Dog the Bounty Hunter #2

wow, that was pretty disgusting hearing him talk like that. tucker just sounds kind of shocked. i'm still listening, but i've heard the first part that is causing the contraversy. thanks for the link taximom.

I wonder if Tucker will be able to still live in expensive Hawaii since he's an ex con with probably no family to mooch off and blackmail now. I think it should be made illegal in all states to tape anyone over the phone or in anyway without their permission.

I just read the horrible hate filled TOTALLY RACIST crap this man admits to saying. And here I see most of you support this. You make every excuse in the world for this man and by what he said there is no doubt this is how he feels and thinks in life.

Private calls shouldn't be recorded illegally? Tell that to Bush.

Oh, and you're giving the excuse that this son has been in prison and is a bad guy etc. Well, most the time when that's the case people here say it's probably bad parents. I guess not in this case huh?

And the same old, well black people say it excuse. Oh beans! That has nothing to do with this vitriolic racism that has been more and more acceptable and even encouraged in this country for the last seven years. From the top down.

The fact is if a black man does something wrong there are threads a mile long condemning them. And well deserved.

But now ,it's a white guy who is liked so every and all excuses will be made for him.

I don't believe anyone should be fired for saying things like this, quite frankly. If they say I feel bad about it or apologize or whatever then hell, then people ought to just drop it.
But at the same time, I don't doubt for a minute that there true self was speaking.

But I feel really bad that so many people I like and admire on this site just think this is ok and making all these excuses for him.

I wish I could tell you what racism has done to my kids, and does each and every day of their lives. It hurts my kids who are half black in a hundred different ways every single day of their lives. People who don't walk each day in a non white skin or race have no idea what it's like. The racism is there constantly everywhere you go, either blatantly or subtlety

I don't feel welcome here. Now knowing how so many here agree with this.

...stuff...

I think people are willing to give the Dog a pass because the amount of good this man does outweighs his very poor choice of words. It's going to take a hell of alot more than devaluing the "N" word to stop racism.

I don't know what you propose here. You said you don't think he should lose his job. He apologized from what I can gather. What more do you want? It's a stupid 2 syllable word he said. Is there nothing better to do in peoples lives than get offended every time someone says something stupid?

Is it no longer ok to feel and think a certain way in America anymore? I believe everyone has a right to think and feel any way they choose.

Private calls shouldn't be recorded illegally? Tell that to Bush.

Oh, and you're giving the excuse that this son has been in prison and is a bad guy etc. Well, most the time when that's the case people here say it's probably bad parents. I guess not in this case huh?

Actually, I believe "Dog" probably did not set a good example when his children were growing up, since he did jail time, etc.

And the same old, well black people say it excuse. Oh beans! That has nothing to do with this vitriolic racism that has been more and more acceptable and even encouraged in this country for the last seven years. From the top down.

It has? I guess I haven't noticed that. I have noticed a lot more racism issues, but I've never noticed it being encouraged.

The fact is if a black man does something wrong there are threads a mile long condemning them. And well deserved.

But now ,it's a white guy who is liked so every and all excuses will be made for him.

I'm not going to make excuses for him. What he said was wrong, however, he did say it in the privacy of his own surroundings and not in public. It's unfortunate for everyone that it has been brought to light because his son obviously has no respect for his own father. This was a personal conversation between family members that turned into a a public affair. Just because "Dog" is a public figure doesn't mean he's not entitled to a private life. I believe we all are.

I don't believe anyone should be fired for saying things like this, quite frankly. If they say I feel bad about it or apologize or whatever then hell, then people ought to just drop it.

I'm sorry for your kids that they are being hurt, I truly am. It's a shame that as a society, we can't all just get along. However, the race thing is on both sides, not just one. You think white people aren't discriminated against because of their color? Think again. It happens every day.

I don't feel welcome here. Now knowing how so many here agree with this.

