Y'all are doing tremendous work. Sincerely. Awesomeness beyond awesomeness.
I have a suspect in mind...hate that I am even thinking it. No one I know at all. No one that anyone I know even knows. But after reading a lot of articles and looking at all the photos...I hope I am wrong. Sorry for being cryptic.

Stainless would cost more than an aluminum one and not be Used for canning unless it's a larger one. Just wo dering if it was something the bomber had in the home.

Maybe perp/s work in a restaurant kitchen?

There are different sized pressure cookers. The smaller ones, like a cheap one from Family Dollar, are about the size of a large coffee can. Around 2 quart pot size.

ETA: If Inoko brand is hard to find, wonder if LE can check all ebay or other online sites for the last few months for pressure cooker sales, also any local thrift shops. Not sure thrift shops keep that good of a record of items sold though.

Where are you getting "Inoko brand"? The metal stamp says Inox, which means stainless steel.

That is pretty funny. I don't have a problem with profiling at all but at this point I think the bomber is probably a lone wolf white guy.

Ditto.

This case will be broken by open sharing of ideas, not hoarding them. Being overly cautious and not wanting to "be wrong about someone" is nonsense in a situation like this. Everyone is open to scrutiny. If you won't share it here, make sure to share it with the cops. But then, why even mention it here? It does no good here to say "I have a great idea but I can't share it with you." It seems like meaningless gloating and a waste of time.

This is still what I think too. One white American man, maybe two. Not part of an organized group, but maybe sympathetic to a larger movement or group. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess he isn't from metro Boston, but is either from a more rural area to the west or north...(still within New England)

That's pretty interesting, pkz... The backpack straps appear to match up. Then again, there are so many black backpacks. I know my DH has at least two with the same black/grey strap and elastic thingy. :sigh:

Maybe we should blur faces if we post these pics in thread tho? Just a thought.

I understand they had bomb-sniffing dogs go through the area that day. So they must have, IMHO, placed it there during the hours or even minutes just prior to the end of the race.

IF we think about it, the timing was to ignite after the front runners came in, and the larger portion of the participants were due to cross the finish line. At least that's my understanding from news accounts ;though I must admit I haven't watched all programming on this tragedy, meaning not all news stations.

JMHO
fran

bbm, I don't know all the components of a bomb but I wonder what part of this the dogs would have hit on. Not the crock pot,not the battery, not nails or bb's, not the cellphone or the piece of circuit board, then what?

Wow, pkz. Has that been forwarded to authorities?

The backpack does look heavy because of the way he's supporting his right hand with his left.

yes....I do think pics like this may do more harm than good, but this is the newest making the rounds this a.m. If inappropiate, I have no prob if mods choose to delete

Well, That is very interesting, and what an unusual way to carry a backpack.

I will say, if I had to imagine the stereotypical lone wolf domestic terrorist, this guy comes pretty close. He sort of reminds me of Kaczinski. :what:

Then again, he also looks like any number of older tech dudes that my DH works with. Those bigger backpacks are great for carrying laptops and equipment (which is what my DH uses his for). And they all have that sort of disheveled, middle-aged, frumpy-white-guy with goatee look too.

the backpack he has on doesnt mean that anything was inside that one. he could have been carrying something by hand and just dropped it all while wearing a small backpack. my point is that hes pictured at both crime scenes within minutes..

which gets me to another point that no one has brought up yet..
two massive pressure cookers.. could one guy even carry two pressure cookers? that would stand out like a sore thumb if its even possible. im now thinking this is more than one guy involved.. once again in my pic you can see the guy in the back pack walking with a guy in a red hat. hmmm

thoughts??

No one knows the timing if the one photo at the second explosion location though. It could be hours before the other.
