Dylan Redwine Case Discussion Thread/Dylan's Remains Found, #2

If MR hit Dylan, for example, on Sunday night, and then he did not wake up on Monday...there may have not been any physical evidence to find, i.e blood, tissue, signs of struggle, etc. or if he grabbed him by the throat and choked him. JUST EXAMPLES HERE, NOT TRYING TO DIAGNOSE ANYONE.

I don't think if someone is a professional that s/he would even attempt to make a diagnosis without meeting the subject. I used to ask my psychiatrist husband what he thought of various behaviors and he wouldn't go there without knowing the person. He would always give me a "disclaimer" before and IF making his unsubstantiated opinion. (Let's face it, though, human nature is human nature and generally falls along similar lines from normal person to normal person). MOO.

Indeed. Your husband is a smart man. As for the human nature part, I agree - hence why I said Wiki-psychologists. I bet your hubby would get a chuckle if you mentioned that term to him.

lol.about psychology and licensing needed to post opinions and theories on a public forum..lol..scary it is if anyone is looking for their psychology facts from a true crime message board..I certainly don't believe that's a worry to be concerned about here..

The only verified psychology professional that I've seen post here is PensFan.

To become verified is a choice, not a requirement. Anyway, to speculate is not the same as making a clinical diagnosis.

How can I tell the difference between a poster speculating vs giving a psychological diagnosis? What is the point of Websleuths verifying professionals if it doesn't make any difference in what members can post?

He could be a threat to Cory, if they met. He could be a threat to another adult, if he was angered. Someone who kills is always a threat, IMO.

Especially a person that could kill their own and ditch them somewhere like garbage. IMO

Anything is possible. I would tend to speculate that this was all planned since it's just so highly coincidental that Dylan disappeared without a trace so shortly after he arrived.....and if it had of been an accidental anger kill, I would think there would have been more evidence of that at his home or in his vehicle?

IMO how many children are killed accidentally ( excluding car accidents) at that age? Human beings are pretty darn sturdy & resilient. how many are pushed and strike their head fatally? I'd say the odds are nil. IMO

If someone isn't verified (it says if they are below their name), then the poster is speculating. Seems pretty easy to me.

It does not state when does items were found. Maybe they were found earlier.

Along, OR with his remains, tells me, this was found last week. No other remains have been reported IIRC.

I've been wondering that. I'm not even sure we could get good data since there will be plea bargains, over-zealous prosecution, etc.

The moderators are really good about removing anything that violates their posting guidelines. Personally, I have not encountered anything but speculation, and I do know the difference. You do have the option of alerting on a post if you feel it violates the posting rules.

So a member can diagnose a person with any psychological disorder they feel like and since their not verified it's just speculation and it's allowed? That doesn't seem right to me.

Respectfully, I think you have to rely on your own judgment, and the rationality of the posters' arguments. In fairness, people have posted all throughout the threads about what "most men" will do, etc., and few, if any, of them have been verified professionals.

Unverified... Posts end with IMO or I believe etc.

Verified... In my professional opinion will be in the post or under the posters name will be "verified
Professional"

All IMO HTH

Just want to comment that your English skills are excellent! It is very rare that I see proper usage anymore!

Well, since I haven't seen that, I can't say. You might ask the mods.

A member can't diagnose anyone anyway, unless they are a professional.

Members CAN express opinions and speculate.

I don't get it. This is done is every case. Why does this have to be an issue in THIS case? This pettiness is getting old. Scroll and roll, folks.

Move on NOW.

What's the deal with the two different versions of items found?

I always thought it was really odd Mark claimed just shoelaces...

Makes far more sense that a shoe was found.

Baffling... Any ideas on that?
