I don't know. But he usually has a live audience. Not in this case. So exceptions have been made.

prob wanted to keep a lid on the info, these tape long before being aired and people will talk...like us here!

It is not that it interferes with his wedding. It is a matter of respect. Lee may not be perfect but he is the best they have.....

I just feel they should step back from the limelight and let him have his moments up until the wedding.

Instead, they have made themselves the focus. They knew when this would air.

I really think Lee is a good guy and I hope he is very happy with Mallory. I think both men have been a victim of psychopath Casey.

But Lee strikes me as being the shy and private type. I don't think he thinks he parents are taking away anything from him and Mallory. I am sure they are busy making final preparations.

GA's nephew was married in Ohio on August 27th. They were coming back from the wedding IMO.

Yes, but what I was thinking was that the interview took place sometime before they were spotted in NC (or even after that day, I suppose) but on that same trip. That way there wouldn't be all sorts of attention focused on them if they took a trip strictly to go meet up with Dr Phil.

That may be the case about the lack of a live audience, but I'm not sure how this would equal that the As could pick and choose what was aired?

Your probably right, but is it really out of all possibility?

Nonprofits may spend as much or as little as they like on admin. costs, though they may be flagged by the IRS for spending a huge amount on admin costs for several years, which may result in an audit. It is pretty typical for a new nonprofit to spend more $s on admin as they get the nonprofit up and running.

Salaries are not considered across the board to be an administrative cost. If a staff person is working on programming, then this is a program cost, not admin. When I was the ED of a nonprofit, 80% of my time was spent on programming and 20% was on G&O, and our financials and 990s reflected that (I had to detail what I did with my time for the auditors to come up with that ratio).

ETA: these were our internal auditors, not from the IRS

I believe the standard now is that no more than 35% should be spent on administration and fundraising combined. The standard used to be 25% but has gone up. Often, it's not the IRS that takes an interest, but complaints to the state attorney's office in the state in which the charity operates or is incorporated. Charity watchdog groups also keep an eye on non profit spending.

Editing was inevitable with 9 hours of raw interview whittled down to around 2 hours of programing. I'm just a bit curious on how much influence the Anthonys had on the editing. Did they have an agreement with the Dr Phil show on what would air? It could have been part of the exclusive agreement they came up with. MOO.

I would assume that the influence the Anthonys had on the editing was in direct relation to their "donation" amount. The more money they wanted , the less influence they had on the editing part. Like a quid pro quo deal..

Well he has legs and could run for the hills if he truly wanted to.

Thats easier said than done after a 30 year marriage.

Here's my take on it. I think they were guarded but George was trying to break out. Cindy had an agenda and she is in MAJOR public denial. I think in her bed at night the truth creeps in and she knows Casey killed Caylee but she just refuses to allow that reality to settle. She has to keep fighting against it because what she has to believe makes her guilty too. I also believe Cindy is sick to some degree and I think she taught Casey everything she knows. I am the mother of a late teens daughter and sometimes its pathetic what I let her get away with...but we have a heart to heart and all is forgiven (until the next time). I think Cindy wasn't at her breaking point with Casey yet but she was damn near close. I really don't think any of them ever thought for one second that Casey's behavior would lead to murder. It's a big step to go from stealing $$ for party clothes to murdering your flesh and blood. I do think Casey probably was a "great" parent in their eyes...it's like the old phrase "disney dad" with parents who see their children every other weekend and are the "better" parent in the kid's eyes....with a lot of time off from the "burden" of parenting, you're able to put on a better show when "on duty." and up until 2ish, the baby is a fun accessory !!

I think if Cindy and George were to separate the real story would come flying out of that man's mouth with record speed. Cindy certainly has that mans cajones in her purse.

So your saying that a show wishing to get an exclusive with the Anthonys would not enter into an agreement about editing their interview. Why not? Big ratings = big money. Sure the Anthonys could self edit themselves. For 9 hours would be pretty hard but I guess they could try.

