What an odd letter for Sudiksha Konanki's parents to have written. I am frankly aghast.

I noted this on another case, parents really don't know what their adult children do...the pictures of their daughter that night, may not match what they know about their daughter. This may be shocking information to them. And also, to be culturally sensitive, it may be something they don't want more information presented.

There is a model about this, "Jo-Hari Window", different people see different parts of ourselves.

You know, if he took her by the hand and brought into the water for obvious reason and she said no, so he could just left her there, walked and never looked back, or if indeed the tide dragged her and he was afraid of asking for help, it is hard to understand how to judge it. “Using incapacitated state of the victim?” He was incapacitated himself.

Morally, there is some fault of his. Legally? Who knows.

Surely overserving minors in “all inclusive” falls on the barmen and if you do it, keep guards on the beach. So there is negative role of the resort culture, sorry.

I think that this is what DR tries to undo now.

My comment is a hypothetical explanation for inconsistency of JR's stories.

His passport has been returned.

The judge is expected to rule on the habeas corpus request on March 28.

Perhaps not. But if a person truly has a loss of memory, he/she may automatically try to organize remaining bits into a cohesive whole for him/herself like we may do with dream fragments. I think too most of us may do that sometimes when it's ordinary forgetting (as most of us are not faced with being black out drunk & talking to LE.)

I have to say the way Josh has been treated is pretty disgusting.

Having him walk through all that media was just the icing on the cake for me - there’s no evidence that he did anything wrong that night yet he’s been treated like a criminal for days now.

Get yourself out of there Josh.

From statements it seems Sudiksha parents also lay no blame with him (theyll be privy to much more info than us to).

Now I hope her body is recovered so she can rest in peace

Back in the day i would be puking my guts out on dry land. The friends that were with me couldn't move me! I heard them discussing on how to move me but i just wanted to sleep in the street! My friends did eventually move me after an hour or so and i hardly remembered anything.

No. JMO - I don’t think he was in the state to do anything or plan anything to be honest, but he says they were kissing…what if after that she said no and he just went back?

Of the whole story, being woken up by mosquitoes on the beach makes most sense. I think he did sleep there.

ETA: I think it was absolutely right for the DR to let JR go.

I’d personally think of how we all can show our support to Sudiksha’s parents and siblings, if any.
