POSTED BY CREEPINGSKILLS: (and somehow I didn't insert the quote correctly) I need some clarification regarding the raid being federal and ATF involvement? I thought the search of CWW's trailer (July 12) was performed by a SWAT team. The only mention of guns in connection with the search that I'm aware of was a neighbor saying the SWAT team had big guns or something to that effect. I don't recall weapons being removed from CWWs home, is this true?
IMO, if LE was trying to keep the search off the radar, and maintain the element of surprise, they wouldn't have shown up on a Sunday with a SWAT team. My assumption is if LE told MS, it would have been after CWW was in custody on July 12. I wouldn't classify this as a heads up, but more as a LE tactic to induce panic and see where that panic takes MS. For example...LE tells MS we just executed a search in MO and then they watch MS very closely to see if he acts on the info (destroying evidence, lawyering up, etc.).
Thanks CSkills...I just realized "my assumption" was probably wrong. (And that has NEVER happened to me before:whatI don't know which agency (except SWAT was used in MSM stories)
"Scott did confirm that his office was involved in a SWAT raid of Wrights trailer in Hillsboro, Missouri on July 12."

(SWAT ??= situations that require increased firepower or specialized tactics. The officers in a SWAT unit have undergone special training and have access to an arsenal of weaponry, armor and surveillance devices beyond standard-issue police gear.) It sure would be a "surprise raid ffor me on a Sunday afternoon." Now that you wisely pointed out the difference....JRR is in Federal custody & CWW in state custody...is this intentional to "keep them apart" even though they have both been charged with the same murder?
ONE more question: Curtis Wayne Wright, 47, of Hillsboro, and Jimmy Ray Rodgers, 25, ... Wright, of Cadet, Mo., were charged with murder in the death of a Florida ... Wright's residence in Hillsboro is 23 miles from Rogers in Cadet. Did anybody else notice sometimes HILLSBORO and sometimes CADET are mentioned as residence.

Hopefully someone with more experience in booking/probation could weigh in here, but IMO, both CWW and JW could be kept separate regardless of the fed v. state custody. I wouldn't think that JR would be held in a federal prison prior to the revocation hearing.
I do think its telling that SWAT showed up at CWW's, but we haven't heard of the same showing of force used in connection with the search of JR's trailer. And JR is the one with a history of possessing an amount of guns to supply a small army.
