months to figure it out, and I believe she killed Caylee when Cindy pushed her to the brink. Casey knew she would do this at some point.

Casey did an internet search for missing children in March. She wanted to know how to behave when Caylee went missing. (she sure goofed that up :bang

She searched for chloroform on the internet and how to make it in March, also.

She got Zanny's name from the apt complex in April.

I believe she put a chloroform cloth on Caylee's mouth to put her asleep, and then put the duct tape over her mouth, while she was still alive to seem like it was a kidnapping.

Casey then tossed Caylee in the brush near her house. Casey wanted to be able to watch the area, along with being able to say that "she was close".

I think Casey wanted her to be found soon so she could support the kidnapping story, say that the nanny did it and get on with her life. The apt was empty, so she could say that Zanny fled with the child.

She never thought it through. Cindy enabled her for her whole life, and Casey was never accountable to anyone. She assumed everyone would believe her and she could get away with anything.

Most murdering mother's place the body within one mile of the home. This is not an indication that they desire for the body to be found or discovered, it is likely several factors:
Wanting to still feel that the child is "close"
Wanting to be rid of the body as quickly as possible
Wanting to hide the body in a location that is known and familiar

Most mother's who kill their children ALSO wrap them in some form or fashion and bury them or dispose of them in a womb-like fashion, MANY in water. Caylee was wrapped in a sheet or towel or blanket and then wrapped in a bag and taped/sealed inside...just like the womb. Why these sick people who already killed their child feel the need to return them to the "womb" state is beyond me...maybe a projection of the fact that they wish the child had never been born?

I've read this too. Also, many killers may plan a killing, but not so often the disposal of the body. So they often dispose of the body close to the place of death.

IMO, the mothers wrapping their child's body in a womb like fashion may be a way to protect them in death, as they failed to protect them in life, ironically, at their own hands. It may be their twisted way of saying sorry. I would be interested to see why shrinks have to say about the subject.

good observation. that comment was always troubling. so, perhaps she wanted Caylee to be found because she was 100% sure she had staged it to look like a kidnapping.

I didn't vote (so can I post here???) because this is pretty much what I am beginning to think and I have puzzled over and posted about this statement by kc.........."If they NEVER find her guess who gets to spend Eternity in jail." (repeat) from when I first read it...in fact, it has been one of the "nagginist" mind itches for me.
Maybe we should have a thread on what she meant by this.

If Casey wanted Caylee found she could have made a deal.

If the body doesn't show a traumatic cause of death she could have claimed an accident and received less time. That would have been the BEST posssible outcome for Casey considering what she did. It is the LEAST we know she did.

She didn't. IMO, everything about Caylee's body is going to make Casey's situation worse.

The DP was OFF the table. It might be back on now. No way did Casey want Caylee found.

I read LA's interview with police and he said that while CA and KC were arguing before the 911 call, KC said (paraphrasing) that "she should have called sooner"(meaning Cindy) I think that many may think that relates to the theft, etc, but in my mind, she may have felt like CA should have figured out much sooner Caylee was not around, and the whole thing should have been figured out earlier. The "shes close, I can feel it" stuff is just sickening to hear and watch...

If KC wanted the body found she would have come up with a better story... such as spending the day at Jay Blanchard Park and Caylee wandering away or KC getting something from the car and Caylee being gone when she returned. KC is not very smart otherwise she wouldn't have tried the ridiculous working/nanny alibi. Anyone with a brain cell would expect LE to check that information.

I think the body was moved, by KC, and the purpose of moving it was to hide it better (in her mind). I don't think she ever wanted it found. It's possible that the only places the body ever was were in her car's trunk and where it was found. However, I think she may have buried it somewhere temporarily using the borrowed shovel and later moved it.

There is NO CHANCE of the story flying with anybody. The only reason I can come up with for Casey saying it is because something about the condition of Caylee's body will show violence and trauma Casey can't admit to,ever.

Somebody else had to be blamed and Zanny was the best she could do on the spur of the moment.

