I can't speak for all supporters, but I can speak for myself.
In my opinion, they didn't leave her to be abducted/sexually abused/murdered. They did what wasn't unusual in Europe, or at this resort, and are paying a high price for it. Do I think they should have left the children? No. Do I think they regret it now, and will for the rest of their lives? Yes.
I also think that the torment of that is punishment enough.
I don't believe they murdered their daughter, I don't have any problem with them using the fund for it's intended purpose, and I don't believe it will be for the rest of their lives.
I see people here complain that they are getting over it too fast. Now it's that their aren't getting over it fast enough.
Just consider, Barnaby, just for a minute or two... what if they didn't do it? What if the only mistake they made was being lulled into a false sense of security, and left those children alone. Can you imagine what they are going through??
Now, if it turns out that these rumors are true. (The DNA match, the dogs alerting, etc.) If all these rumors turn out to be true, and they are charged and found guilty, I could understand the anger at them and their deception. But this anger at suppositions, rumor, innuendo, and a smear campaign is very hard for me to understand.
