Fiber evidence discussion

Does anyone know what Burke wore to the White's Christmas supper on December 25? I have done a diligent search and can not find an Internet reference to it and I don't remember it being addressed in the major books. TIA

Would that be considered cotton? I'm picturing the ones you're talking about now... but am unsure of what the material would be.

I have to step outside for a few... I'll be right back.

I have owned some of this type glove and when laundered they shrunk. I don't recall reading the fiber label but I'd speculate they were cotton. I would imagine John's khaki pants would be of a much higher quality cotton or cotton blend than these gloves. I wish we had access to the fiber analysis (assuming Smit had fiber testing done on his findings).

K. I looked up canvas, and apparently, it can be made of cotton:

NOUN: 1. A heavy, coarse, closely woven fabric of cotton, hemp, or flax, used for tents and sails.

Well, that may explain some of the interview questions asked about John's sailboating habits and gear. Wish I could remember which depo/interview, but it seems I remember that LE asked Patsy several questions about stuff John used when sailing or boating, if I remember correctly.

Yes, add the bat to the long and winding list of items found in the R home that do not belong to them. The bat, the cigar box (I thought JR admitted it was his) the flashlight, kleenex box, the pineapple, the bowl it was in, the "water glass" and tea bag, the Santa bear, the panties on the body of JBR, the tape, cord....
oh, yeah. And one thing they ACTED as if it didn't belong to them, as they were so anxious and willing to leave it behind...the body of their daughter.

NOPE...I posted this portion of John's interview on another thread. I will go back and dig it up. He admitted to owning ONE of the boxes of cigars...there were actually two of them, and he claims that he had no idea where the other one came from. And there were way more things that you can add to the list of things that they claimed didn't belong to them. Go to Forums For Justice...and look up my two threads that I started..."Patsy's 1998 Interview...Things that were out of place"..and "John's 1998 interview...Things that were strange or out of place"...There is a list on both of them as long as your arm.

16 JOHN RAMSEY: Well, in terms of the pictures,

17 this cigar box is different, certainly.
18 LOU SMIT: And what do you mean by that?

19 JOHN RAMSEY: Well, in terms of versus the other

20 picture, it's kind of resting on its bottom here,

21 more or less. Here it's a different box.

22 LOU SMIT: So you had more than one box

23 of cigars?

24 JOHN RAMSEY: I don't remember that box,
25 Romeo and Juliets. I remember this. The Cubans.

0290

1 LOU SMIT: (INAUDIBLE) the same box?

2 JOHN RAMSEY: No, I don't remember that box.

3 LOU SMIT: Okay. That's it?

4 JOHN RAMSEY: Yeah. I don't. I don't. This --

Yeah, the intruders with the moving van. Maybe this crime was committed by U.Haul.

LOL...I wonder if the police investigated THEM??

Yeah, someone was hauling a load all right and it stinks to high heaven. (Sorry, the devil made me say that. :slap:)

Why was Smit so interested in the cigar boxes? I never could figure that out. Cuban cigars are illegal in this country but I seriously doubt Smit was looking to turn John in for illegal cigars.

Yeah, that's small potatoes.
