#teresasievers family does have custody of Mark and Teresa's two daughters. They are not in the courtroom. In the dependency case, the judge approved them to move to Connecticut with the family. I'm not sure if they're in #swfl or up north. #trialtweets#nbc2courtcoverage
Hunter said the jury will hear from folks in Teresa Sievers' medical office who called her husband to try and locate her when she did not show up for work.
"He realized what he was looking at on the floor of the kitchen was his friend, Dr. Sievers. As he stepped into the kitchen he noticed copious amounts of blood," Hunter said.
When the Lee County Sheriff's Office arrived to investigate her death, they did not find any evidence of burglary at the home. Hunter is talking about all the valuables left in the home after Teresa Sievers was killed.
Investigators found a hammer with hair and blood on it next to Teresa's Sievers body. An autopsy revealed injuries to Teresa's head consistent with a hammer, Hunter said.
