I have seen no indication that TH was controlled by KH against her will. Given that, she has the personal responsibility not to agree to do something, and/or to change her mind if she has built up resentment and anger about it.
I don't know any stay at home mothers who share household and parenting chores equally with their working husbands, unless you include the hours the husband spends working and commuting in the equation as part of the household and parenting responsibilities (which I do).
ITA with you. If KH was so bad to TH, she could have left. She could have tried divorce and people would have understood that she was getting out of a bad home and trying to get a better life for herself. Instead, she chooses to do something to KH's son to get back at him, this after she probably had an affair on him after suspecting he had an affair (let me tell how how mature that is). If resentment against KH built, she let it build and let it help her make bad choices in life.
Even if he was controlling, that doesn't mean she could have done something other than causing KH pain like this. There are always choices in life, and she chose to make her other children's lives hell just to get back at Kaine, IMO. She obviously cares more about herself and her needs than anyone else's and hell hath no fury if you dare to cross her.
I don't think she was a controlled, submissive wife afraid of her husband. That just doesn't fit her to me, and I don't think that Kaine was all that controlling anyway. Maybe very insensitive and hurtful if he was having an affair, but we've never heard talk ever of there being actual abuse, whether it was mental, emotional, or physical. And just because Kyron seemed to have a lot of fears doesn't mean he was abused. My stepdaughter is afraid of everything, and it's not because of anything the family or I have done to her. It's because she still has severe security issues five years after her mom left. Who knows, maybe being shuffled around between houses gave Kyron security issues too.
All we've heard is that TH hired someone because Kaine dared to have an affair on her (and how ironic is that if she got him by having an affair in the first place. I love how women like that don't think the man would ever have another affair after them). So it's more he dared to hurt me, and now I have to get back at him. She seems to have the maturity and emotional level of a teenager.
Besides, if KH was so controlling and abusive, how is it that he's working so well with LE and possibly living with DY and TY? We can tell from the pressers that he is getting along with LE and DY and TY. If anything, what keeps coming across is that KH, DY, TY, and LE are united in finding Kyron and bringing him home dead or alive. Also, I don't think DY and TY would allow him in their house if he was so abusive and controlling. I think TH is trying to make Kaine out to be a monster to get more sympathy for herself. And we can see how much it's not working. All IMO.
