First Hand Knowledge Of What It Feels Like To Be Strangled!!

<<ATTENTION....other posters....please help me find this quote....the reference to Jackie Kennedy, by Patsy. TIA....>>

DOI, chapter 5, pg 35.

"At that moment a picture of Jackie Kennedy abruptly flashed across my mind.
I remembered seeing her wearing a black veil, walking hand in hand with her two children to JFK's grave site"

Incidently she goes on to say "On Sunday, Dec 29, when I came down the Fernies stairs in the black dress to go to the hastily arranged memorial service at St Johns Church, John glanced up and said ' you look beautiful'.

What a gem PR is, on JonBenet's service day, she is still thinking about herself.
I've noticed that same thing about that passage, and thought of it immediately when reference to Jackie Kennedy came up. On the day of my father's funeral, the last thing anyone in my family was thinking of was what the others looked like. We were all concerned with making sure everyone from out of town could find the funeral home and deciding who would go up to honor Dad in what order.

I wonder if JR ever even said that. It sounds like the type of thing Patsy might like her audience to hear - "Even on the day I laid my child to rest, I needed validation about my appearance, and of course I got it - I dressed myself up like Jackie Kennedy, and John told me I looked beautiful - and I need to make sure everyone knows it. Everything's all about me."

All of DOI is nothing but a pity party for J&P (when it's not attempting to explain away the things that make the Rs look guilty.) Funny how they're so angry at the police for thinking they're guilty, and angry at the media for chasing them to get a story, but neither of them are angry at the killer who put them in that position in the first place. It's not because of their solid Christian faith - faithful Christians wouldn't call someone's wife and pretend to be his affair in the spirit of revenge.

 Anybody who can read the above passage from DOI (her own words) and not see this woman as shallow, narcissistic, and mentally ill is beyond me. Jesus Christ, this was her murdered daughter's funeral. Oh wait a minute...I forgot...she killed her. Best to focus on looks that day.

Veronica, for those who DO NOT think it is strange or unfeeling that John Ramsey tried to arrange to leave Boulder 20 minutes after finding his daughter, I posted the other day a show I had recently seen of an interview with a woman who had buried her son and the HARDEST thing she had to do, still with tears in her eyes, is leave him alone after the burial. All she could think of is he is alone and it cold. I would be insane and inconsolable.

I am sorry but 20 minutes after finding your daughter and wanting to get away to be with family DOES NOT CUT IT. I would think you might have to get use to the idea of her being dead, unless of course, you already had, if one can get use to it in 5 or 6 hours OR if one had something to do with it. Please these two are in it up to their ears.

Exactly...anyone who can look at the behavior of the JR and PR and think this was even remotely normal is downright insane. But there are those people who will find a way to proclaim that they are innocent until you actually produce video footage of the incidents that occurred that night. Even then, the defenders would say someone manufactured it. The Ramseys never acted like innocent parents...never.

And if I were JonBenet's mom, people would have had to physically pry me away from her body. Thinking of her parents abandoning her minutes after "finding" her always reduces me to tears. An innocent parent would NEVER leave so easily. How could you even process finding her dead within minutes? Calling to arrange a flight to Atlanta 20 minutes after finding her. C'mon how could you ever defend that? EVER? Yet here we are.

I just said to my son the other day, one of the problems Patsy had is the way she looked, meaning her "face". She had that against her from the get. She looks tough, she looks as if she is saying "I didn't do it, I am smarter than you, try and get me, forget it, not going to happen and also face it I am just smarter than all of you". She looks tough and she was tough.

What I mean is she looks like she has the capacity to be what she has been described as.
I have seen Patsy in person. Although I'd never claim I knew her. Seeing is different than knowing, she had that Ice Princess exterior. One of the comments someone who knew her said to me once was yes she look formidable and she certainly can be but she can also be very nice. But Solace I know what you mean . It was the set of the jaw. To see her you knew several things. Money social privilege and she could be formidable. The eyes and the jawline were set and determined.