Yes, I'm saying that interviewers (especially big-name ones) are not going to hand any of the editing over to their interview subjects. It would make no sense to even do an interview if they did that.

finally got to watch. as of today, some truth, some lie, some denial, and some of phil trying to keep them real. george more real than cindy. when a family has a member who lies/steals/behaves badly, and is an adult then really cant keep them in line. most of us would never suspect that family member of doing any physical harm to the littlest member, much less kill. my beef with them was since the 911 call, behaviors that threw wrenches into the investigaton/trial.

now will await tomorrow...

I have no idea what Cindy was thinking or would think about your photo montage. My position remains the same: I think that using even 10 photos from each of the 31 days/nights is a dishonest technique, no matter who or which side uses it. And that's because they don't tell the full story. For all I know, every minute of each of those days/nights was fun-filled and carefree. Or Casey was subdued most of the time. Or it was half-and-half. Or something else. I just don't know, and I won't be swayed by what photos any attorney shows in court to try to further their agenda. I realize that there are 24 hours and over 1400 minutes in a day, and that no one's state of mind or demeanor can be proven in a shutter click that takes less than a second.

Not one person (and there were plenty) ever told LE that FCA was subdued during the 31 days, in fact some said she was more carefree than usual!

IMO those photos represent how FCA was behaving while out partying the night away in the 31 days after Caylee's death.

Why not if they can get an exclusive. Is there some kind of journalistic oath that Dr Phil has taken that forbids this kind of practice?

Of course, it's possible, but is it really probable? It's possible that I could win the Powerball tomorrow night, but (unfortunately) not too probable. :)

Ok , I give up. Unless there is proof of an agreement between Dr Phil and the Anthonys about editing this show, I will forever remain silent about this subject. So Help Me God.

isnt that what she was doing when Caylee was missing? Living the Bella vita life at upscale Sushi Bar and lounger...
They pretty much determined that is when she was living with young college guy and doing this kind of stuff.
What did CA think she was doing? None of the guyd who saw her, nor TL has said she seemed depressed.

From what I've seen/read/heard, Dr. Phil has stated no questions were off limits and the A's were not a part if the editing process.

He played it squirrelly the whole time. I'm sure I missed the end result of his answer because of the HUGE run around, to me this is the same as a lie.
I agree, he did not want to see his daughter die, he still had an agenda and he still played it IMO.

I respect your opinion indicat.

But I saw a man berated and beaten down by a smart azz defense lawyer that George had to put up with for three long years and he was accused of the most horrible things imaginable. IMO, George did get angry at times..who wouldn't when talked to the way he was talked to and accused of things he did not do. I fully understand why he didn't give an inch when Baez was trying to trick him. What greater pain can there be for a grandfather to be accused of callously throwing his precious granddaughter away like garbage?

No, Baez was the one making the HUGE deal about the gas can. George was just not going to let him put words in his mouth and I say, good for him.

Yes, he did have an agenda. He wanted justice for Caylee. He said 1+1=2 and the last time he saw Caylee she was leaving with her mother.(paraphrasing) He never waivered in that opinion and he sure didn't rollover for his psychopathic daughter either. From the very beginning he begged Casey to contact LE or the FBI to tell them what she knew about Caylee.

He wanted justice for Caylee and Cindy wanted to make up excuses.

IMO

Dr. Phil tapes in LA not NC. They were spotted in NC around August 30th off the interstate one would normally take on their way back from Ohio. The news about Dr. Phil interviewing them was out in the public by August 30th. jmo

Summary from Dr. Phil: Cindy has advanced three theorys to explain her daughter's behavior.

1. Brain Tumor
2. Grand Mal Seizures
3. Post Partum Schizophrenia

He states he will never do an interview the felon. Her behavior speaks for itself. She doesn't have a brain tumor as there is no medical evidence. He doubts grand mal seizures would cause her behavvior. In addition, there is no evidence that casey suffered from post-partum Schizophrnia.

As I said, it makes no sense for an interviewer to hand over editing control to the subjects. He might as well not even do the interview, then.

If you remember, Dr Phil said on Joy Behar's show that
They gave me no off-limits, any, no holds barred, ask anything, we`ll answer anything. I have to say, they did.
Doesn't sound to me like he would be so foolish as to then let them edit it instead of him, after that. No good interviewer would.
