Again, people don't seem to understand what short sale means. She wasn't going to make any money on the house. If anybody lost money, it would be the bank. Here is the description of what short sale is.
"Short sales are usually initiated by the homeowner, often when the value of a home drops by 20% or more. Before the process can begin, the lender that holds the mortgage must sign off on the decision to execute a short sale. Additionally, the lender, typically a bank, needs documentation that explains why a short sale makes sense; after all, the lending institution could lose a lot of money in the process."

Who pays the $200,000 plus? She does not owe it?

Depends on her agreement with the bank. But in most cases bank would consider mortgage paid in full.

"When the home sells, the bank will get back less than the full amount the Smiths borrowed; in most cases, however, the lender will consider their mortgage paid in full."

Here is the definition of short sale. The seller is supposed to show they are trying to get tge highest amount, The seller is not hecessarily off the hook for the deficiency,

Showing a house in such a state is not right. It should have been made more presentable.

What state? Photos show mostly clean house. There are much more cluttered houses for sale right now, and those are not short sales.

From your article———-

Opponents say that banks have no interest in doing fire sales, and will do a comparable market analysis before setting or accepting a price for a property. Further, the listing price of a short sale may be an amount the seller's agent thinks the bank might accept – rather than the amount the bank has actually agreed to accept. The bank might find the price too low, or the seller might list the property below market with the intention of generating a bidding war. In some states, the seller will have a deficiency judgment against him, which obligates him to pay the bank back the difference between the mortgage amount and the sale price of the home, so it's in the seller's best interest to get as much money as possible.

The Latest: Sheriff says students will pay costs for threats

http://www.mysuncoast.com/ap/the-la...l&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_campaign=buffer

A Florida sheriff says students or their families will be responsible for investigative costs after more threats were made about harming people at schools.

................................

This is how it should be.

Kids need to stop trying to impress their friends by making school threats on social media, hit the books, start making the grade, and make something of themselves for a change.

I cannot believe that this is the generation that will be supporting me when I get old.

SMH

Which generation birthed/raised this generation of which you speak? And why do you believe it failed so miserably?

Well, if she were obligated to pay the amount she owed on the house, maybe NC would have had less money to purchase all his weapons. I have no idea why I should be concerned about this to begin with.

Unless there is something I do not know, she would owe the difference so the more she can get, the better.

There is piled up stuff in a desk area by the kitchen , is it? It looks like some plastic bage of garbage. Bags , It cannot correct. The bathroom with stuff. The office area with books, papers.

The agent selling the homes in high end areas knows this.m I feel she was really taken advantage of. What would be the commission on sail. Geez, no correction!

A short sale is not the same thing as regularly selling a home in a high end area. A short sale is basically the step before foreclosure. This link may give you more insight on what a short sale actually entitles.

If she was obligated to pay the amount left on the house, it would be someone regularly selling their house and owing what’s left on their mortgage. Banks agree to short sales because foreclosure is expensive for them. Why is this even being beat to death? The house was presentable.

From the below link -

A short sale refers to an agreement between you and your lender that the lender will accept less than the full payoff amount for your mortgage.

Getting rid of trash and clutter. A tablecloth can go a long ways on covering up ugly tables such as in the office,

Doesn’t she owe the difference in money? Or does the bank say, “ Oh well.”

The bank says “oh well, we are getting less than the balance due on the mortgage, but it’s better than going thru foreclosure”.

Well, my point exactly. House wasn't in best shape, obviously, but it didn't look cluttered. Anybody can go on-line right now and find much more cluttered houses for sale.

Yes sorry, I should have responded to one of Humans posts and not yours.

I know why I am concerned. She was a woman living under tremendous stress with children who had lots of needs. Add to it now she is losing her home.

Who knows how her mental state affected her homelife. Not good, I am sure.

She started out with the dream of two adorable babies. It turned into a nightmare for her. She did not ask for her husband to die. She took babies that were born to a mother with issues. Noble.

Life beat her down. And it seems she was failed . The police write her off. The mental health did not see his potential. She tried to save money when she got sick. Her life was probably out of control. No friends. No one to confide in .

Dealing with her difficulties all alone.

It's kind of hard to raise babies, adorable or not, when one is nearing 50. These two people adopted these two young children at pretty advanced ages. Which in retrospect wasn't the best idea. It would be hard to raise normally developing children at her age, let alone ones with special needs and numerous issues.

The hearing being canceled most likely was done because Judge Green already arrived at a decision regarding the 'estate'. How else did the Sun Sentinel know that a Kia was listed as an asset? Just think about it.

We'll most likely not hear anything until the next article announcing NC will continue to be represented by his 2 public defenders after the Grand Jury indictment next week.

MOO

Kia was listed in court documents. I am not sure how the judge could just decide about an estate without a hearing. Potentially money could be coming as not part of the estate but something else. Trust? Life insurance policy?

An article said it was a private adoption. It cost a lot for both Almost $65,000 so they had plentyof money.

Are there no rules for private adoptions?

I know in the Dr. Theresa Siever’s case the gandmother is guardian and she is quite old. People were appalled when some of us thought she was too old. I am retired myself so I am not a youngster complaining.

Some kids are impossible to get adopted but would an infant be impossible?

Some people are running marathons at that age so there are differences

I’m curious about what the general consensus is from the thread on Rogers business? Any thoughts on the value of his share(s) left behind? Did he have a Will?
