Wasn't it stated that he took some guns with him to the new place he went to live at? That means he already had guns that could of been acquired over a period of time?

Yes, he had been purchasing for awhile, is my understanding.

It states in the MSM link the information came from law enforcement sources. It is my understanding that would probably be from the investigators interrogating NC after he was taken to the PD after LE caught him?
If he was treated for mental illness a year before this shooting he had dealings with a mental health facility in regard to that i would think, but LE stated they couldn't say what it was for, and i would think because it is protected information under HIPPA law?

The released CPS report stated depression, autism and ADHD.

“Bennett said Cruz’s younger brother, who turns 18 next week, has continued to stay at the suburban Lantana home. On Friday, sources close to the investigation confirm, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputies, assisting their Broward County counterparts, removed a person at midday from the mobile home to a mental health facility for treatment. Bennett said the person is Nikolas’ brother, whom The Palm Beach Post is not naming because he is a juvenile....

Court records show Deschamps filed a petition Thursday to administer Lynda Cruz’s estate.”

Wow. There are some really sick people in our society. Some nutjobs are attacking the students, calling names, etc. This should not be tolerated. These kids should be allowed to heal. These conspiracy theorist freaks need to go away or face public ridicule themselves.

‘I am not a crisis actor’: Florida teens fire back at right-wing conspiracy theorists

Some prominent figures in the right-wing media are suggesting that the students are making it all up, or that the children are paid actors or that their talking points have been manufactured by public relations experts on the left.

An aide to a Florida legislator was even fired Tuesday after claiming two survivors who spoke to CNN were not students, but instead “actors that travel to various crisis when they happen.”

Cruel, insane. They do this to the poor families of children killed at Sandy Hook, too. Isn't there some way they can be punished? Civil suits? I hate to think these victims and families, too, will have to face this insanity for years to come.

I am thinking this wasn't particularly planned, though it may have been a fantasy for a long time. He liked guns and purchased them, perhaps not with a particular goal in mind but just because he liked them, had the money, and knew how to get them. And, then, the fantasy was something he could actually accomplish rather than just think about, so he did it.

I don't see a particular planner here - just someone with guns who decided to kill and since he had guns, he did it.

(I think the smoke alarm went off because of gunpowder, not because he pulled it. Unless someone knows that couldn't happen, that's the scenario that makes most sense to me.)

I think so too - I think he would have continued shooting but the fire alarm stopped him.

Not just moments. He lived with new family for 3 months, and they are claiming that he was behaving well all this time. I presume it was because he had the plan and didn't want anything to interfere with it.

I dont think they said he behaving well -- they stated that had no clue that he would leave there house and commit the deadliest school shooting since Sandy Hook -- there is a world of difference

There is often a lot of isolative behavior associated with spectrum disorders.

To them that could easily be perceived as depression as a result of loss.

Me either generally speaking they are very "in the moment"

and this planning consisted of the exact same skill set as packing a lunch

hold the gun in hand

grab bullets

Call Uber

Sit in car

Walk

Shoot

Nothing really that much planned

I def think Val Day was the time element

It is cruel.

Hang tough, students. You're going to need thick skins against all the comments from people who want to silence you.

OK CARIIS,
Take us into the mind of NC and talk to us like he was talking to himself and help us to understand- why that day,
why kill other teachers and kids, why the school. Please.
You really have great insight so help us climb into his mind.

After Florida shooting, schools report dozens of threats
Copycat phenomenon happens where guns accessible

By FAITH KARIMI, CNN

(CNN) - After the massacre in Florida last week, schools have faced dozens of incidents involving a threat or a weapon on campus.

Nationwide, schools have reported at least 56 such incidents since the February 14 shooting in Parkland, Florida, including threats via social media networks such as Snapchat and Instagram, according to CNN and affiliate reporting.

Some were reported in Florida, including in Broward County, where a gunman killed 17 people last week at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. But incidents happened in other states as well, including Texas, Virginia and California.

Though some turned out to be hoaxes, they prompted lockdowns and led classes to be canceled as a precaution...

After his mother died, Cruz moved in with the Snead family of Pompano Beach — and told them he had an $800,000 inheritance, most of which he said he would get when he turns 22.

“The kid was not hurting for money at any point,” said Jim Lewis, the lawyer representing the Sneads. “Everyone knows about it. The question is if it’s available now.”

She later filed a medical malpractice suit against a doctor and a clinic over his treatment before his death. Lynda Cruz reached a settlement in 2008. As part of the lawsuit, a court-appointed attorney-ad litem was appointed to gauge Nikolas and Zachary’s share of the settlement; he recommended the children get the entire amount of $175,000, to be kept in an annuity until they were adults.

The attorney, William Ruggiero, of Miami, did not recall exactly what went into his recommendation a decade ago.

“I must have had a bad feeling about mom,” Ruggiero said. “I recommended that she get nothing. I’ve never done that before.”

Lynda Cruz went on to sell the Parkland home, 6166 NW 80th Terr., for $575,000 in January 2017, according to Broward County property records. She died in November of a respiratory illness, leaving Cruz and his brother without family to live with.
