I think Sheriff Joe is to blame for allowing that to occur in his jail; he controls all access to and from media and he allowed it.
I thought those interviews were in Yreka, before she was moved to Arizona's custody?

Not that I agree with this, but as to 2nd degree, if -- from the start -- she had never said a thing without an attorney present, they could have argued heat of passion. Were it not for all her self-incriminating statements and lies, that could have worked. Had the prosecutor been someone less capable than Juan Martinez (and he usually only tries 1st degree cases), it's quite likely she could have pleaded the case out without any further police investigation, thus the proof of premeditation may never have come to light. Sad to say, but this kind of resolution happens all the time.
She basically screwed herself by her inability to just shut her trap.
I wonder how Dr. Samuels and Alyce LaViolette feel about the fact that their testimonies defining and corroborating Jodi's "fog" were publicly debunked yesterday, and by none other than Jodi herself? Of course, they knew they were lying in order to make money testifying on her behalf, but I doubt if they wanted the whole world to know.
Another thing about the killer having to 'rebut' the family's & Juan's statements. They had to fight for the gun shot first because that would be the only way they could try the case using DV & battered woman syndrome plus, the gun shot started 'the fog'. She couldn't admit to the stabbings first or even last because that would show the intent of murder & she wants it to be he attacked her & she fought back.
Dr. Horn finding no bleeding in the head wound explaining the heart was not pumping blood when he was shot & also after he was shot, he wouldn't have purposed movements, the numerous defensive wounds leads me to believe the shot was last.
The fact that the killer was no stranger to knifes. I do believe she carried a knife always. She slit a total of 12 tires! 2x'x Travis, 1x, Lisa's.
Only the killer would stand to the JSS and still insist the order of the weapons used at the sentencing! Thinking that the order of weapons used, would make a difference that she premeditated killing Travis. Like her mind is thinking that the order of the weapons, would make a difference in her guilt or sentence!
One was in Yreka, then more after she was brought to Mesa. She loved it!I thought those interviews were in Yreka, before she was moved to Arizona's custody?
But don't forget that JW made it very clear that j17 did not get on Facebook during the trial b/c she said she didn't and we have to believe her.
So are we supposed to believe that J17 was the ONLY person involved with this case that *WASN'T* influenced by social media?!
I wonder if she knows something we don't (like she did w/j17 and didn't say anything) that JA will be able to base her appeal on? Like maybe something that happend in the beginning when JA was questioned by the police...
Is there maybe something they should have done differently with a suspect that is mentally ill?
Something did push her to do it, but what your friend fails to understand is there was no legal mitigating reason determined. Jealousy and rage are not defensible mitigators for premeditated murder. Receiving a DP sentence is not easy and not receiving it does not invalidate the heinousness of the crime.
She really is such a beautiful soul. *gagging*And had sex with him to help him feel normal. So he'd lust after grown women instead of little boys or girls.

The shot was last IMO but she did stab him in the neck three times in addition to the huge gaping throat slitting per autopsy report-page 3
"I do remember the moment the knife went into Travis' throat," Arias said. "He was still conscious. He was trying to attack me."

What I don't understand was how they could bring social media into this? For Wilmott to sit there and say that if JA said this then she was wrong, or if she said whatever......WHAT DOES IT MATTER WHAT PEOPLE WERE SAYING ON SOCIAL MEDIA???? It isn't like people just started having opinions with the invention of Facebook, Twitter, etc..... To me, she was making the case out to being tried in the court of public opinion, and in today's day and time, there is just no way for people not to form their own opinions ESPECIALLY when the public has a right to the information.
And for JA to sit there and show that she had seen what was on Social Media.....that absolutely infuriates me. Her access to social media, period, made me furious.
:gaah:
Sorry, just had to vent that out!

Not all of them to my knowledge. But regardless, it is the jail warden who controls whether an inmate gets to interview with media, particularly in person. Arias may have asked for the interview (or maybe it was producers for those shows), but either way, the jail management (i.e. warden) is who makes the decision to allow or not.I thought those interviews were in Yreka, before she was moved to Arizona's custody?
