Sorry if the answer is obvious- but where can we view the spreadsheet?

Damn, that's what I was afraid of.

According to their statement, this may be the first case solved primarily with FamilyTreeDNA rather than GEDMatch, since his GEDMatch matches were poor.
His numbers and Shirley Cassel's were some of the lowest ones on the Doe Spreadsheet, and yet we see that no matter what, any case can still be solvable. There's so many avenues available and resources to solve these cases. This continues to give me hope for the other cases, especially those on the sheet with low numbers.

One of the biggest factors too is FamilyTreeDNA. The project has said before that numbers there tend to be higher, but they only post GEDMatch numbers to their spreadsheet.

In regards to the Allegan co John Doe there is actually two Namus entries associated with the same individual, there was also a femur bone found in November 2013 which was later associated with the skull. The femur bone was found in the Silver Lake State Park, also along the Michigan Lake. It reminds me of John Frish (Peoria co John Doe) and Shirley Cassel (Buena Vista Lake Jane Doe) cases

I wish the DDP would list how close they are to their donation goals with the cases asking for donations, I understand if its for confidentiality or legal reasons, would still be cool to see if it was doable.

Interesting update on Summit Co John Doe (Colorado)
Authorities revamp efforts to identify Summit County John Doe in 2016 cold case
Misty who was also a team leader for Park Co John Doe said that Summit Co John Doe is a tough case:
"Based on results, Koski said, the man might have been a recent immigrant and of Scandinavian descent, both of which create problems. Researchers have identified a few potential matches, but they’re too distant to make an easy ancestral connection.

“In that gene pool, as far as looking at databases here in the United States, it can be difficult to draw from,” Koski said. “We have probably fourth cousin matches. But let’s say we can get their ancestors built a couple generations back, when we get to the turn of the century, when a lot of families immigrated here, a lot of the names will change. If they were keeping the naming patterns from Norway and Sweden and other Scandinavian countries, it’s very difficult to follow.

“If you have a name like Johnson, that’s literally John’s son and his daughter is John’s daughter. And the next generation down doesn’t follow that same convention. So John’s son becomes something else, he’s Johnson and his child would be something like Sven Johnson. Now his son would be Svenson. It’s very hard to find connections.”

I'm not sure if Joan is aware, but James is still listed under "Research in Progress"

From the article above, Interesting:
“The team has solved 44 out of more than 100 cases so far, but need more people to opt into their DNA match database to solve more cases. They have also solved 2 out of 5 cases in Arizona”.
