Investigators reported major progress in the Boston Marathon bombing case Wednesday, but that there had been no arrest, despite conflicting news accounts.
The only thing I worry about is people who could possibly be suffering from situational depression (brought on by the bombing) finding out they're seen as suspects and then feeling worse. I would hate for it to be seen as online bullying. But it's a balancing act - we all want to know who did this, and at times like this it's natural to be curious and to look for answers.
Then there's the whole innocent until proven guilty thing.
Initially hailed by the media as a hero, Jewell was later considered a suspect. Jewell's case is considered an example of the damage that can be done by reporting based on unreliable or incomplete information.[2]
Despite never being charged, he underwent a "trial by media" with great toll on his personal and professional life. Eventually he was completely exonerated; Eric Robert Rudolph was later found to have been the bomber.[3][4] In 2006, Governor Sonny Perdue publicly thanked Jewell on behalf of the state of Georgia for saving the lives of those at the Olympics.
I am relatively new here.
Can someone tell me what "downstairs" means? I have seen this referenced throughout the whole bombing thing.
Is it the Scanner thread, which is in the Parking Lot? That's what I have been thinking this whole time, but if I am wrong I want to be made whole by being corrected! LOL!!
The guy that was talked about before with the orange juice and altoids had a white hat on :what:...it was on forwards though.
