KC premeditated this murder and intended to flee out of state. The body was swiftly and clumsily hidden, but she made no real effort to stage a kidnapping. There are endless number of things she could have done to make it look like a kidnapping, starting with putting the body in a more remote area and using items not from the home. She could have made more of an effort to search or call the police. The tiniest effort could have gotten her a better defense--but there is nothing to give support to her story.

She destroyed her child and intended to start a new life, but plan fell apart, starting with the car holding the odor. She had to ditch it, but it didn't disappear. She is described by her brother as someone who kept her belongings in disarray. She doesn't look back, she leaves things a mess behind her and moves on swiftly.

If have no doubt if she was let out of jail today, she'd have no remorse and get back into the nightclub scene as fast as her legs could go.

:chicken:

I voted other. I don't think she even gave it much of a thought. Seems like she lives one day to the next never thinking about tomorrow. Oh just make up something on the spot and move on to the next thing. If she wanted to have moved the body to a better location she had plenty of time. Sadly, she just didn't care.

I think she got to the woods by jumping the fence...that wooded aread leads back to suburban street. the rains then "unearthed" Caylee and dragged up to the suburban site they are digging in.

Wasn't the fence put up after Caylee went missing? I was under the impression the fence had only been up a couple of months or are you talking about another fence?

Not sure about the fences either but have been thinking that the rain and collecting water further away then receding waters moved the bag to the discovery location and then "uncovered" it. If what I wrote made any sense I think I am agreeing with Manatee here?? Did I get your "drift", M?

yes, I'm talking about their backyard fence...if you look at it on google maps their property backs up to the same woods on the suburban side...there is also a "lake" more like a pond in the back of their home behind the fence. :waitasec:

OK - so my question is WHEN did she actually kill her? If she did it in the Anthony home, when (I know we have the dates narrowed down, but like what time? And more importantly...where were George and Cindy?

i'm thinking the 15th in the evening...then left her in the Anthony's backyard for a couple of days ,or had her in her car for a couple of days and just layed her downi n the backyard until she could figure out what to do. borrowed the shovel. threw it over the fence. threw Caylee over the fence. jumped over. walked in between the corridor of the two fences between the homes...dumped caylee either in a shallow grave or in the "lake" right there behind her house...the rains and floods moved Caylee's body to where it was found. she either then threw the shovel back over the fence of her house and walked herself around the front of her house.

I don't want this to turn into a debate of a different sort, or HJ the thread for that matter......but..... It's widely regarded as fact, in the scientific community anyway, that a fetus' CNS isn't nearly developed enough to experience 'pain' until around the 30th week of gestation.

As far as the poll goes, I voted "other", there are compelling arguments on both sides in terms of Casey's intent on the discovery of the child's corpse.
I can second that.

Wow I'm surprised I thought it was closer to 10-14 weeks. Once the spinal cord is complete they must feel some pain. But I always assumed it was less than adult even at term in order to survive the whole process of birth. Interesting read, thanks for sharing. Not sure how it ties in here but you learn the must fascinating things reading here!!

OT- The spinal cord is like the main wire, you need to lay the wiring throughout the house and hook it up to the main wire to get power or lights. Babies are born with the neural pathways they need to survive and those are refined and more are grown in the first ~2 years. Most brain development happens after birth actually.

I think Caylee was killed in the Anthony home.

I think Casey made a habit of pretending to go to work and going back to the house to hang out while her parents were gone.

I am guessing she left with Caylee as George said. Then she came back to the house and killed her daughter so she could hurry on to her date with Tony later that night. She had had an overnighter with Tony recently and he was probably pressing for more of the same.

But, Tony didn't want Caylee overnight, too.

Just like Scott P. couldn't get a divorce and face disapproval for leaving his pregnant wife, Casey couldn't let Cindy be right about her not being a good mother. She couldn't leave Caylee with Cindy either. Society harshly judges women who give their older children up. Tony or Casey's friends might think less of her.

IMO

My theory is this:

Klee and CA spent the day together (Father's Day) and in the course of maybe their drive home from the nursing home, Klee told CA something about KC that really pissed CA off. You know kids tell what they know but without knowing the consequences. Maybe Klee said something like "my mommy said she was going to kill me" or "my mommy said that she wouldn't let me stay with you (CA), she would kill me first."

That may have been what led to the huge fight on the 15th. Klee's last words to CA may have been about her mother killing her. Maybe that is what CA and GA don't want LE to know. Is this why CA feels so guilty?

I believe that KC expected Caylee to be found quickly...

  • she put the 'book' reading phone call into her story and seemed to stress it to officers
  • she kept saying 'close to home', 'she's close', etc. I think these were clues (in a backwards kind of way)
  • when Caylee wasn't found quickly, KC had to keep changing the story which she never considered. Now she's dug herself a DEEP hole that she's going to have to try to talk her way out of.
    • if the drop off story were true, I could see that Caylee would have taken her favorite booke with her. If the JBPark story was true - a kid wouldn't normally have a book in a park - so what did Zanny do? Knock KC down, grab Caylee then go grab her book?

no- putting Caylee so close to the house does not seem like choice she would make if her idea was to stage a kidnapping.
Wouldn't she have put her near the Sawgrass Apts or Blanchard Park?

it is possible that she was going to place her at one of these locations and maybe she was spooked by people coming and going? moo

According to this, KC states to CA during one of the jail visits that was recorded (and later released) that Zanny had a key to the house. So maybe she'll claim Z entered the house and took the book and other evidence?

About 7 paragraphs from the bottom of the story:

"Has someone else been in our house?" Cindy Anthony said.

"I don't know, mom. Possibly," Casey Anthony said. "I told you a long time ago that she had a key."

Ah...yes...thank you I remember that now. I think this fits in with how KC had to keep changing/adding to her story to fit the delayed discovery of Caylee.

I am sure Casey and Cindy will still try to say the nanny came in the house and took the duct tape and other items that was on the body to frame Casey...They will lie again even after asking for ammunity, because lies are all that family knows. None of them will ever admit that Casey killed Caylee, casey will not even admit to it. Its like they all want to go on like nothing ever happened.

I am just glad the body has been found and now Caylee can have a decent funeral and closure to all this mess that Casey has caused.
I guess Casey thought she had everyone and LE fooled and that she could get away with murder, but I don't think Casey figured how effective and good the LE is in finding a body and also the evidences they need to proscute someone for murder.
I think she figured she was smarter then they are but she got fooled, didn't she?

I still cannot even imagine what that baby went through, How could a person, especially a mother, do something so awful as this to her child. Then throw her away like garbage.
My mind cannot even comphrend it....
Casey is a monster to be able to do what she did. Now that Caylee's body has been found I cannot wait to see what lies she comes up with now to try to lie her way out of a murder charge.
Casey, lies do not get you anywhere but deeper into the mud.....
