Ahh, yes....why is that men who are so "adamantly against" gay people, or I should say gay MEN, think it's "different between women." ????
Men who are homophobic against gay men welcome gay or bisexual women with open arms....LOL. Seems they all want to watch two WOMEN get together and fool around with each other sexually and think it's great, but protest so much about gay MEN that it's such a ridiculous double standard.
Methinks that those who protest the loudest may just internally feel the exact opposite of what they outwardly proclaim.
Yup, I said it.[/QUOTE]
Good point.
People seem annoyed that gays make "declarations" about their sexuality. Think of how annoying it is for gay people to always be presumed to be straight! What a pain it is to have to set the record over and over again.
Some people would rather gays stay out of their consciousness altogether. In fact, just conveniently disappear. This is why coming out of the closet can be a big deal.
Look at this poor Pastor Ted. Reverend Haggard makes a career out of hating gays and being holier than thou political about it. He leads the political movement to oppress gay people. He gets busted hiring a male prostitutute for a "massage" and night of methamphetamines, (ok maybe he didn't inhale or swallow).
Now that is a tragic story IMO. This man is so self-hating, he goes out of his way to harm people who just want to be left alone and have the same rights and responsibilities as citizens in the US as anyone else.
There is growing acceptance of gay people in the US because folks have "come out" and are counted. Too many of us know gay people. We see how ordinary and similar gays are to everyone else.
Its a peculiar fixation of Fox News to make a big deal of "gay counts" in Hollywood and bashing Hollywood's liberalism.
Neil Patrick Harris is no doubtedly openly gay to people he cares about but not making a declaration and someone decided to make him make one by making this a public news story.
