Let's put aside the gun issue. Let's just assume everyone has access to guns and that's all there is to it.

To get these kids to stop killing their classmates we have to figure out why this keeps happening.

What is going on at home? In their life?

That's what we need to find out. Why these kids think killing is the answer.

so do we know how long he was running around shooting?

confirmed msnbc apparently there a tweet from earlier that alarmed a student who reported it to cops so now we know how they got so much info so fast ( LE being able to review his computer so fast felt odd to me so fast ) makes sense now moo

Not again. My heart can't stand any more of this. :anguish:

Not another mass fatality event. At another school. Maybe a dozen kids are dead. Maybe a dozen or more are injured. More will likely die before they recover. Families traumatized. Communities traumatized.

Please, let's remember not bring guns into this mass shooting discussion, as that might be considered politicizing things. Then people might argue with each other instead of mourn, although they're not mutually exclusive. But then, an argument isn't the same as a discussion, either, and most people are capable of the latter. Usually. Okay, sometimes.

But I get it; I understand. Too soon.

Rage, anger management issues and mental health need to be properly addressed.

People who do these shootings are angry and anger is a secondary emotion. I am guessing in this instance, it is hurt and pain that is the primary emotion, so what can we do to help these people before they escalate to harming others? We can offer phychiatric care, but they have to want the help. Would more education for parents on warning signs in their children help? I really do not know but I sure wish I did.

Why is it that schools cannot have locked doors so that no one unauthorized is allowed to just walk in? I don’t understand this.