Well, here is another one of my random, rambling thoughts---My daughter, spent the night with her Grandma EVERY Friday night from the time she was 3 weeks old.(mother in law) She is the only Grandchild, and boy is she loved and spoiled over there. (teenager now) but when I would pick her up, as she became 2-3 years old, she would sometimes say"I want my Nanny" especially if her Dad and I were loudly discussing something at home LOL, anyway, I am thinking that little Caylee probably said something to KC probably repeatedly about wanting her Nanny, and KC flew in to a fit of rage, and did something to this baby. I know it used to irritate the crap out of me at first to hear my child asking for Grandma, but now I realize she has the best Grandma in the world and I am so thankful. I can just see this happening....JMO

She is feeding her family hope hooks and maliciously taunting them. It is cruel. But, it also endangers Casey more. It puts her closer to the edge.

That is why sociopaths steal. They need the excitement to feel. They don't steal just from need. They NEED the rush. It is hard to get rushes when you are in jail and isolated.

I don't think so. IMO, if Cindy had given Casey one more day she would have made a run for it.

Casey had given NO thought to ANY story to anyone except for telling Cindy enough to keep her off her back. Her "Zanny did it while I was at work" has to be the worst alibi in the history of crime.

Caylee was gagged to keep her quiet so Casey could chloroform her before she "broke her neck" or hit her on the back of the head. (That is why Casey couldn't make a deal with the state. Finding Caylee would make things worse.)

The kidnapping story was winged at the last minute just like disposing of Caylee. She came up with it when she was trapped and couldn't get away.

Caylee was left on where Casey regularly went. It was convenient. Casey had to drive by there anyway.

Her "hints" to her family are because she can't stop talking. All her boyfriends said she talked a LOT. Cindy said she had learned there are seeds of truth in Casey's lies so the story telling with "hints" was part of Casey's lying MO before Caylee's death too.

Casey didn't want to get caught. Her MO is to scatter truth in her lies to live further on the edge. Sociopaths don't steal as much from need as from needing the excitement to feel alive.

Their relationships don't give them that.

Not only was the kidnapping story winged but didn't CA give KC that out? Did she say something to the fact... "Who took her?" when questioning KC. Don't ask me for a link... I'm just going from memory and I recall Lee made that statement in his interview.

Finding Caylee with possible carpet lint or cat hair from the Anthony home on the inside of the duct tape on Caylee's mouth is like making a public announcement that Caylee's death happened in the Anthony house.

It is direct, physical evidence Caylee WASN'T kidnapped and killed elsewhere.

Blaming Zanny, who doesn't exist, for taking Caylee while you are at a nonexistant job is like hanging a HUGE sign over your head saying this is a LIE.

ITA!! There is no way she wanted it found!! And she could not claim it as an accident because the body would have/ will show otherwise, no way someone would risk going to prison/being put to death because of an accident coverup, least of all Casey!!

I voted no....but several scenarios come to mind.

she didn't report her missing and wouldn't have if Cindy hadn't intercepted her at ToneE's. Casey concocted several elaborate stories regarding her parents selling her the house. In the back of her mind she may have premeditated putting them right next to her daughter. Of course Cindy would have more fight in her than a 2 year old but after some drugs who knows?

Was Casey going to run away to california to be a high-priced escort (a la Ashely Dupree)? or was she going to have a fantasy life with TonE and give birth to many sons (she's writing a married name here all versions)...she was way into him, but knew she had to get going sooner or later because Cindy just wouldn't leave her alone, so she was plotting to visit MH in california and reveal a big secret...that she was probably still developing in her little brain.

Cindy caught her off guard and she had to do some fancy back-pedalling. If Cindy had given her "one more day"...Casey would have left immediately...but HOW? she had no car and no cash? ( a plea to MH for airfare)?

I voted no. Little Miss KC wanted to be long gone before the body was found. If she had been given another week or two, she would have found some way to leave the state.