I wish you didn't feel this way, but I can't change your feelings. I'm also not trying to start an argument in any way. I'm only expressing my own feelings on this subject. I certainly don't want anyone to think I'm racist at all, because I'm not. I just wish everyone could get along, but that's what makes us all unique.

Pics of Tucker and Monique here:
http://hitsusa.com/blog/264/tucker-chapman/

The recording kicks right in so if you don't want to hear the *$&%(#@ and the N-word, turn your speakers down. This is the first time I've heard the whole thing and Tucker's voice.

I can't believe nobody is upset with all the F words!
:D
Wow, Monique is a little cutie, isn't she? Hope that isn't politically incorrect... :)

  • #149
Tucker needs his behind beat. He ought to be ashamed. This has been blown way out of proportion. Dog shouldn't have used the language, but I can honestly say I've said things in my life I wouldn't want recorded and aired out for the entire world to hear and judge me by. I especially wouldn't want my livlihood effected by it. This is how this man supports his family, good clean honest living.

He's made his apologies, he doesn't bother Monique, Monique shouldn't have been around his property or family if there was contention. Apparently there was after hearing the entire tape recording between father and son that shouldn't even exist.

Dog was talking about recordings in that very conversation, so he was spot on in his suspicions, and the rumors he had been hearing, they proved themselves to be everything he had heard and it has come to pass.

So Monique and Tucker had been planning for a while to record, and get back at the Chapman family, it's too obvious, and I now see why Dog was on such edge with these two people, he had every right and inclination, proof and evidence to be. Good for him for catching this and trying to thwart off this very spectacle for his family, but the wrong doers wouldn't have that.

they wanted trouble, and look what it's cost. This is another example of strife causing such dissension in a family. Blown way out of proportion. It's none of my business what a father has to say to his son. I think all the cursing is just as offensive, why aren't people offended by that? Because they selectively judge instead of righteously judging when needed.

A parent has to righteously judge in dealing with their children, but what goes on between a father and son isn't for me to judge, that should have been and stayed in private.

  • #150
I agree, Kool...

Putting the hideous language aside, what I am hearing underneath all of this is Dog had a very strong feeling that his son's girlfriend was up to no good.

IMO, the converstaion was a set-up on the part of Dog's son and girlfriend. I think they had it all planned out.

This is exactly why you shouldn't leave this site. You need to educate people and make them understand how words can hurt. You need to let people know that racism is still out there both blatantly and subtlety.

Nobody is all good or all bad. I am personally offended by his choice of words and even by him in general. At the same time, I can admire some of the things he has done. There is no excuse for his choice of words other than ignorance.

Keep on posting, and keep on educating. If you can help change just one person's views then you are doing a good thing. For the others who are lost in their small minded worlds, it is truly their loss not yours.:)

I don't believe anyone is supporting racism. I believe that we support FREE SPEECH. Being racist is ugly and disgusting, but its a right that Americans have.

Private calls shouldn't be recorded illegally? Tell that to Bush.

Telephone calls can be recorded so long as at least one of the participants agrees to it. I don't know what on God's green earth this has to do with Bush, so let's leave him to the Political forum, please.

And the same old, well black people say it excuse. Oh beans! That has nothing to do with this vitriolic racism that has been more and more acceptable and even encouraged in this country for the last seven years. From the top down.

I don't know where you get the idea that racism has been more and more acceptable and encouraged in this country for the last seven years. Indeed, just the opposite is true. I believe that society as a whole is bending over backwards to make sure that its politically correct to the point of being ridiculous.

The fact is if a black man does something wrong there are threads a mile long condemning them. And well deserved.

The threads we have here represent individuals of every race, I'm sure; however, since most of the time we don't even KNOW the race of the individuals that we're posting about, I think you're way off base here.

I don't believe anyone should be fired for saying things like this, quite frankly. If they say I feel bad about it or apologize or whatever then hell, then people ought to just drop it.

We're in agreement that he shouldn't be fired for making the comments. I also agree that people should just drop it.

