Doctor's Appt & Seizures Revisit w/new 2010.11.12 Dateline info

I'm wondering if the mini seizure symptoms are a part of what Kaine reported today that are "misdirections" of what she was telling people. He claimed that Terri would actually create problems with all the children after putting on the pressure, then take the credit for solving these problems. There were no seizures IMO.

We know nothing of these emails but what we've been told, just as we know of Ms Porter by what we've been told. There are contradictions in the story. That isn't passing judgment; that is stating the obvious.

We have portions of emails describing symptons and a mix up with Mrs. Porter(which is a totally different mix up than what Jaymie Finster reported on behalf of her friend as it relates to the appointment). Those emails are quoted and have been quoted in several MSM sources. If those weren't Terri's words, I'd think her high-powered attorneys would have fought the media and threatened lawsuits to get the emails removed from the media.

Terri, through emails and a friend, is the only one that has ever mentioned an appointment and a mix up that we know of. She is the one that gave the story life, if you will. Mrs. Porter has not chosen to give the media her side through third parties or other methods. So we don't know if her story includes T's story or if it includes Terri's. We do know that Terri told her friend that Mrs. Porter was new and in her first year of teaching(which was a lie). So if we had to pick one person out of the two to be leery of their story, I'd pick the one that has already proven to be a liar(through at least two different versions of the appointment story and regarding the teacher's credentials.

Actually, to be objective, Terri's not the only one. Just as second-hand sources gave info allegedly from Terri in MSM articles, second-hand sources also gave info allegedly from the school and the teacher, and there was, e.g., that mom and child who gave interviews about the appointment. And Kaine/Desiree released info regarding the appointment.

So if it's so that Terri gave the appointment life, it follows that so did the school and the teacher and the mom and the child and Kaine and Desiree.

A whole host of people gave the doctor's appointment life.

You're right, other people did talk about the appointment and give the fact there might have been or not have been an appointment life. However, Terri is the only one that put a mixup squarely on Ms. Porter's shoulders, the only one who mentioned the appointment AND a mixup at the same time on the part of Kyron's teacher. Terri couldn't possibly have been wrong, it had to be a first year teacher who couldn't hear well. No one else gave the mixup life but Terri, and that is what Trt was responding to. Not that the appointment had life, but that Terri is the one who twisted it into Ms. Porter being a bad teacher and not hearing her right. Until Ms. Porter tells her side of the story in court, she can't be judged for what Terri of all people says about her.

Ok, objectively, Terri was the person that gave the story life. Others have been asked about it after Jaymie Finster (on June 18th) speaks on behalf of Terri and explains what Mrs. Porter thought. Before Jaymie Finster, the only rumblings about an appointment were from rumors. Then we find out that Terri was giving a totally different appointment story on June 5th. But we can't say others gave the story life when it was nothing but a rumor until Terri's friend(on Terri's behalf) spoke up about it.

Outside of the little boy's mom who said her so also knew about an appointment(after we had already heard two of Terri's versions), the other players that have spoken up have either said they knew nothing of an appointment or that they weren't at liberty to speak. So, objectively, others spoke up about the appointment(if we can really call it that) after Terri gave the story life.

I didn't discuss/post/opine about anything at all about any of that. Please re-read my post.

Then it was Terri's friend who gave it life - not Terri. If I'm not mistaken - and I'll be happy to go back and check - just going off memory - the friend (Jaymie) said in that interview that she contacted Terri because she wanted to go public.

So again, it was not Terri who gave it life.

My opinion only, Trt. Always enjoy discussing these things with you, and hearing your viewpoint. Thanks.

BBM...Me too BeanE. Love your objectivity and you always keep us honest with your posts for reference. :)

Fair enough, it was Terri's friend, but she did say that she was speaking on Terri's behalf and with Terri's blessing because the "internet stuff was damaging."

Also, if I am not mistaken, the little boy's mom did not say directly that her son knew Kyron had an appointment. She said something like, "yeah, I heard about the appointment from the teacher, my son said he knew that he was gone all day." I will try to find it, though I am not adept at finding these quotes...:(

OK, the quote is in here
http://www.katu.com/news/local/98981009.html

Kim Holm’s son, K, who Terri Horman photographed with his science project around the time she took a picture of Kyron that morning, said her son knew about the appointment too.

“And the teacher said, ‘I thought he left with his mom,’ because they thought they had a doctor appointment,” Holm said. “And then at lunchtime, Kurtis ate lunch with him every day, he wasn’t there at lunchtime. And then I got a call at 4:30ish, saying he didn’t get off the bus, I guess. And K said, ‘Oh yeah, I knew he was already gone all day Mom.’”

So it sounds to me as though the source was the teacher, not Kyron. It is a mangled paragraph, due to where the quotation marks are and are not...hard to tell. But it does not clearly indicate that Kurtis got his info from Kyron, at least not to me.

So if this is true and the teacher said this, she was aware of a Dr. appointment before she knew Kyron was missing. So it couldn't have been a CYA statement. She had to have gotten the Dr. appt. comment from Terri.

But why isn't the part "because he had a doctor's appointment" inside the quotes? Did the boy's mother say this or not?

It won't let me edit K's name out of the media link...if a mod can do it? And out of the post that quotes it? Sorry...:(

Seems like the mom is relaying what her son is saying but she is the one who said "because they thought he had an appointment?" Thanks for finding that link cluciano!!

That has always confused me, I knew the child had not said but could not explain what I meant...it was third-hand after all, it seems...

Supposing Ms. Holm gives a verbatim quote from the teacher (which is doubtful after more than a month and particularly if it's second hand via her son) it appears to me that it was said after Kyron was already discovered missing because people likely wouldn't say "I thought he was with his mom" unless they have already found out that they were mistaken. It would be "I think he's with his mom."
