I personally think that Drew told Tom MUCH more than he shared with Walter about this. I believe that Drew discussed Stacy leaving, his impending divorce, and many other things. I don't think Tom realized how deep he was in until it was far too late, but when he told Walter...he did so out of fear for his life and the life of his girlfriend/family. He knows a LOT more about what was going on that night with Drew and the barrel/tote/container. The money proves it, imo.
I agree. DP and Tom were together for quite some time on October 28th. According to the time line, DP picked Tom up at a park about 7:00pm. They went to the coffee shop (according to Mark Fuhrman at 7:35) and were there to about 9:21 (again according to Mark Fuhrman), and after moving the container, DP drove Tom home about 10:00pm.
I think that during all that time, DP was complaining about Stacy - about their marital problems, that she wanted a divorce and had left him for another man. DP probably named the other man - Scott Rossetto who lives in Shorewood, and a lot of details about how he had been stalking Stacy.
I think that when LE interviewed Tom initially, he gave them a lot of information that they later were able to verify from the cell phone records and whatever was found on the computers confiscated in the first search of DP's house. Recent reports state that LE was talking to Rossetto early on, and had placed an unmarked police car in his neighborhood the first week of November. I remember the ISP presser and the one thing that stands out to me is the statement that the computers were going to play a big role in the investigation.