But I feel really bad that so many people I like and admire on this site just think this is ok and making all these excuses for him.

Again, simply because we support free speech doesn't mean we support racism.

I wish I could tell you what racism has done to my kids, and does each and every day of their lives. It hurts my kids who are half black in a hundred different ways every single day of their lives. I'm very sorry that your children experience racism. Its not right and they should be able to live their lives without that fear.

I don't feel welcome here. Now knowing how so many here agree with this.

I don't know what to tell you. If you'd like to terminate your account, we can take care of that for you. However, since this is a discussion forum, perhaps you'd like to just stay and discuss your feelings.

so, from reading this thread we've gone from:
  • Dog didn't say those hateful things (story is a fake);
  • the story is true but he didn't actually say what you think you heard (slanted "quotes" posted);
  • he actually said all that, but it's not as hateful as it sounds (who doesn't talk like that);
  • he did use the n-bomb along with assorted other profanity (but those words do not mean what you think they mean);
  • what dog said was vile, but the son is to blame because he's a convicted felon (like his father);
  • what dog said was vile, but it's really the girl friend's fault (she might have recorded him saying the same things);
  • what dog said was vile, but the son is to blame (he recorded his father's racist rant);
  • what dog said was vile, but hey, those rappers sometimes use the n-word (as if those dudes are role models for civil discourse);
  • what dog said was vile, but he shouldn't lose his show ("free speech" and all);
...

I could go on and on, but you get the picture.

In "A Time to Kill", Grisham's character says "you don't see me as a man, you see me as a black man". People like this Dog are like that, they can't judge the character of a person because they cannot see beyond the colour of that person.

This idiot admits that if anyone heard the way they talk at home it would ruin his career, but they just can't help themselves even when visitors are present. Face it, the man’s got nothing against n****rs, it’s just that when there’s n****rs around he's going to say n****r, and he can’t help himself. The creep and his inbred family would still be living in a white trash trailer park if not for that television show.

Jeana, I so agree with you about this country bending over backwards in an effort to be politically correct, to the point of being absurd. Freedom of speech means just that, not free to speak as long as no one takes offense. I'm sick of people trying to dictate what others are allowed to say, especially in private!

Who knew that treating people with respect is considered bending over backwards in order to not offend. :confused:

I said this before on another thread and no one seemed to take notice (don't know if it is a good or bad thing).

Until we ALL forget about the past ills done by ALL of ancestors and move on...we will never get away from racism. Pure and simple. Let the ills be remembered in our History as horrible things which happened...then stop dredging it up constantly on any side. The very battle of if this or that smacks of racism creates MORE racism. We pass it to our children if only we are trying to prevent it this way. Enough already! Forget it or it can never be laid to rest and we can never go beyond it haunting us forever.

It is like carrying a grudge or a chip on your shoulder throughout our lives. Forgive and forget...move on and learn from it.

Saying the N-word, for white folks, has become the ultimate crime of the new politically-correct, racially-themed 'McCarthy era', of our time.

But while you guys are all debating the horrendous unspeakable offense of Dog saying the 'N-word'.. I did a quick search of the latest CDs (on Amazon) with the word '🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬' in them,, and hhhhmmmm..... isn't it funny, what comes up:

Jigga my 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬... by Jay-Z

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 What, 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Who... by Jay-z

I wanted to print them all but my hand got tired. But the list goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on. Who's responsible for this?? The evil bad white people?? Ha,, not quite.
But LOL,, you gotta love HYPOCRISY. Sorry.. but I will not feel bad for them or feel bad when anyone says it until they stop saying it themselves.. and stop incessantly promoting the worst possible stereotypes about themselves. It really boils down to this: If you don't want to be called something,, THEN QUIT CALLING YOURSELF THAT!!

However.. the TRUTH of the matter is.. they DO want to be called that. Not all, but most, it seems. Again-- not the intelligent, educated, evolved people..... but all the rest. Those are the ones I have no sympathy for.
