LOL! What is it with Grandma's and they're infinite wealth of wisdom?
Mine tried to walk in the bathroom when I was in there and I freaked, she just said "If you've got someting I don't have, I'll shoot it off!" LOL!!![/quote] I lub your grammy, reminds me of myself.
That's my Gram! She's also famous for drinking wine out of a mason jar and teaching anyone who walks by the Charleston. I love this, I'm from S.C.
BTW, this grand old lady just celebrated her 96th birthday and has ALL of her original teeth! GO GRAM!
Praise God!
Exactly!
I completely understand and I agree with you to a certain degree. While its obviously not their fault that they're here illegally (or that their parents are illegal), the fact remains that AMERICAN students should have first crack at the monies available from these scholarships. I'm in agreement that an educated immigrant is far more valuable to America than an uneducated immigrant, but American children should have first crack at any available funding from our government.
Absolutely, though I have new mexican family, just found and met my 28 year old half sister, half american half mexican, I believe legal americans should be taken care of by our country and citizens first. If anyone is illegal, they shouldn't be given anything but the door to legality. Just like the door would be shown to me whether it be a door of a ajil cell, class room, church, home, immigration office, border fence, the visionary door to moral, ethical, legal and spiritual law.
I see your point but I think there should be special steps for them to become legal before the assistance is offered.
Great comment.
