True but even if it was 11-1 in favor of life and not death, it still doesn't mean the killer gets an 'out' for killing. She was convicted of 1st degree premeditated murder and regardless of penalty phase, the conviction doesn't go away.

Sadly or perhaps ironically, that kind of is almost the size of some small studio apts in San Francisco (and probably NYC).

I'm guessing the State of Arizona saved a lot when it came to sentencing her to LWOP rather than the DP, since DP-ers cost a lot more to house, can't work, etc. I figure Jodi got the raw end of the deal in all this: conviction of first degree murder + the rest of her life locked in to a hellish place.

And she can no longer be the next Debra Milke by being in on that group lawsuit to overturn the Death Penalty.

IIRC, I think she corrected herself mid-sentence to say "I WOULD" have testified I remembered the knife..etc,etc" I think she was covering herself as usual so that she can still claim she had the fog while testifying in the trial, but it magically lifted the very morning of her sentencing. Of course, we all know there never was a fog --it was just impossible for her to have had any acceptable explanation of the horrific blood bath she perpetrated.

Yea. JA showed signs of how she can lose her temper and go into a fit of rage.

When she turned around and gave the evil stare when the baby started crying was another example of how she expects everyone to bend over for her and keep quiet when she is talking.

I wish we would have had a few outbursts from people in the gallery. People showed good restraint but it would have been fine by me if a few would have yelled out a few nasties at her while she was trying to talk.

Im finally over her and just glad she is going away for good. During the trial though she showed her evilness and she is more evil than a lot of male murderers IMO.

She would've killed that baby for interrupting her if she could've. How dare it!!! Thank goodness the baby is too young to understand the evil glare she gave it.

That was on the June 1st restitution hearing. I was surprised that she waived her right to appear, even if it's just a formality. (I don't know what it consists of.)

What I meant is that if this restitution business ensures someone is watching her money to grab it for AZ when the chance arises, then why should the Alexander family file a wrongful death civil suit and look for a damage award? They'll never see a penny anyway most likely, and that situation it seems WOULD enable her to show her face.

So as long as the Alexanders know JA's finances will be under scrutiny forever, why waste time with a civil suit?

Because it's never about the money.

So is Wilmot remained as a matter if formality? Since jodi will be assigned another attorney to handle her appeals. I'm sure nurmi celebrated his freedom last night.

Wilmott has to be there for the Restitution hearing, then I think her role is done. She WON'T be Jodi's appeal attorney. That's another specialty. So Nurmi and Wilmott can add another loss to their records, unless they count saving her from the Death Penalty as a win, but aside from the stealth juror, 11-1 tells the real story. Nobody else bought what they were selling.

I lived in Morelos state in Mexico for 7 months with no air conditioning. The house was made of concrete or whatever it is that most Mexican houses are made of.

My bedroom was a small concrete box/oven with a window, only a little bit bigger than Jodi's cell. The climate was very dry and extremely hot. Even with a heavy duty fan blowing the hot air around I was unable to fall asleep until about 2 am due to the heat. I even wiped my skin down with a wet towel continuously. It didn't help much.

The temperature was in the 90s and unrelenting. This was from September to April. I finally left after 7 months because of the miserable heat. They told me that if I had stayed to experience the heat in May I would be crying from misery.

I assume Arizona must be somewhat similar, although I was located closer to the Equator and the sun was possibly stronger.

It gets up to 120 in Arizona, and there is no humidity. Totally different. I've been in both environments, AZ in 120 degree heat, and Singapore which is very close to the Equator, very humid. You can survive either with air conditioning, but dry heat is worse. My Phoenix cousins travel during the summer months.

Jodi Arias is a murderer, a liar and a thief! We have all laughed out loud at her tracings of iconic ads trying to pass them off as her original art. When the murderer started selling these frauds as her own for thousands of dollars we stopped laughing and decided to start getting to what can be done about this. E Bay stopped selling her "art".


Everything about her turned out to be fake or stolen. She stole Travis' engagement ring, she stole his journals, she stole the tragic story of Dan Freeman's brother's suicide and turned it into lies that Travis was a pedophile.

Did you know.....many of her blog entries were stolen also? Google was notified of various and sundry copyright violations from the overt plagiarizing she did, stealing true author's blogs. The "Why Do Children Climb Up Slides" and "If" blogs she posted were the work of Mr. Ralph Marston He let them know what the murderer was up to they removed them straight away.

Jodi Arias was sentenced yesterday by Judge Sherry Stephens to Natural Life. She will never walk free again. EVER! She will try to find ways to gain publicity and taunt the Alexander family. She wont be making money off stolen work of true artists and authors any more. There are GOOD people who are going to keep a close eye on that.

Today I want to thank Google, for their immediate attention to this copyright violation complaint. That was as fast as Jill DeLaSantos got fired from the Boys and Girls Club of Maui. It is time to heal and be grateful for all of the truly good decent people who have helped expose the murderer for what she is. Yesterday with her admission that she lied on the stand in the trial, she DOES recall stabbing Travis and slitting his throat, Jodi Arias told the whole world she is indeed evil, without remorse and should rot in prison. That she will do....and if she wants to draw or blog it will be to an audience of one.

JA likely stole from TA's bank accounts as well. Maybe she was still spending his money at Estrella's commissary until Sunday night (or whenever her privileges were removed by Sheriff Joe)?

She stole the Ninja story from something that happened to Travis.

She stole the gun and the knife.

I wonder if she stole her clothes, since she seemed to have plenty?

Jodi stole words and phrases and tried to make them look like hers, even though they never "fit" right.

Jodi's plagiarism wasn't just whole-scale theft of Marston's blog: Jodi's entire blog looked as though it was cut-and-pasted phrases from other people.

I'm not familiar with the Google episode. Is that a new event? How about the eBay thing?

Incidentally, my favorite photo in your photo collage is the one in the lower right corner of Flores and Martinez using the same gesture. I always feel so safe when I see that photo, like there are people in the world who truly "have our backs".

I've always felt the gunshot was first also, while he was sitting in that shower..It incapacitated him long enough for her to get those initial stabs in. I think he was just trying to frantically get out of the shower and get out of that room to get help..I think he used his hands to block the knife and honestly I think his only goal at that time was to get away from Jodi and get help. JMO

I think she stun gunned him, you can see long, jaggy white marks on his shoulder in several of the shower photos which I think is the arcing of the stun gun to get him sitting. She admits to having a stun gun. She offered it to Travis, after slashing his tires (how big of her!)

Hope there is a judicial review of standards for DA. The degree of trashing of the victim was seriously appalling.
