He is a brave man to have sacrificed his arm the way he did to save his life. I could only imagine what was going thru his head when the bizzare chain of events were happening. My prayers go out to him and his family for a speedy recovery.

It's happened out here. One farmer has a prothesis and hook from getting caught in a piece of farm equipment. Many farmers are missing a finger or two. Even the BarnGod is missing part of his right ring finger on his right hand. Got it caught repairing a windmill.

I would have had to lay there and die. I couldn't have done it.

I saw a farmer that didn't do that - his arm had been caught in a combine and took him all the way into the combine, though... he didn't actually fit.

It's not pretty.
