RIP Dylan :(

I think it's possible that the freezing conditions would preserve his body. They had snow in Colorado Springs and the area he was found well in to May this year which I have been told is not normal.

But it does not sound as though his body was found intact, from what I gathered. Or that he was fully recovered.

:heartbeat::heartbeat::heartbeat:

I have been away this evening.......

I am so, so heartbroken with the news of our sweet, baby boy being found. I can't stop crying. As with many of you, I have been here since the beginning. Dylan won our hearts....RIP little guy, and I pray you did not suffer.

My love and prayers go out to Dylan's family (Elaine, Mike, Cory, AZGrandma) and great friends.

Dylan, you will never be forgotten; wow, we love you so much.

And we will bring justice to the person(s) that did not value your life....

Fly high, little buddy, fly high.......

Off topic slightly, but I wonder what or who the dogs hit on at the lake? They seemed so certain that someone was definitely in there.

The tributary drains into the lake. The dogs were hitting the tributary water.

OT,someone else may be in the lake. I have gotten to where I assume all lakes and rivers have bodies in them. :(

This is what I was thinking too, and I SO hope you are right. But the animals...?

What statement makes you think that?

ETA: nvm just read the MR interview saying they'v only found a few bones. So horrible

LE seems to know his death was a murder, not accident. So perhaps although the body was scattered and not complete, decomposition was retarded enough by the cold that some evidence was preserved.

I read earlier that the chalk art was in Dylan's hometown near or at his home. This is the second picture I've seen today.

Oops, corrected the bigger picture. My apologies.

Rest in peace Dylan........you didn't deserve this and I'm sorry. Whoever is responsible deserves to burn in hell and they will be found out.

I finally checked the news and saw that Dylan has been found, although not the way we hoped. I'm so sorry to read that another precious child has been taken from the world :(

I read this on the Durango Herald article:
9:37 p.m., Dylan sent his last text message to a friend, saying he planned to meet up with him early the next morning.

Does anyone know how this is validated? It appears to me to be new information, but the Herald doesn't give a credit.

Cory Redwine says the focus now shifts to #JusticeForDylan. He talks in depth about it with me on #9NEWS at 9pm/10pm

Or maybe there was some other evidence ,i.e tools of some sort, or rope, just trying to guess. Or if there were sign that his body had been in a bag, for example.

But something like suffocation/strangulation/poisoning will most likely not show up on autopsy after all this time. We all remember poor little Caylee Anthony. No cause of death. Mommy found not guilty and is walking free.

Strangulation will often cause a fracturing of the hyoid bone. IF Dylan was strangled and IF the hyoid bone has been recovered among the remains, the medical examiner would be able to tell if he was strangled.

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/8934706

But aside from strangulation or some sort of gunshot wound that pierced/shattered bones, I agree you're quite right- many other possible CODs would not be able to be determined at this point.
