Regardless of what others believe, MOO, MR has always known where Dylan was and it was not surprise to him. The fact that he wants to "focus" on talking with EH to discuss a memorial is sickening beyond belief. He should have thought about a proper burial, respect and all of that on November 18th. MOO.

Hi AZGrandma. I'm so sorry for your family's loss of such a beautiful young man. I can't imagine how devastating this day has been for all of you. I'm sending you virtual hugs and love, and many prayers for comfort. :hug:

(FWIW, I agree with what you've said about MR. He couldn't even wait an hour before running to the media... who does that? I want to see justice brought for Dylan - whomever is responsible. Does he not realize he's doing something that could prevent justice from ever being served by releasing details to the media? :banghead: )

I'm just sick over all of this today. I'm so sorry it turned out this way.

I wish I was able to give a pass to MR in regard to speaking to the media, but if the detectives investigating your son's murder ask you not to talk to the media why in the world would you turn around and do exactly that? JMO, but that smacks of total narcissism to me. Can't even keep quiet for one day when you've been specifically asked to do so, and when details of what you were told could screw up further investigation? I don't think I've ever heard of a parent seemingly destroying an investigation in such a way... I can't honestly believe that MR isn't aware of what he's doing, and that it will cause problems. I believe the average person knows that when LE asks you to be quiet about something it's for a reason, and usually a very good one. Extremely disappointing. I honestly wanted to be proven wrong, have crow ready and waiting for myself... I'm afraid his actions today don't deter me from my original thoughts.

I just came home from my son's last in-house Little League baseball game. They lost the game, but my tears were not because of that. My tears were tears of sadness mixed with joy of the fact that one chapter in my son's life is now over, but joy that a new one has begun as well.

And then I come home to this. Dylan's smiling baseball picture and the news that he has been found. The news that this smiling boy, with his whole life ahead of him in his eyes, is now gone forever. He won't have that next chapter and all his mother has now is tears of sorrow and pain.

I don't want to muddy my emotions right now with some of the other things I would like to say, but just want to take this moment instead to express my deepest condolences to Elaine, Cory and all of Dylan's loved ones for this tragic news. I will be holding my son close to me tonight, and my other children, and will be thinking of Dylan and his family.

RIP sweet Dylan.

IMO, he shared with the media for the same reason he always has - control. I believe this has always been about control.

This is such sad news, and like many others I'm sure, I was shocked when I heard it earlier today. And now there's a mix of shock, sorrow, and to be honest – a bit of relief that he was finally found. And even more questions. I feel just horrible for Elaine and Cory, Dylan's friends, and everyone else involved.

I hope law enforcement has enough evidence to file charges soon, and had one more thought tonight as I drove home - I hope it's ok to share.

His remains were found by searches 10 miles up a dead-end road, right?

In my opinion, if a stranger were to kidnap a 13-year old boy they wouldn't drive 10 miles up a dead-end road, kill their victim, then drive back down that road in the same direction they came, and passing the area where he went missing from. They would more likely high-tail it out of the area before the boy was discovered missing and before a search was launched.

Like many others, I'm confident that I know what happened to Dylan. At this point the best outcome would be for the perp to admit what he did, tell the whole truth, and take responsibility for it. If that doesn't happen, I hope law enforcement can close the loop and find enough proof to get a conviction soon. I also hope Elaine and his other family gets all the support they need to make it through this extremely difficult time.

God bless everyone who has had a piece of their heart torn by this tragedy. It will soon be time for justice to be served and healing to begin.

AZG-my deepest condolences on the loss of Dylan. I can't begin to imagine what you, Elaine, Cory and your family and loved ones are going through at this time. Although I do not know them personally, Dylan has touched my life so deeply, perhaps that sweet face in his baseball uniform that reminds me so much of my own boys. Thank you for giving Dylan a voice.

I was so sad to hear about Dylan.

I posted a lot during the first month that Dylan was missing, but I have been waiting quietly for updates since then.

I sincerely hope it is not too late to determine COD and figure out what happened to this poor kid.

As for the parents, I am not going to play the blame game tonight. Sadly, I think that any funeral or memorial service will be over-shadowed by the drama between his parents.

When LE says that people in the community shouldn't be concerned, that holds no weight with me. When they say that certain people have been cleared, it holds no weight with me. I remember back to the Matthew Hoffman case in my hometown and all the BS LE spewed to keep the public calm. Just because they say someone isn't a suspect doesn't mean that person is innocent. Just because they say the community shouldn't be concerned doesn't mean that the community shouldn't be concerned. It's just a pat on the head to the general public to go about their daily lives.

If they had cleared Mark, I think they would have pulled Elaine aside and provided her with that evidence. But it seems her feelings about his guilt are stronger than ever. JMO

What LE has said is that they have no reason to believe the public is in danger, they knew early on this was a criminal case and they are awaiting testing results and more while continuing to be vigilant in apprehending Dylan's killer. Doesn't sound clear in the least IMO.

No one has been arrested because they are still investigating. The B thinks he got away with it. WTH does press a conference right after hearing that their son's bones were found, and he wants to "focus" on getting in contact with EH to arrange a memorial to give Dylan a proper burial and show him respect. MR should have thought about giving Dylan a proper burial and respect on November 18th.

Has anyone been cleared? I know LE stated there is "no reason to believe family is involved", but that's the same as they've said all along - not ruling anyone out, or casting suspicion on anyone "in".

If LE states they are still treating it as a criminal investigation, and "not an accident" (per Bender's direct statement to Torres this afternoon) then who is saying that someone has been cleared? no reason to believe doesn't mean - cleared of all suspicion. I don't think they've ruled anyone out, truly. They may have gotten a rush on the DNA ID info., but any further testing would take a while to come back. I don't see how finding Dylan would automatically clear Mark when just 48 hours ago he was not cleared.

I think it's more likely LE made that statement so Mark would feel more comfortable. More likely to talk to the media, to LE, and less likely to be a flight risk.