Colorado: Please do not misunderstand. I am saying this is the way she appears and comes across. The more I read about her and the more I know about her, I think she is incredibly strong, unusually strong and I like that type of person. There are many things about Patsy that I like. Truly. I just feel she killed her daughter. I also feel that if you get in her way, she would more than likely dismiss you. She comes across as having a lot of personality, etc.

I just feel as strong as she was, that to me says, she could rise to the occasion of doing this thing and then covering it up and go on living. That would be very very hard for me to do, go on living, but she could do it. It takes incredible strength (good or bad) and she had it.

Exactly. A mother is not going anywhere for a good long time and even then will have to be sedated, big time. I am talking syringes. Nothing less will do.

John Douglas says...(and you can take or leave his comments) that a person cannot commit a horrible crime such as this and continue on living their life as if nothing happened.
One does not "snap" and then return to normal....so he says. One of the reasons he says that Patsy is not guilty. Personally, I think $$ is the reason he can justify anything in this case.

 How does one "look like a real b_tch?" What physical characteristics does one have to have in order to "look" like a b_tch? This is a valid question---I'm just curious as to what part of Patys' physical appearance, specifically, makes you say that she looked like a real b_itch?
Not just the way that she looked..(and yes, sometimes it is possible to tell alot a person, by the way they look...for example....snooty people, have that turned up nose look...(this is where the phrase..."stuck up" comes from)....but, also in her actions. She seemed to think that she was better than other people....can you not see that about her?

Thank you....my thoughts exactly. To you posters out there that say "how can someone LOOK like a "B". " ? Have you NOT ever seen someone that looked COLD to you..in other words...a "B".

Definitely. There are those who say "you cannot judge a book by its cover", but I happen to believe a good part of the time, one can and Patsy looked like she got and took what she wanted.

John Douglas is so full of $$%#. Who says they went on living their life as if nothing happened. She was able to continue on, but not without drugs I bet. I also read that she flipped out many a time.

That tells me a LOT about her personality....it seems to me that John telling her that she looked beautiful...(if HE really said that)...was more important to her than her daughter's murder and funeral. If I was going to my child's funeral, the last thing on my mind, would be the way that I looked. And IF my husband had of told me that I looked beautiful, I would have clawed his eyeballs out...as I was saying..."Our daughter was murdered, and we are going to her funeral...and you tell me that I look BEAUTIFUL...what the h*ll is WRONG with you, man"?

It's "funny" to me how, they never acted SHOCKED at all. They just wanted to get the heck out of dodge ( I personally think that they were intending to skip the country) with the "remaining family members"....as John said while making his travel plans. "Remaining family members"? The heck with JONBENET...she is dead...she can't go. So, this trip will be for the "remaining family members".

It is the R's post death behaviour that has me convinced they were involved in the death of their daughter.

We heard alllll about when they found JB, PR's hysterics, wailing, flinging herself on the body etc- but when it came to leave- they just upped and walked out- just like that.
No wailing, no clinging to the body, nothing- just left quietly...why?
Because they just wanted out of there, out of the nightmare of the night before and away from the daughter who they themselves put there in that position..

YEP...and even when her body was found...John simply yelled..."I found her"...and Fleet yelled to call and ambulance....STILL....Patsy's butt sat on the couch, not budging an inch. If it were me, and my husband had yelled "I FOUND her!"....and Fleet yelled to call an ambulance....here is MY thoughts and actions. "OH MY GOSH.....THANK you God.....she has been found....she must be injured, since Fleet said to call an ambulance. I have to get to her her...and see if I can help!!! Everybody...get out of my way...because I am COMING through...I have to help my baby". Patsy's reaction: She still stayed seated....not budging an inch....her friends had to PULL her down the hallway. What a strange reaction for someone that SUPPOSEDLY didn't know if her child was alive and injured...or dead. People would have been trying to HOLD ME BACK...because I would have been knocking people down to get to my MAYBE injured child....not having to PULL me down the hallway. My thoughts are that Patsy KNEW that JB was dead.....HOW did she know, you ask? Because, she is the one that killed her...IMO She killed "THAT child".

Great post Ames. I never thought of that. Fleet White did say "call an ambulance". So you are right, I would have thought "she's alive" and come running. She did not though, did she.
