Just as deputies were crafting their announcement that Mark Redwine was a person of interest in the death of his son Dylan, a judge was rejecting the elder Redwine's attempt to dismiss his ex-wife's lawsuit.

Elaine Redwine, Dylan's mother, filed the wrongful death lawsuit against her ex-husband on June 29. At the time, she said she has never been shy about who she thinks murdered her son.
