Family Sets Up Website for Kyron - BringKyronHome.org /All Fundraising Information

Transfer Prohibited is usually just used to ensure the site isn't hijacked. Some hosting companies default your page that way. A lot of .org addresses are automatically locked. I checked out FastDomain Inc. and it looks like the sites are defaulted at TRANSFER PROHIBITED and you need to change it yourself if you want to transfer the address to another person: http://helpdesk.fastdomain.com/index.php/kb/article/000484

I think this is the one Michael Cook set up: www.bringkyronhome.info

So this is NOT the same site MC set up, as Kaine's is: http://www.bringkyronhome.org

Similar enough to cause confusion.

And the suggestion to call out his name seemed a bit risky to me too.

IMHO, assuming he IS "stashed" somewhere, I can't imagine the kidnapper taking him out in public very often. At least not for a few months, when his appearance might be different enough (new glasses, longer hair, teeth all the way in) that he wouldn't be easily recognized. The likelihood that a kid you see at McDonald's eating a Happy Meal is Kyron is slim to none.:twocents:

I've asked a mod to verify the Kyron Fund and hope that we will be provided with specific information about the fund, who receives donations, and how it is used.

Thanks.

I just went there and clicked numerous times on the donate link and nothing is happening.

I wanted to compare them side-by-side but I can't get the .info one (MC) to open. Dunno if it's my connection, which is going up and down right now, or if the first one has been taken down. Can anyone else open it?

If it's still there, it might be just a nomenclature change. At one point I owned the .net .org. .com domain names for my website.

Bad idea to call out "Kyron" to a child who might look like him. And stepping in between the child and an adult could get you arrested... or hurt seriously. Don't try to take the law into your own hands. If you are not sure... just observe.
IF you see a boy who you think might be him.... and you are lucky enough to get farily close, you could ask him his name after a brief conversation... comment on his shirt or his shoes... but if he refuses to answer or talk to you, then watch the adult(s) and pay attention if they act suspicious. Get a license number if possible, but do not call LE unless you have a very strong belief that it is Kyron and the adult(s) are acting suspiciously. If the child reacts normally to whoever he is with, doesn't act scared or nervous... there's a good chance it is NOT him. It takes years for a kidnapped child to "forget" his real parents and his home. Two months is not enough.
Keep in mind, his appearance could change... but the basic features are going to be the same... shape of face, nose, mouth, and probably eye color, etc. I don't think 7 year olds wear can wear contacts to alter the color, but it's possible.

Remember that Shasta Groene was found @ a Denny's with her kidnapper; Elizabeth Smart was found on the street with her kidnappers. What it took was someone noticing and calling LE to intervene. Thank God for those people who were suspicious and didn't just shrug it off.

While I understand the "getting to know Kyron" page, I don't believe in its usefullness. The page should be dedicated to Kyron's looks, personality, the fact that he wears glasses (which mind you is NOT even on the flyer). Also should be included, any missing teeth, any seizure activity (which has not been proven -- but if this is fact the case, should be at the top of the list).

How about last seen at?

How about who he was with? TH?

Color of the truck?

I could go on, but I do hope someone updates the page accordingly.

Hugs,

Mel

Gotcha. I'm beginning to think he didn't know his wife at all, and knew very little about Kyron's daily activities :( Maybe that's the reason there's so little information on the website.

Kyron Horman's Parents Launch Website
POSTED: 6:59 pm PDT August 18, 2010
UPDATED: 7:21 pm PDT August 18, 2010

Kaine Horman, father of the 7-year-old, said BringKyronHome.org is a resource for everything related to the boy and the investigation.

“We want people to know that this website represents the presence of Kyron’s parents and no one else. Everything that is on here comes directly from us," Kaine Horman said.

snip

A handful of websites offering updates about the case popped up since the boy vanished June 4 from Skyline School. Among the most prominent, a Facebook pagecalled Missing Kyron Horman, has gathered tens of thousands of followers.

Kyron's parents asked people interested in organizing fundraisers to contact the woman running the Facebook page.

Don't know where to put this..

I had talked w/Kaine on Sunday and the BringKyronHome.org website came up.

He talked about plans of putting "approved" fundraiser links up also so people know they have been authorized by the family.

Also, perhaps adding contact info for him and Desiree..
(This was just from my convo w/him, so it's not "for sure")

I do notice it is updated (Wall of Hope moved, Fundraiser @ Godfather's)

PLEASE everyone check this site frequently for updates if you can =)

Thank you!! =)

I really didn't want to say I spoke w/him as it was a very emotional conversation for me, but I could tell how it is so VERY important to him to continue to get the word out about Kyron..

And until Kyron is found I plan on fully supporting the family's efforts to keep his information out there in any way possible =)

 I know you didn't want to mention it. On the other hand, I think it is important for our members to know that he appears 100% genuine to you and how much he really wants our help in finding Kyron. :blowkiss:
